Home {in high definition}

Friday i had an ear appointment to have the sound processor adjusted. and ended up leaving with 3 new programs. one is a louder version of what i have had for the first two weeks, and the other two are more what the Dr. refers to as high definition sound... When we left the hospital we drove around Portland and its suburbs for a while. ( went to peddlerspack in Beaverton (nice store, nice people working in it) and scrapattack ( not worth bothering to go back to) and the craftwarehouse in that town. funny thing happened while we was driving around, i could recognize and hear part of one of the songs playing in the truck... the funny part to me is its an old johnny cash song. i was sitting there and all the sudden i could hear it clearly burn burn burn, and the flames went higher. maybe something like burn burn burn in the ring of fire? ( something like that) another thing i noticed was that his music had a lot of low tones pops and taps types noises, and it was recognizable to me as "music" I didn't think this would happen for a long time yet. Saturday on the way home we stopped in Salem at StampinCatsStudio? ( may have to look that one up) that is a nice small store too, everyone working in it was so friendly. Paperzone, ( which seems a little bigger then the Portland store), stopped by the craftwarehouse in that city and the sportsman's warehouse too. So, i have a nice little pile of new rubber to play with. and came home to find my elyzbells waiting for me too... now all i have to do is steal some time to play today inbetween laundry.

Yesterdays Valentines cards

that swirl you see is heat embossed colorbox fluid chalk ink ( lipstick red) on a transparency sheet ( hammermill inkjet kind) with detail clear embossing powder... the fourth technique challenge at the stamp shack is to do something different that you havent tried before with a transparency. I have up until this point only used stazon ink on mine but, i didnt have that in red ( only black brown and white) so, seeing as this worked for me i doubt i will buy any more colors of stazon because i hate the way it smells...
I thought it turned out pretty neat... the background ( wildhearts su) and the amour (also su from the mon ami set) are stamped with ruby red dye ink on very vanilla cardstock. the heart's up on a pop dot and matted with a scrap of river rock ( as is the cardbase it self) the Ribbons from May arts.
Now this one came together really fast, the sentiment ( Define your life SU) was a granted wish to me from Oregonstamper ( thanks Kitty!) and it was on the top of my pile of things to "put away" haha, i had printed out this SC160 sketch at splitcoast yesterday afternoon not knowing if i would ever get around to it and rather then cleaning i started making cards... :)
the printed paper is from Bo Bunny Press ( velvet paisley) and is double sided. the textured cardstocks are from Bazzill, the chipboard flowers are from Heidi Swapp. the pearls in the centers are from MM. the fiber is unknown, and the mini brads are from Lasting Impressions. so the whole things 5 x 7 in real life.
It's snowed here all day and (still snowing) supposed to do this for the next 4 or 5 days in a row... IE every time we have to drive out of town it does this i think... gotta remember when i get to the only need one visit a year point to make sure they can do it when the weathers nice.
Stay Warm this weekend!

Puppy Love

One of these sweet baby girls will be ours... :) ( we get to go pick next weekend as i have an ear appointment this weekend)
They came a little early as there were more then the ultra sound said there would be. only one of the black ones is a female, then all four of the yellow ones are females and the other blacks are males.
New Mama. ( gives you a nice perspective on how tiny they are eh?)
okay so here's a round of PINK cigars... ( don't smoke them indoors! )

The Puppies were born!

We've been on a waiting list for a female (black) lab puppy since we got Storm last spring. So today we were told by the breeders that the batch of puppies born there is only one black one, but 4 yellow ones in the litter, and one person who was ahead of us on the list is holding out for a black one, so we get third pick of the yellow females. So, this is exciting. I have an ear appointment this coming friday so, we cant go to CA to meet the puppies till the weekend after, but we've never seen them this small before either, so I'm for sure going to take a camera. ( Oh, it will be months before we can bring her home, but its cool to think we all get to meet her before that) :) oh yeah on the hearing front Ive decided one of my favorite sounds is Laughter. I instantly know what that is as soon as i hear it, even on t.v shows that may be playing that I'm not watching. so that is interesting to me that some sounds i am knowing what they are without looking...

