Yesterday's Santa's
So, When i got to work Thursday morning June says to me you know i really need More of these cards, I keep thinking of people who "need" this... so, I says Ok i have a few images left on the table, let me do something with them and let you have more choices friday... so this one was done knowing she likes blue. ( Basic Grey printed papers) Vintage lace, Pearl brad is from American Crafts.
This one the gingham printed paper is from Adorn-it, Ginham ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon dot com, The creamy bazzill was run through an mistletoe kisses embossing folder and then color dusted with tea dye and old paper distress inks. the teeny brads are from recollections. the real santa panel is up on pop dots. This one i put the same elzybells sentiment on the inside.
Vintage Santa goes grunge. ( I think this particular Basic grey pp is a little more on the grungy side then the distressed side and its been in my stash for a long long time, (never thought i would use it paper) but, decided the colors were "Christmas-sy" even if a little bit too modernish. and June does not like polkadots... so she probably wont pick this one, but the Santa panel is up on pop dots and the Sentiment is on the inside. All of these are 6" square cards.

It's June's Fault
Vintage button, ink sprayed seambinding, the scrap of script Christmas words pp is unknown. Santa's stamped with distress ink and the sentiments stamped with versafine. the mat under the santa is GKD cranberry tart. this one's slightly under 6 inches in real life.
pp's are all basic grey, used an pearl brad to hang the tag on this one. 6" in real life.
I know i know, enough of the santa already. June bought two of the cards i hauled to work Wed. to show her and so, this gives me 4 of these guys for the booth left over.

More Santa's
So, Today at work i was informed that i "really, really" needed 3 or 4 or 5 more of these "Santa's" Just like the card below before the booth in November. So, since "just like the card below" is rather boring, kept the colors and layout similar and changed them up a bit. this one uses some old anna griffin pp scraps.
This one uses some Basic Grey double sided Fruitcake pp. and some Micheal's Christmas ribbon. Colored the glasses with an gold india ink pen.
This one uses same wassill basic grey pp with some different vintage lace and an vintage button.
another change on this one is the image was stamped with Versafine crimson red rather then the vintage sepia on some Neenah cream. the mat on this one is Gina K cranberry tart and the cardbase is bazzill. they are all 6" square in real life.

Santa Belief
Just for fun, stamped a few of this peddler's pack The Real Santa the other day for an friend and did this one for me to play with. The sentiment is from Elzybells (UK) but, i am not sure how long it will stay open. Its been in the process of closing and selling off the stamps for a some time now.
Nah, still not gonna make a million handmade Christmas cards this year. Life's too crazy busy. So, this mean's don't be offended if you get Hallmark from me. My personal thought on this is, most people don't care. (or they don't even realize sometimes when cards are done by hand, or of course there is my personal favorite slam... oh, i didn't realize you all were hurting for money that you had to make your own..) but, of course those people get store bought.
Love this Elzybell's sentiment. the Tim Holtz trinket pin has the number 32 engraved on it with the word tidbits. sounds like an advice worth following. (unless your Santa has good taste in undies)
Santa is done in versafine vintage sepia on speckletone oatmeal, this was trimmed with friskars mini pink shears deco scissors, then layered to the backside of the basic grey wassail pp. and trimmed with regular pinking shears, Its machine sewn along that faint brown border. the script pp mat is Penny Black, the tag {spellbinders die, inked with creamy brown} and trinket pin are up on pop dots. the lace is Vintage. this one's 6" square in real life.

