An Show-Stopping Hello

When i came across this Stamp in Whippersnappers new release section recently i thought ohhh ooohhh... yes, i have the PSX flamingo (grin) but, its about the size of this chicks legs... ( getting hard for me to color) and i looked at her and thought oh you don't have one of those "fun house's" ya know with pink flamingo's in the yard... whatcha gonna do with it if you did buy it... and i kept looking at it thinking if only you had some PINK feathers lol... so went with the glitter look as it really looks like "Vegas Show Girl" Chick to me and that makes me grin. (yep had happy mail deliver yesterday so keep an eye out for other ws mail ~ Soon ( i hope) ;)
This is A-6 and headed out for my current RAK welcome assignment. the Glitter is stickles stardust, I stamped the birdy on Neenah Solar White with memento tuxedo black and colored it with an combination of Copic and Bic Markers, then die cut it with curvy rectangles and added a bit of colorbox robins egg to the edges, the pink cardstock is SU Rose Romance, the Blue is Papertrey Ink's aqua mist, the black stripe pp is from Die Cuts with a View and the black mini brads are unknown. The Hello is stamped with Versafine ,it's one of those Hampton Arts dollar bin stamps, and up on Pop-Dots.

Digital Stamp ~ First try

haha i know what you are thinking... she finally found time to stamp. not quite, but close and that is kind of ironic coming from me if you've ever spent any time listening to me rant about the pitfalls of clear stamps or the total loss of foam stamps... this is something different. I printed this "stamped image" from my house hold HP inkjet printer on Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock and let it sit 24 hours before i colored it with prisma pencils. there is very little pigment melting or blending on this as i was not sure how much the printer ink could take it. so this is very simple, very flat... the entire time i was coloring this i was thinking "baby, can you dig your man?" but, i ended up not adding it to the front as its just one of those things if you have not read a lot of vintage Stephen King you may not "get it" . This is actually 5X7 in real life, the printed paper is from Karen Foster, the Photo corners are from Heidi Swapp, the mini brads are unknown. the textured cardstocks are from Bazzill. you can find this adorable image and all the others in the line by clicking the sunshines stamps button on the side of my blog. :) -------------->

some last weekend things

so a few weeks ago i found a huge grab bag with odds and ends and a whole bunch of these patriotic buttons in it, and i remembered i had one of these PIF images from Heavensent ( Thanks Collette) colored and while i was poking around in my colored images tin spotted this background and so this was actually a very fast card for me probably a 30 minute one. :) its 5X7 in real life. the ribbons are unknown the wide white satin came to me in my exchange gift box from Alison, ( thanks so much!) the girl is colored with pencils and cut with an nestiblities die, the real red cardstock is heat embossed with ranger seafoam white the su. soft swirls background. the blue cardstock is from Bazzill.
the day i went to work late and went to yard sales with Alice last friday found this yarn basket at one place for 4.00 and a mess of paper back books at another. ( my goodreads to read list is huge) figure i will get around to these books as it cools off and there is not so much to do outside.
an how it works shot. cool eh?
These i found at one last saturday when Tim and i were out and fun thing he actually found lures at the same sale. ( hasn't seen Lures in a loooong time at a yardsale) they are usually one of the first things to sell at them.
bought them because they were square ( which i have not seen before) and my hand goes in easily. gotta get dressed have today's sales ripped out of the paper and have just enough time for a cuppajoe first.

lettuce culprits exposed

funny thing last weekend we seen quail families and Tim said to me you know it amazes me we don't have quail at our house... lol.. yesterday when Alice and i returned from yard sales a family was crossing the drive way and the only camera i had was my cell and by the time i figured out how to use the camera they had hidden and flown over the fence.... note to self: learn the phone camera could have had some cool shots ... So the lettuce lovers were spotted having lunch in the garden today...
the dad in the asparagus
mom
these chicks are about 2 1/2 inches tall so they blend in really well and move really fast.
mom and some babies
streaking under the fence to escape to the grasses behind the neighbors house
This family has 6 babies :) now lets hope we planted enough lettuce for all of us.
Daisy went home this morning so that's a little sad. miss her smilin face already she is such a sweet heart but, Mancell's gonna bring her to work on monday am so we can see her for a bit and such.

not enough time in the day

another "new" older ramblin ted image from Penny Black with an Northwoods sentiment. Basic Grey PP, vintage lace, nestibilities label die.
this amazing card came to me as a thank-you from Razorbackfan, ( Thanks Christi) :) The other day J mentioned he was invited to becca's birthday tomorrow ( she will be 14) but, he has performance's and will not be able to attend and he "had-to" make her a card himself, and it had to be a card like i would make.... so he was totally thrilled to find out i had these whippersnapper images on hand and he colored its face in her favorite color (lime green) as he feels anything hanging like this should be on the verge of tossing its stomach contents... her favorite colors are yellow, lime green and black...
he is very impressed with this he very much wanted to make a card "just like you would do it mom" :)
and our peeps are peeps no longer, have them running around inside the coop now with the big chickens... ( cept the two meaner then dirt Rhode island reds) they are separated from the rest of the chickens now...
Tonight's the opening night of both of the plays J has parts in. and we still have Daisy (the lab puppy we are sitting) till tomorrow am. (tomorrow is gonna be a sad day) to see her get to go home, not sad totally because you know we will get to see her and she's going to a good home but I've become a little attached to the sweetie this whole time we've had her. went to yard sales this morning with Alice and found a neat yarn basket will shoot a photo some time. more later.

fairly recent cards

This is an wishrak image that came to me from photoholic (Thanks Shannah) its from serendipity stamps and colored with copic markers. (note to self: win the lotto you need more colors of these things) the ribbons unknown, the cardbase is bazzill.
This SU farm scene made me laugh a week ago i found this at a yard sale and then the day after that i was dragged into Farmtown on face book... talk about addicting i have hit level 16 in the first 6 days. today is the first day i didnt turn that on while i was drinking my coffee this morning.
This high hopes ant came to me via the pif threads from Anenome ( Thanks Kelly) its colored with copic markers, the papers are from my scrap bin so unknown. its 6 inches square in real life.
This is an "in Joke" this is the stamp J picked out to be his dad's fathers day card. when ever we go out to eat and Tim and I order iced tea to drink it always comes with lemons (and or we ask for them) not that i care for it in mine and so Tim and J always eat the lemons while we are waiting they go one at a time and watch each other make lemon lip faces...
this is 6X6 in real life. the printed papers from Basic Grey, Sentiments from SU.

recent yard sale finds

Found this one and the stamp below last weekend. must have the other photos in the other computer will have to check and maybe edit later. this was 2.00 haven't looked through any old books yet to know what its name is.
this one was a dollar at the same yards sale as above.
we went to Friday yard sales this week since we closed the shop for the employees to have the day off for Independence day and found both of these floor length ott lights with bulbs working for 30.00 each ( score )
also found on friday (at a sale not listed in the paper was just down the street from my house) all of these stamps and that embossing powder for 6.00 (and yes some of those are PSX whoo!) she had more (mostly hero arts ones that are to me too small to color)
Grace my foot warmer (which isn't as big of a thrill when its high 80s low 90's outside) hahathere were actually a few on 4th of July this year so we hit them too found this metal letter wall rack holder for 3.50 at one.
and this grab bag at another for 3.50 :) lots of cool stuff in this.