Wine a Little... You'll Feel Better! ;)

Hee hee... We actually have a pot holder in the kitchen with that sentiment on it... We give a lot of wine bottles as Gifts, so this was done with some of the scraps from the first card in this post...
I did this without any wine bottles in the hobby room so, it turned out a little BIG but, will still work i think tied to a bottle. the Cheers ( SU fancy flexible phrases is stamped with Palette Noir black on shimmery white cardstock, the printed paper is sewn to some Bazzill green scraps, the bottle of white and the grape vine trim are die cut stickers that match the printed paper. (Its double sided and shimmery) think the mfg is Reminisce ( but that could very well be spelled wrong) ribbons are offray and brads and eyelet are unknown.
This one was also done with scraps. normally when i dangle a tag from a ribbon knot i pop dot it into place "just so" but, this one is a free dangling card. the sentiment is a diecut sticker. the cardstocks are bazzill. its 4X6 in real life.
This is what i cut the paper up for... Its for DH's b-day next month ( maybe ) I may come up with something like better and i have a month to think about it. the sentiment is a sticker and it had rounded corners but much smaller then my punch so i ended up punching the sticker too so all the layers would work. the ( think its Inkadinkado) wine Sketch image is stamped with palette noir on shimmery white and colored with SU markers. There's some every popular tea dye distress ink on the edges too...
this ones 5X7 in real life.

Played in the snow all afternoon...

So, I fully intended to start on my Valentines today since i took the day off... But i had this stamp set ( which i have never played with before) on the edge of my table. So i started out with a sheet of Su Glossy white cardstock ( that i cut into quarters) This was the first attempt. I stamped the large snowflake with Ranger clear resist ink on the white glossy then heat set it and rubbed some color box fluid chalk ink ( Ice blue) and some Versamagic aspen mist dew drop ink over the top of it. ( the dew drops chalk ink does not seem to stain or settle very well on the glossy it rubs almost completely off) this was very subtle looking and not quite what i was looking for but, i do love the colors of this. so then i stamped the snowflake again over the top of it all with a chalk ink in Prussian Blue. The Hero Arts Delight word border was stamped with versamark then heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White powder. The mat on this is blue bayou and the pale blue is Soft Sky. the photo corners i ( think could be heidi swapp) and the little pearls are from MM. this is an a-2 sized card.
This was the second try and on this one, i had some of that Prussian blue ink left on the stamp and just started randomly stamping the glossy with it. so these are 2nd, third, fourth generation images and so on and so on. The mat on it is Not Quite Navy, the Soft Sky cardstock has the Fine Lace background stamped on it with Not Quite Navy ink and the mat of that is Blue Bayou. the brads are unknown, the Stampendous Enjoy is stamped with versamark on blue bayou and heat embossed with seafoam white powder then punched with an Martha Stewart tag punch. the silver thread is the old style ( unravels) from SU and the blue satin ribbon was an ebay seller rak. the White columns card base is from Neenah. Its 6 inches Square in real life.
Since the first attempt the background snowflakes did not pop the way i had thought they would this time i tried stamping them in versamark then heat embossing them in the seafoam white. so when i got to the rub some chalk ink on the glossy part those white snowflakes turned pale blue and aqua. ( still not quite what I was hoping for) I then over stamped the snowflakes in Prussian Blue and heat set it all, the mat is Blue Bayou and trimmed with mini pinking deco scissors, the card base is Soft Sky and the ribbon is unknown, the Sparkle crystals are from Heidi Swapp. this one is also a-2 in size. The sentiment of this one is from SU also and done in Palette Noir Black.
ah ha i figured that resist pad out, you gotta go dark and bold...
this was the last quarter and instead of using the chalk ink pads i switched over to dye pads. the Vibrant blue is Nick Bantock Cerulean Azure and the second color is Not Quite Navy. The mat is Shimmery White and the sentiment is stamped on a large su oval punchie of that with Not Quite Navy also. ( which ended up being too pale when it dried) I added some clear stickles glitter glue to the snowflakes and then the Black for Drama. the Black ribbon is from May Arts, the Pearl mini brads are from Lasting Impressions and the Black linen cardbase is from Neenah. the tealish blue mat is (really flimsy stuff) that came in a huge pack from Costco a long time ago. ( its only good for mats) This one is 5X7 in real life. tfl.

A couple of Quickies...

