Hello Doily

Took some time today to mount a couple of my Christmas gift stamps and then played with this one a bit... SU hello doily.
on both cards it's stamped with colorbox fluid chalk ink ( creamy brown ) on some really old K & Co collage pp. then heat embossed with clear detail powder.
Sentiments from Stampendous, stamped on some of the linen dcwv pp that was also run through the sizzix folder. all of these papers on this card were inked with old paper distress ink. there is a layer of popdots between the su and the fancy tags die. The whole time I was making this card I intended to squeeze in some heels towards the bottom of the collage and then I started playing with the pearls and ran out of room.
that center bling is just a very large glue dot with recollections gold pearls on it.
It's 6" square in real life, the lace is vintage.
the ribbon is from May Arts.
the polka dot pp layer is also K & Co.
This ones A-6 with an Gina K kraft base and the sentiments from Savvy stamps, the buttons vintage and the gingham ribbon's unknown. (probably may arts though) this one has both creamy brown and old paper inks on the edges.

Fireflies note

As I was coloring this was thinking oh moonlit daisy field... but, I think I should have gotten the sky a tad darker for that. this is A-6 in real life, Image is from (leibetty Thanks Leigh Anne!!) {Impression Obsession stamp colored with copic's} Sentiments from Gina K Designs.

Here Fishy Fishy

This guy is from river city rubber works... I've had him for years and years so, this is the first time I've colored him. ( he's usually just brown line art on things from me) He was stamped with vintage sepia versafine on classic cream and colored with copic's
fish has the following colors: B000,YG00,YG91,93, E31, BG90, RV00
This is on an size 8 shipping tag that was distressed a while back, took an always artichoke marker to the yellow re-inforcer to blend it better with this image. That blue ribbon is from martha stewart and the chocolate hemp string is from walmart. the green staples came from walmart also. Sentiments from gina k designs, the burlap is a piece from a wider ribbon. frayed it a bit.
Another one of those never tried to color it images, this ones and PSX co-ho salmon. stamped in olympia green versafine colored with the following copic's :
BG0000,90
B000
RV00
YG00
YG91, 93
C2
some stardust and copper colored jellyrollpens. ( this is only visible when you tilt it) using those new light box lights I am not seeing bling no matter how i tilt something. the distress ink colors on this one are antique linen and tumbled glass. this ones 5X7 in real life. usually i build the layers for the card front with cardstock but this one I stitched that burlap ribbon direct to the paper adventures paper ( thin stuff) so the atg gun really wrinkled it when I was applying that to the back so... almost thought you should wrinkle all the edges to blend it and then just thought. ha, its probably gonna be a guy card. ( and hubs opinion is for most guys you could just stamp guy card on the front and call it good and they would be ok with that) (I'm rolling my eyes)
so, this ones 5X7 in real life.

Some other things from last week.

There is someone in this town that has one of these cars and its actually a turquoise one, but its rusty not restored, and as I was coloring this ( copic's) I knew it as soon as I got the bottom of the front car blue that it was supposed to be chrome there, then funny thing... seen the real life car and it IS supposed to be chrome pretty much the whole front bottom of the car. oh well, I still think its pretty so with that in mind it became a Chick birthday card. this is 6" sq. in real life,
Clear Dollar Stamps car with Gina K designs Sentiment.

Worth It Poppies

Janice rak'd me these just for fun poppies a while back (thanks so much!) and I colored them with the following copic's
R000,00,39,56
YG0000,00
G29
and cut them out with scissors.
There is a current challenge at the really reasonable ribbon blog for using ribbon, pink and brown. but i think i got a little too much green going on with this to enter that.
This sentiment's from the Paper and Such and it came with a teeny butterfly on the end of it, and since these are clear stamps I cut it apart and use the butterfly as it's own stamp... This was done with some raisin ink on blushing bride cs and die cut with an spellbinders tag die, the brown almost handmade feeling tag its sewn to came like that and I no longer remember who makes it or how i got it. the metal pin is from Tim Holtz. the ribbon layers are offray I think, the kraft frame is an sizzix die. the stripe pp is from eksuccess and the green gingham is unknown. this ones A-6 in real life.