some gift tags
very very thick (left over from valentines day years ago clearance bin find) die cut felt hearts. (these are so thick, I've had them in the closet a long time) used some liquid glue to adhere them to the white core cs that had been run through the bug. so far they are holding. the test will be if they are still holding come November when its time to do the booth again.
Have a gobs of this white core cs from ctmh to use up, so chopped up an 12X12 sheet and ran it through the Mistletoe Kisses embossing folder and it was way too flimsy to use as gift card bases so chopped it up and stitched the panels to some oatmeal cover sheet. the stitches are visible inside. ( figure it just ads to the "rustic" hand made character of these) and ended up being 16 of them. Stampin Up sentiment, hmm these brads came out of one of the cardkits i got as a gift from Gina K designs recently. So, bits and pieces of these were in a pile on the table for about an month now because, the doing multiples of something really is B O R I N G, but, all the packaged "matching" gift tag sets SOLD at the booth so, been thinking about that now that its getting closer. November 19th&20th at Hosanna Christian School's "Shepherds Market" crafts & antiques fundraiser for the school sale.
Decided that for the schools raffle bin to do a couple of packaged sets of gift tags as my booths donation. ( so eventually gotta come up with something else) so have one packaged set of 6 to give to the school, one packed set of 6 to sell. and 4 packaged singles.
done with scraps on the table, Ippity Authentic Man (tie row image) done with versafine on Oatmeal speckletone layered to a scrap of PTI spring moss, the ribbon's May Arts, the eyelet/grommet is from Dritz. {the two pieces did not line up right on this one, so it snagged the ribbon and made it a little distressed/ragged looking} sentiment's from Stampin'Up. about 5 inches long don't remember how wide.

Bend in the Road
so much shimmer, and texture. it all did not photograph well.
cool stamps eh? (Ippity Authentic Man set)
This is just an guy card for no reason. {well the reason being i didn't own any car stamps and the sentiment was just too perfect} so, had to get this set just for these stamps anyways... They are stamped with memento on Neenah, car's colored with copics and gelly roll stardust pen. the mini screw brads are from Karen foster. the brushed silver was diamond plate embossed, the stripe printed paper is My Minds Eye. the cardbase is bazzill. It's 5X7 in real life.

totally happy
I was so excited to find this new Ippity set in the mailbox today.. loved how it stamped... then i shot photos.. and realized the seam binding is sewn in a crooked line... oops.
The actual line of seam binding doesn't look that bad in person, but when you add the brown sewing thread its all i see anymore when i look at this card is "crooked"
stamps are from the new Ippity "totally happy" set, used versafine inks with them on oatmeal colored speckletone coversheet Used that SU paper punch along the top and added some Distress Antique linen ink along all the edges. the stripe pp is an scrap from 3bugsinarug. the cardbase is Gina K ocean mist. its 4.25 X 6" in real life.

This is 5X7 in real life, the stamps are from two different Gina K design's sets, the sentiments from "gifts from the sea & the frame is from Lovely labels. done with versafine inks on pure ivory gina k cardstock there is a bit of creamy brown along the edges of the ivory panel. the cardbase of this card is GKS moonlit fog cs. the double sided printed paper is from My Minds Eye "Lost & Found" line, the lace is vintage, there is some pop dots in between the stamped diecut and the pp die cut. this is lined inside with pure ivory too.

Watercan Peek
I love old watercan's, have a bunch of metal ones. all kinds of metal ones colors different metals, new ones. but the most favorite one is an old tin one that never seems to be in the display i wanted to have of them on the patio. ( between hub's and I during the summer they are never "put away" so, when i came across this Penny Black stamp "yearning" I had to have it... ( even paid retail for this one) {shakes head, I know I know} Its stamped with Memento and colored with Copic's. added the A Muse sentiment with some vintage sepia versafine below it.
The main panel is die cut with an spellbinders label ( minds blank on which number) added some versamagic aspen mist along the embossed edges of it. the tan textured strip (the button's on) is Gina K, the blue textured cs (run through an Euorpean "raindrops" cuttlebugfolder and the tan cardbase are bazzill. the stripe printed paper is from three bugs in a rug. the buttons from Basic Grey and has some scrappers floss through the holes. this ones 5X7 in real life. Of course, if i did come across an hedgehog peeking out of one of my can's i doubt if i would find it so cute...