Did this one today for Tim's Dad whose b-day is next week, the insides stamped with " hope this is your best 29th birthday yet!" from Impress, the whole time I've known him he tells anyone who asked he's 28... ( he retired last year haha) This one is A-2 in size, the Pheasants ( SU ) and the Feather are from an old set called Pheasant Thoughts of you from 2000. they are stamped with Memories Artprint brown on a scrap of ( i don't know cardstock) then the Happy Birthday is stamped in Memories Sepia ( this is from Rubber soul but i punched out the center of the image with an 7/8 circle) to take off the scallop boarder. then layered it to a piece of brushed gold cardstock. and put it on a pop dot. the Handmade paper mat is from Provo Craft and the Card Base is River Rock ( this is surely gonna be a favorite for a while i guess so i better get more cardstock ) It irritates me to no end they are not coming out with the in colors in markers ( i hate those big pads) then the other day it occurred to me i could just use cut and dry foam and make my own pads if i buy the re-inkers... ( now why this didn't occur to me last year I'll never know) This was just a messing around thing, and thought oh it looks kinda springy when i was done with the branches ( SU Artfully Asian stamped in Memories Sepia & versafine Vintage Sepia) this is done on Pretty In Pink cardstock then Colored with Markers and there's some white gel pen for lighting. So then i added the sentiment from ( fancy flexible phrases SU) as kind of an after thought, its punched with a yellow size marvy scalloped rectangle. the Ribbons are from Offray. The Mat is Cranberry Crisp, and the green textured card base is pre-made from DiecutswithaView. this ones also A-2 in size.
Now this is exciting news! Tim has passed his contractors licence test (yesterday) and i did a little shopping while he did it, these are dollar stamps from Michael's. ( they don't do this test where we live and i went to M's thinking I'd find cute stuff for Valentines day, but they've sold it all already and now are on Easter already.) About the test. ( this is a relief and a GOOD THING!) he's been studying for this for over 3 months now and the last month has been tense as we both wanted it done and over with.

Stamp Shack's Color Combo 4 ( December )

These were done early in December and they were posted at the Shack the day i got home from the Hospital from the implant surgery so, I just decided to check and see if i had ever posted them here ( nope ) Color Combo is Blue, Green, Brown with White as the neutral.

the main Butterfly in this one is from Stampington & Co. there is some stickles glittler glue added to it in two shades of blue. this is 6 inches square in real life. cut the mat with an Sizzix black die, then the mat of that was free hand cut with scissors. The background printed paper on this one is from the blush line of Basic Grey and the green lace is that ( stuff for hemming) you can get on a cardboard in the notions dept.) but this is some vintage stuff i found at one of those yard sales last summer.

This is an Inkadinkado Snowman and the brown on this one is a dark dusty almost copper shade of brown. The sentiments from Hero Arts. Used that cool SU ticket corner punch. ( probably use that too much or i see it too much online but, some times thats just oh well) I dont remember who makes the brads, the pp is (think) could be My Minds Eye, i still have a little bit of that big pack they had of it at Costco last year and thats what this looks like to me.
These mini gift tags the brown is a rusty shade i know it looks orange in the photo but, such is life. The Butterfly is stamped twice and the top image is only attached in the butterflies body so the wings are 3-d. So this was the least participated upon challenge, all month between when it was uploaded until the January one was posted only one person had tried it. then after i posted the January one i thought oh wow they are too similar and no one will try this either. ( I was wrong, to see some cool cards check out the color combo gallery this month in the stamp shack there has been some really great samples posted.)

Color Challenge Combo 5 (Stamp Shack)

This is a sampling of the colors used for this challenge. I just thought to my self what color do you never use. ( which is peach) ( I'm not really big on blue either) so it was interesting to me to find they looked nice together. then i found the Cosmo cricket paper in my stash with the brown and that cinched the deal.
These are the sample cards i made up for the stamp shack's color combo challenge 5. I didnt post them where when posted them in the shack as, My mom peeks at this blog... ( and her b-day was last week)
The Wreath Stamp is PSX K-1882 from 1996 and is stamped in Memories Chestnut ink on the robins nest watercolor hammered pp. The Just because is from Savvy Stamps, It was punched with an yellow marvy scallop rectangle, then i cut the rectangles off and mounted it with a brown bazzill scrap. there is some pale blue stickles where the berries ( hips?) would be on the wreath. The ribbon is from May arts and the mini brads are from lasting impressions, this card is 6 inches square in real life.
This card I have sent out for my Mom's birthday she loves Poppies, ( and she should have gotten it by now) the image is from Stampendous and stamped 3 times along the bottom of a scrap of the blue pp from the card above. The sentiment is from SU and has some creamy brown fluid chalk ink on the edges. The ribbon i think is from Wal-mart? the centers of the poppies have a bit of diamond glaze in the centers. This one is also 6 inches square.
Something way our of my comfort zone, i received this owl stamp (for free from an lss) and the peach pp is the backside of the Cosmo cricket from the cards above. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. both are stamped with the memories Chestnut dye ink. the sheer organdy ribbon is from Offray and the ruffled is from May Arts. there is a bit of stickles and liquid pearls on the owl. ( I drew the tree branch trunk with the brush end of an tombo marker) this ones about 5 something by 6 in real life.
I have some other cards i have made this week and not posted and will put them in as their own post.

