Acetate Inked blooms
Karen has a cool idea this week in the try a new technique challenge for using your water based ink on acetate to apply to the base. ( there are cool photos in the thread here) I have never actually thought of bending it before so, I tried this a few times and once on some watercolor paper. the ones on this smooth Neenah cardstock ended up much softer and have more color flow on them than the watercolor paper did. This is broken china, cracked pistachio and wilted violets oxides. the flower is Awaken from Penny Black its heat embossed with some Stampin Up pewter powder over the top of the dried background and then I decided to fill in the petals and stems with some regular distress ink markers ( same colors) and traced along the under sides with a pale grey zig marker. the sentiment is from the Altenew crafty friends set and reads my soul is fed with stamps and ink. and is up on foam pop dots over the base. This one is A6 in real life.
