Virtual stamp night card
Crop view of the mice "Mistletoe Moment" ... an PIF image from LuvLee (thanks Lee!)
tonight there is an virtual stamp night challenge The Understudy at split coast... nahh i won't stay up all night playing in all of them but, did do the one that Lee is hosting real quick. Challenge was to create an card with 5 layers in 45 minutes or less. so, i did do that and how i did it is I started with an pre-colored image that I had colored ahead of time with prisma pencils. ( I keep a tin of colored images on my desk and that makes assembly time cut way down) this image funnily enough Lee had sent to me via the pif swaps... :) sentiment's from delta rubber stampede and stamped with versafine red satin ink. the burgundy mat is cranberry crisp. the textured green is bazzill. the pp is from Basic Grey Wassail Cranberry Sauce. the Ribbons from May Arts. there are pop-dots between the scallop mat layer and the ribbon.Cardbase is Neenah ivory linen cs. this is 5X7 in real life.
Paint yourself RED
pretty self explanatory eh? 5 1/2" square in real life.
this darlin Elmo stamp (stampabilities Elmo says hello) was an Wish Rak from Heavensent. Thanks so much Collette i really am going to have fun with him. this sentiment is from Inkadinkado. both are stamped with India Ink black on gp110. Elmo is colored with bic markers then shaded with prisma pencils. the sentiment has some prisma pencil over the top of the blue and color. there is some mustard seed distress ink on the edges. the ribbons from Offray. the red and orange are the newest su "in colors" (from the current book) the yellow mulberry pp is from one of those old mat stacks... tfl.
Pheasant hunting
Mug shots from this afternoon after the guys returned home from pheasant hunting. J is on his tippy toes in this one... J, Tim, Storm & Grace.
Grace is 10 months and a few days old in this shot... She is doing well never had another "seizure" we stopped her epilepsy pills months ago, she has all her own teeth in her mouth. and thinks she is "top dog"
Today J got his first "banded" birds... he's wearing the whistle with his bands and saying this over and over yeah dudes... and nodding his head real pleased with himself. this puts J at 7 birds so far this year including the 4 from the youth hunt at miller island and he's also had 2 ducks so far this season.
recent cards
Now this image i cannot remember who sent it to me or if i ever knew who makes it. (colored with pencils) sentiments from SU (probably one of last years freebie stamp sets as the rubber is purple) the gingham's from the scrap bin (unknown) but the scale is smaller then the ctmh stuff i bought in packages. the metal happy birthday tag is from MM. the red ribbon is May Arts this one is 5X7 in real life.
This house mouse (sugar and spice) is an PIF image from LuvLee Thanks Lee!) colored with prisma pencils. Ribbon is May Arts and the main image panel is up on pop dots. the pp is from the card kit that Kitty rak'ed to me from the {"Autumn Vine Designer"} from the SU mini Christmas flyer. cardstock colors are barely banana old olive and close to cocoa. This one is 5 X 7 in real life.
This bird image is one of the ones i borrowed from my mil last month? its from su but i don't know the set name. sentiments from A Muse. the dark green is Old Olive, the mat is a piece of textured bazzill (your looking at the smoother side) was run through an diamonds crimping tool the cardbase is an pre-made one. so this is A2 in real life.
Another a2 notecard. this birdy came to me via wish rak from Lexant (Thanks Cathy) the sentiments from A Muse. the cream cardstock scrap was run through an cuttlebug script folder then edges were torn. the mat under the bird is provocraft handmade paper.
I recently was lucky enough to be part of an UK sized elzybells group buy and i did buy this image (same design as the USA one) but, Much Larger (ie easier to color) :) and a couple others... I probably wont rebuy the other USA designs i have in these larger sizes but, I most definitely will get some of the other designs i like someday. the polka dot pp is from the scrap bin. (probably MME) the purple textured pp is unknown and the edge were trimmed with the su scallop border punch. the green cardbase is bazzill. the sentiments from the one dollar bin but, was cut apart (its a straight line in real life) so it could fit in the square. this one is 5 inches in real life. there is some gelly roll pen work on the water and the froggies crown.
This is from Kitty's card kit she sent to me Image is from the Happy Blessings set and the pp is from Autumn vine designer. this is 5X7 in real life. Ribbon is from the alpine ribbon originals set.
This image is also from that same Happy Blessing set. the mat is old olive. the really rust cardstock scrap has the paisley background on it with really rust ink. the orangeish gingham is May Arts. the mini brads are from doodlebug. sentiments from (thinking savvy stamps but could be stampendous ?) the cardbase is more mustard and this one is a2 in real life.
just a little something i did messing around with this stamp one day when i had it out to stamp a snag. the witch shoes is from stampendous. (colored with copic and bic markers) the sentiments are from Savvy stamps. bling brads are from Joann's. the black is bazzill. the red and pink are the newest su in color ones. (mind is blank on their names) this one is maybe 4 1/2 x 6 in real life.
I have received more happy mail in the last day too so will update the post below later after the sun comes up...
if you missed it there are still a few days to enter the vintage troll stamps blog candy (scroll down a few posts) yes, fortunately for me my post office ships anywhere so it does not matter to me where you live... go ahead and play if you like.

Got Trolls? {blog candy}
It's almost that time of the year again... you know that day when people say happy birthday at you all day long... Funny thing though, that day falls the day before Halloween {so when DH is being charming he tells people in a side voice- just missed being an official certified Witch by a few hours ;) }
I have so many Halloween memories tied to my birthday it isn't even funny, and as an adult i usually do wear an black floor length evening gown with an black had with feather trim fun stuff...
We don't get trick - or - treaters here at the house in the county so i have pretty much given it up now-a-days.
Anyways, last summer i came across this baggie filled with brand new Vintage Inkadinkado Troll stamps... and i thought that would be something funny to give away there were so many you see... so this blog candy was divided into three lots, first, second and third. there will also be some carnival colored fibers with each stamp lot.
To enter this give-away leave me a comment on this post.
Tell me what your favorite Halloween memory is. ( if your not into Halloween and want a chance to win tell me why you like trolls) Sometime late at night on my birthday i will have the guys pull some names. (nope i do this the hoouuman way, toss the entries into a baggie) If you want a second chance to win, post a comment with a link back to this post on your blog...
first prize has 4 wood mounted stamps with fibers.
Second prize has 3 wood mounted stamps and fibers.
note: these stamps were purchased second hand, and these items are coming from an smoke free Lab dog friendly studio. so if you are highly allergic you may not want to enter. I have not noticed any fumes coming off the stamps but, they are a little dusty. ( i put them in a basket and forgot to do this)
Winners will be posted sometime on Halloween morning before i leave for work. (keep in mind as the last day of the month i will be actually Working at work so may not answer mail immediately.)