Christmas Cards

So, I joined a make 10 holiday cards a month challenge at split coast last month. ( it goes on this year ) and you post them and link them to the thread when you have your 10 cards done... So, today i stamped this stocking for someones wish and then made some extras for me to play with. ( this is one of the stamps Tim and J got me for Christmas) Its from su (1999) and the name on the box says Christmas Stocking. It pretty much fills an quarter sheet of cardstock so its good size in real life.
This card is 6 inches square the card base is Neenah Linen texture, the Stocking is stamped with Versamark on shimmery white cardstock then heat embossed with Ranger detail gold powder. I layered it to a scrap of the shimmery green i bought at paperzone in Portland then trimmed that with mini pinking shear deco scissors. ( its up on pop dots) the red texture cardstock is from Bazzill, and the paisley pp is from Daisy D's. the gold ribbon is from one of those QVC anna griffin scrapbooker multi mega pack kit things ( from my gotta buy everything scrapbooking phase a few years back) at any rate the colors just about the same as the powder after it melts...
the Merry Christmas is stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink, then punched with a Blue sized scalloped marvy rectangle punchie, then i used a piece of the gold ( elastic cord ) from the last SU Christmas mini book to tie it on the ribbon.
there's some machine thread in brown on this too.
so far i can tell you one noise i really DO NOT LIKE TO HEAR and that is the sound of the electric type writer in the office. we don't use it much, in fact i never use it, but the summary for the 1099's did not want to line up in the printer, so, we had June type it... ( yucky noise, can't wait for it to die... think you cant buy typewriter's anymore either) cross your fingers haha.

Little Thank-You from today

Hi, this gratitude sentiment came to me via Wish Rak from MommaPatti, ( Thanks so much! )The Stampendous agapanthus cluster is stamped with perfect plum and mellow moss markers on Papertrey white cardstock, the centers of the open petals are colored with the pale plum. the Thank-you is stamped with mellow moss. the green textured cardstock are from Bazzill and the pale plum cardstock was run through a cuttlebug folder. the doodlebug brads are antique brass color and the ribbons from May Arts. this ones an odd size 5 inches by 5 1/2 inches in real life. I'm intending to send this to the surgeon that did my implant last month. ( think its too girly looking? would you send it to a man?
Tim says chances are his secretary will get to be the one to open it in the mail and enjoy it anyways... :)

adventures in grocery shopping

sounds more fun then it was I'm sure, but I am also getting quite a lot of the what else did you hear today emails too, so here ya go: yesterday i went to fred meyers (by my self) and i would be in some isle then i would hear a man's voice talking all the sudden. now i can recognize its a person talking noise, but not identify the words yet. so, i would turn around and look and find i was the only person in the isle, and i though wow you must be picking up people from an isle over or something. finally found everything on the list and got lucky enough to find my favorite teller was working, so i told her you know, when your deaf a lot of people seem to sneak up on you know? so, I'm sure there are lots of times when I've been asked to move my cart out of the way by people wanting to go past me in the store where i just you know people talking to the back of a deaf person do not get acknowledged so, i was really excited to think i may hear something like that. and i asked her if the store had a you know something like a "attention Kmart shoppers the blue light special is in isle 49 or something" ( my grandma worked at k-mart for many many years before she retired, and this is just one of those off the wall things i remember about that) :) anyways she said, no that the store didn't do things like that, then she thought about it some more and she said there is an intercom inside there, but it says thing like clean up on isle 10 customer service to the loading dock and things like that. so, anyways. the thing I'm noticing this weekend is its easier to pick out individual noises and try to identify them when its quiet and I'm alone. my family is noisy. haha. and they always always have noisy things ON. the TV is ON if one of them is home. Tim says by the way the reason the blinker on the turn signal sounds twice as fast as the blink is you hear a noise for the green color to appear and you also hear a noise when it goes away... to me it is the same click tick type sound though, i can not tell which noise is for which motion. also, if I'm stopped say in a center divider and i can hear it ticking, if another car passes me from the oncoming traffic while i wait, as that car goes by all i hear is the swish sound of that, it drowns out the ticking noise. if I'm moving and going to make a turn without stopping. i don't hear the ticking noise at all, the tires on the pavement drown it out. people keep asking how i am dealing with the noise here and there and different things. but, this is what i have is not a hearing aid, it does not produce any noise, its a sound processor that transfers what i am allowing it to hear to my brain. the level of noise i hear was set by a computer in the audiologists office. so, i have a low program ( lets in very little noise) a medium, lets in a little more, then a loudest version. then i have a volume control so in each program i can make it louder or quieter. I find i am running on the medium settings or the loud settings most of all. so probably when we go back i will be getting More. i have all the sounds that anyone else hears but, for me they are a jumble of noise. i can pick out people really well from the background noise. and music is not coming through yet, a couple of times i thought i could hear a rhythm but, not actual music the way you think of it. So that's about it for this morning. more later, gotta make some time to play been way too busy cleaning this weekend. :)

