Spring Faire day 1

hall way inside Hosanna Christian Schools spring fair. I've considered building walls to hang things from to out behind the display but, this is also a fundraiser for the school and a whole lot of people come by just to see it and or contribute so, for the people who want to show their grandparents their mug shot on the wall... it would not be a great day for them to see I have blocked the view.

Tim got some additional rungs into the larger ladder on the right last weekend so, it was functional this round too :) the tub for the 3-d things is not working so great. I think it needs something under the cloth to boost that stuff up higher out so its more visible. did hang some of them on the hanging clips tonight before I left but, may change things in the morning.

just more view, most of these were shot on auto as I was hand holding this and lighting is next to nil.

this basket on the bottom is all those 4" cards from the last few days... ( most did not sell today) however lots of 3" cards sold, a lot of mothers day, some cones, one thing of buttons. and birthday cards. a few funny friendship ones. but, the Easter (nothing Easter ) has sold, no tall bags nor paper baskets either.

almost all the flower pot cards were gone today did remove this basket and consolidated what was left into other containers.

just more views.

the overhead lights stop about right here in the hallway and then are are none to the left of this ladder.

From this angle you can see the other side of the hallway where I normally put this booth, so this side of the hallway has no door so, it is a larger piece of hall and there will be room for the spinner racks in November. because, in November the biggest seller is Christmas and of course there is none of that out in this display so, it looks a little small to me.

scalloped wing folds

So, this was totally done because, a gal wandered into the chat box thread a while back looking for instructions to make this card she had found on etsy. and this was my best attempt. best guess is the gal on etsy has some kind of a system to get the flaps at more perfect rounded flaps, but this is what I did... and the lace is so big and was such a mess on the back side I mounted the pockets to an actual 6" card base. the wings I did sew up and the cream piece in the center pocket will pull out. The handmade flower on this was made by my friend Janice, and she has the softest yarn. I have been hoarding these and decided to use one here. Thanks Janice!

this was an 12" piece of card stock that was scored at the quarters and then one quarter was cut out. This circle nestie die is from the grand circles set and I just traced it with a pencil and cut it out by hand then folded up the flaps to make the pocket. ( then this was too large ) so the whole thing went into the paper cutter and I took more off the straight edges and cut down the rounded flaps several times until I got the pocket to show the cream piece a few times. so the rounded parts being cut by hand are not so "perfect" as die cuts would have been. this may be easier if there was an arch shaped die. ( for all I know there is) but, this is what I came up with going with things I had laying around.
no clue if that gal was able to create her own or not. we've never seen her again in the thread.

Prepping

Decided there was room for one more tray on the ladders today so, put some vintage buttons into vintage jello molds again.

they are all different and these molds are a little larger then the ones I did the first time a few years ago.

found this vintage tub/basin at a yard sale last week? think it was last week for 2.00 its holding all the tall bags and all the little baskets I made for the booth with the pansy embroidered cloth that was a gift from Pansy. ( Thanks so much!) Its up on an vintage wood luggage rack.

had time to do a couple more 4" simple note cards after everything was grouped together and or dusted for setting up tomorrow night.
sentiment on the left is an Inkadinkado Kid Quote and the one on the right is from Paper and such.

sentiment on the left is River City Rubber Works and the one on the right is My Favorite Things these are 4" notecards also.

3.19.2013

oh more of course

Had stamped a mess of sentiments on scraps the other day and some turned out too large to fit onto the 3" cards from yesterday so, today cut some 4" bases... these are 4"
the sentiment on the left is from SU the one on the right is from river city rubber works.

the one on the left is from river city rubber works and the sentiment on the right is from Penny Black

the one on the left is River city Rubber works and I *think* the kid sentiments are put out by inkadinkado.

As much as I use this sentiment I cannot remember who makes it.

now this trio is 3" squares. the Sentiment on the left is Impression Obsession, the one in the center is Gina K and the one on the right is Impression Obsession.

Monday's Batch

So today after work, instead of the usual... make a card or two and shoot them, then wrap them, then price tag them, then put them into where ever I have that theme going... I just piled them up and shot one mug shot... these are all 3" except the hill one.

The tray is not quite full, but if no more get made in the next two days its OK.
we will set up this booth at Hosanna Christian School thursday night after work and then the spring bazaar will be open 9-7 on friday and 9-5 on saturday.

I had traced along her with a clear gel pen ( stardust) but, it just was not bling-y enough so used a small paint brush to paint stickles onto the wings and the cake.

Just a whole card view.

the rest of Saturday's things

another LOTV image, ( had a happy mail day yesterday you can tell eh?) so, this one is colored with copic's ( surprise surpise) the sentiments from Stampendous. the printed paper is from pink paisley. the layer under the image panel is die cut with an floral oval. its a pain to get out of the die too. ( but not as bad as the ones with frilly corners like the adorning squares below or the resplendent rectangles...

This is A-6 in real life.

I think I bought this bella over a year ago. ( its been a while anyways) and ... this is the first time she has seen ink. with an Northwoods sentiment.

PSX bear colored with Copics and an SU and IO sentiments. the lace is real lace tape ( stampington & co.) the ribbon in the larger sentiment tag is from M's from Christmas a few years back the button is from the current ( on clearance) pack of buttons from SU.

This emerson was rak'd to me a long time ago... she's colored with copic's. the ribbon and papers are unknown. this ones A-6 in real life.

an Cornish heritage Farms norman rockwell image colored slightly with copics and an Stampendous sentiment. the pool party cardstock was embossed with an Sizzix folder ( thinking its one of the basic grey christmas ones from a few years ago) This one is also A-6 in real life.

with all the gift cards & tags I have done, not many of them are guy ones... so this was an attempt to add to that part of the mix.

Cornish Heritage farms thomas kinkade image stamped with versafine, colored slightly with copics the sentiments from SU. on a previously stained shipping tag.