QFTD99 For JenMarie *Ü*

There is some kind of a challenge at split coast stampers I *think* every day of the week, one of the one's I have not really paid much attention to is called Queen for the day, and this is announced on friday's. so, last friday the announcement came that this weeks Queen is Jennifer Taylor aka JenMarie. these cards are not CASE'd from specific cards in Jen's gallery more like inspired by... she uses Kraft cardstock really well with POPs of color, lots of paper pieced things in fun colors, little birdy's are a frequent sight to see in Jen's gallery with coffee themes here and there and so, I knew I wanted to paper piece a bird on kraft some how and it had to be CUTE...
so, this Spellbinders nested bird was die cut from the websters pages dot pp, then while it was still in the die colordusted some broken china distress onto it to give it that pop of blue color framed. the butterflies were not scaled just right to fit an A-2 card so, they are a bit off the edges, cut with scissors and bent up a bit.
The sentiment on the card on the left is from the Ippity set wine with friends, and the sentiment on the right is from the Unity set called hodgepodge of happiness. the branch is an die cut with the Memory Box woodland branch die, the gingham ribbon's unknown. the pink pearls on the butterflies are from Kaiserkraft and the bigger blue one for the birds eye is from recollections. the Kraft bases are from Papertrey ink.
So, after I had those done, I had these stamps on the table that needed cleaned, and the sentiment on the left is also from the wine with friends set, the base was embossed with an folder from Darice ( it leaves that flat space to stamp in the middle) the blue swirly stamp is from SU, the butterfly is cut out of the MME pp. the silver pearls are from kaiserkraft the gold ones are from recollections. the seam binding is metal grey and that lace is either May Arts or SU (not sure anymore) the sentiment on the right is over stamped on a scrap of PTI kraft and cut out with an spellbinders label as the first time I did it it was just a bit too crooked for me so this hides that.
These are all A-2 in real life.

Swan Wings

Kraftin' Kimmie Swan Princess colored with the following copic's
Skin: E11,E00,E000,R20
eyeshadow: B0000
Eyes:BG93
Wings: W1,2,3
Lower skirt: YR21,YR23,YR24
Upperskirt: E84,Y28,E81
Crown was done with an gold spica pen ( with this added here and there to the skirt also)
sentiments from Cats Life Press, stamped with Memento cocoa on an Avery tag, the lace is vintage, the gold clip is from MM, the burlap string is from May Arts, the gold texture mat is provocraft, the light gold flower embossed paper came like that in a variety pack from big lots years ago ( it had no mfg info) this is 6" square in real life.