Driving

So, yesterday was day 4 and i drove my self to work. so, after i dropped J off at school the inside of the truck got noticeably quieter. haha. ( he is never silent) and i was stopped at this sign watching a snow plow go by and i heard this ticking noise and i started looking and thinking and i figured out it was the turn signal. ( it ticks faster then the light blinks though) ( which when i started telling this story to Tim last night he had a really technical reason why, which went right over my head. :) ) Another thing i have noticed is the water, when you run water in the sink at work . ( a small pottery bath type sink ) it is not nearly as loud as when you run it in your kitchen sink, (mine happens to be stainless steel) oh my gosh and the toilet flushing drowns out any other noise while that is going on. haha. This morning I washed some dishes in the sink with my ear on and could not believe how noisy that was. kind of interesting, so it took a LONG time to do it, more then normal anyways. Gonna go grant some wishes and color some that have come to me. More later,

Last Sunday's Cards

these first three cards were done with elyzbells images ( a winters song) that were wishes granted to me. I colored them and the garden snowmen images a while back and just got around to making them into cards last sunday. the sentiment is from Amuse, and punched with the word window punch, then layered to a scrap of chocolate chip cs, the image is punched with a mega circle then layered to an giga circle punch of scrap textured pp, the snowflake pp, is from the Basic Grey line figgy pudding in the 6X6 pad size. the edges of the soft sky mat were cut with mini scallop deco scissors. ( I am totally scalloped scissor challenged) The ribbon and ric-rac are unknown ( RAKs from an eBay seller) this card is 4X6 in real life.
On this one she's punched with a blue size plain circle punch then the mat (basic grey polkadots) is with the mega scallop punch, shes colored with prisma pencils and theres a bit of diamond stickles i smeared it with my finger where the snow is at her feet. the Filigree Background is heat embossed with Pink Crystal stamp n stuff powder ( its very sparkly in real life) The just a note is stamped with palette noir on a scrap of pink basic grey pp ( these are from the blush line in the 6X6 pad size) and punched with an blue size scallop rectangle.the pink textured cardstock is from Bazzill and the ribbon is may arts. this ones an odd size 5 inches by 6 inches on the mellow moss card base. tfl.
this version was done in greens. the background pp is from diecutswith a view, the mello moss cardstock is stamped with palette noir for the A muse sentiment. the ribbon i *think* could be basic grey but, not positive on that one, Shes colored with Prisma Pencils and this one is small like 4 1/4Inches square.
this is for the lady who answers my phone at work, she's big time into snow and snowflakes and such. ( her b-day's in a week ) this card is 5X7 in real life, the birthday tag is stamped with colorbox fluid chalk ink in Ice Blue I punched it with the large su tag punch then trimmed the edges with an friskars mini pinking deco scissors. the chocolate chip cardstock is the size of the large su tag punch. The snowmen are stamped on Georgia pacific 110 and colored with prisma pencils. the ribbon is from American Crafts. the blue textured printed paper is a scrap of from the robins nest cloud blue watercolor hammered. the tag is up on pop dots. tfl

When its not one thing...

its a half a dozen others. on the last post i did i had just finished eating dinner before i typed it. and then when went to get ready for bed i found my body was busy making red spots... I looked like i had chicken pox or measles or something... then they started to swell and my face and tongue swelled so, i was awake from 5 am tuesday till last night when we went to bed at home. the best guess the dr.'s in Portland have is that eating shellfish ( shrimp ) while taking antibiotics caused a food allergy reaction. still covered with the spots. but, my tongue is not so bad and the soonest i can see my regular person here is next tuesday am. ack. I'm trying really really hard not to scratch my skin bloody. the best way to put how i am hearing is like hearing your radio on but, its not quite on the channel all the way so it mostly sounds like gibberish. I can tell someone is talking but, its not instant for me there is a slight delay from when they say it to when i hear it so its like an echo effect. and Ive tried watching the tv with the cc on and did you know the words are not real time either, so you cant watch the face and the words at the same time listening they don't match. you guys probably already know that though. haha have a good day, I'm letting dh take me to work today we have about 12 inches of snow in our driveway last night when we pulled into it.

All Hooked Up

Trying to get the words under this photo on the lap top took a considerable amount of time, this post is coming to you all from the hotel :) got hooked up this afternoon, only have 4 tones so far. so a lot of things tend to sound the same, voices, the tv. I can hear them but, i cant really tell what they are saying yet, there is not enough choices in the noise that i hear. tomorrow i get 3 programs in the morning and then two weeks to play with them before it gets changed again. its utterly amazing how quiet it is when you knock it off your head too. (yep done that already more then once) there's not quite enough room behind my ear for the processor and my glasses at the same time, some day the two of them will push my ear out more and share better but, not today. I heard Tim's truck start, and that sounded normal, we had the tv on a political baloney channel before dinner and could hear clapping noises the right way. knew instantly what it was, the hard this is all the high pitch tones, its been almost 25 years since I've heard those tones so they sound really strange. when she first turned it on i was like i cant believe i am really hearing this, (noise) you know i had so many people telling me not to expect much at the beginning, so just hearing the silver wear rattle at dinner was an amazing thing. i did do some new cards the other day on sunday afternoon but, so far they are only uploaded to my split coast galley. I activated the free trial of office (photo manager hides in tools of that by the way) but, it does not let you edit your photos from it. so looks like office (vista compatible) just hit the top of my shopping list for on the way home. anyways, just wanted to send out a quick up date.

long time no posts...

This super cute card came to me from Sandy I've had it and the cards below for some time now and just got around to photographing them all yesterday.
This one was an Christmas RAK from kitty at scs.
This one is another SCS RAK card from Linda ( Studbo )
These came to me from Meg, Nancy and Deb ( Ladies we have been swapping atc together for a few years now)
These cards came to me from Ladies at the Stamp Shack. ( In case your wondering i only took pictures of the hand made cards) :)
These cards came to me from Ladies at two peas ( stampers )
These cards came to me from ladies at the sunroom scrappers library.
This cute stamp was in my stocking, so its just on cheap white cardstock with olive ranger archival ink with some red stickles on the heart. there is some clear stickles on the red cardstock scallops and they are about 3 inches square. ( going to have a head start on Christmas next year haha)
This was the first card made from scraps of the cards below. there are some challenges at peas ( a week ago?) that were to use things you hoard, and to make Christmas Thank-you cards. ( these cards have been done for a week but, no they still have not been mailed)
This one i may set aside as an "Christmas Card" for next year. its 5X7. the Joy is stamped on curious iridescent cryogen white cover stock with versafine satin red then heat embossed with clear detail powder. the ribbons from May Arts, the PP is from SEI Holly Lane Sugarplums. it has a bit of gold bling on it. I tend to hoard shimmery papers and cardstocks.
These were the first 3 thank-you's i had done, i ended up liking the fourth card best and ended up with 7 like that.
the pale green shimmery cardstock is ( i don't remember) haha but, the same store that sells the cryogen white sells it. ( so does paperzone in Portland) The Thank-you (SU) is stamped on an mini die cut from an red sizzix die with 12 little tags on it. ( I have never used that either) the red ribbon is offray and the gold thread is SU.
the green cardbase is bazzill cardstock.
Okay so since the last time I posted, i started getting really itchy, then on monday am ( New Years eve) i woke up to my ear being swollen like a balloon, the ear dr.'s here are on Vacation (or in surgery all day) and the surgeon in Portland was also on vacation. so i went to a walk-in clinic and that diagnosis was a) I'm either allergic to the antibiotic ointment, or b) may be infected) or c) both. this was not too productive, but i left with an prescription for antibiotics and by the third dose my ear was looking like an ear again. its still tender at the very top of it and not as itchy. I think its growing all new skin. the only part that still a little sore and tender is the part where your glasses would sit on the top of the ear. I haven't been wearing mine much, but i may have started too soon with them. who knows. Two more days... we go back to Portland for the hook up on tuesday the 8th. :)