2.11.2012

VSN Mini

This one was done for Heather's colors of Tulips challenge you needed the flower on your card and the bright green with your tulip colors... so this one is 5 1/2" square in real life, the penny black duck image was gifted to me years ago and colored with prisma pencils at that time. I don't remember its name or who sent it anymore. (and I'm going to make a huge dent in the images tin doing VSN samples I hope, because I've already tossed the really badly colored ones recently and that was a cool thing in the end like a weight lifted.) That red dotted pp is from pebbles the yellow and bright green are unknown, I *think* that sentiments from justrite on a memorybox tag die. the pearls are kaiserkraft.
if you normally read this blog you know I've made quite a few daisy cards recently and this paper was picked up with that in mind and then came along Tracy's poppin posy's challenge and
I decided these petals looked round enough {easy enough} to cut out and pop up into the design.
:) so this is 4 1/2 X6" in real life, This base is PTI vellum cardstock and I lined all the sides with Neenah solar. the herringbone pattern is the back side of the pp. The sheer polkadot ribbon wraps through the inside. I did add a craft button and some string to the bottom largest flower and the sentiments from A Muse. This photo is also looking a little fuzzy to me so may re-shoot this one in better daylight.
These flowers were made with white satin ribbon Alison rak'd to me in an exchange box years ago and then the largest center one has some silver sheer twisted up with it. I have never made my own 3-d flowers before so this was cool and I think I will be doing some more of it soon. the one on the bottom left was first I just twisted the ribbon in the air and wound it around it self and then added lots and lots of glue dots to the backs and stuck a tiny strip scrap of paper to that to anchor it all. then the first one is not quite as tight and started to unravel after it was on the card so it has a few more tiny glue dots tucked into it through the wrapped rolls.
This was done for Barbara's 3-d flowers challenge where you have to make your own flowers on the card. I used this penny black kitty that was rak'd to me years ago and colored at that time with prisma pencils for the main image. there is also a tiny amount of diamond glaze painted onto the hearts of his tie for texture. this was die cut with an spellbinders die. That heart printed paper /red dots is double sided from pebbles ( used a scrap of it on the ducky card above) the kraft is from Paper trey ink. This one's blank sentiment wise. and is 5 1/2" square in real life.
This outlines stamp is one that I got as a prize for winning their blog challenge recently and this was done for Kelly's use flourishes on your card challenge, I decided the swooshing air around the hats was almost flourished and then ran the silver shimmer cover sheet through an emily's bouquet cuttlebug folder because it's flourished on the edges but it really faded behind this image so, then I ran one of the scraps through the sizzix elegant flourishes die and tucked them mostly behind. that main image panel is up on pop dots. this ones stamped with memento on neenah & colored with copic's and gelly roll glaze pen. the white stitched with silver paper I think is provocraft the silver and navy is unknown. It's 5X7 in real life.
This was done for Kelly's what came first challenge {chicken or the egg} (use an egg or chicken image on the card) and although I think chickens came first, I chose this northwoods egg basket because, it does not see ink very often. I stamped this with versafine on some neenah ( its speckle toned forgot its name again) and then colored it slightly with su chalks. the lace is vintage, the sentiments from the dollar bin. those are spellbinders dies. the mini brads are from lasting impressions. that printed paper is from basic grey. this ones 6" square in real life.
remember if you want to play along with these you have all weekend to do so and get them uploaded into the gallery at splitcoast by monday afternoon ( if your in PST)

Hummingbird express

So... just messing around with copic markers more and more Ive decided that hummingbirds must be the hardest to color thing I have found so far... Stampa Rosa Hummingbird Express Image colored with the following copic markers:
Mouse Skin: E00,21, R20
Mouse fur: E43, W2,5,6, C1,3
Bird: tiny amount of B79 near the eye which turned out to be WAYY too dark so tried to lighten it with the other colors..
B24,26,32
BV11,31
V0000
C0,00,2
T1
BG000,13,53
Sentiments from great impressions, some paper adventures stripe pp, Metal green seambinding. colorbox fluid chalk ink along the edges... this ones A-6 in real life.

Be Mine Mouse FS261

Painted some diamond glaze on Monica's heart but, it soaked in while it was drying and it doesn't have much dimension to the touch now that its dry. totally loved the featured stampers huge bow on her card and tried to recreate it, this is 3 pieces of ribbon. the first snip was just big enough to wrap to the back sides of the heart ( bo bunny ) pp and its taped to the back of that the other two longer pieces were tied together then moving the ends in a X shape lifted cross pieces to make bows make a loop with one side in one hand and one in the other and tie them, then lifted the two strays and did the same thing. so they really the knots were on top of each other and just fussed with them a bit to try and get them fluffy. ( there are a few huge craft glue dots under that) the vintage rayon pink crochet thread ( holding on the MM ticket) is just wrapped around the bow top and taped to the back also because, it did not want to stay tied in a knot.
So, bright and early sunday morning I peeked at Darsie's gallery and came across this Christmas Gift Card and thought oh how very elegant, then peeked at the House Mouse and friends challenge blog ( two hearts on the project) and kind of mooshed it all together in my mind and this is the end piece. I have not linked this card to the HM blog challenge though because it is Darcie's design and such. I do like how it turned out. tossed a lot of paper in the process first embossed frame was done on some pink vellum cut it out on both edges making a window frame... then decided oh you really should stop sewing everything esp. when your trying to case a card. so, tossed it into a Xyron... big mistake. dang thing hasnt been used in so long it was dusty inside... so, the see thru frame had lots of dirt pasted into the glue ( Im rolling my eyes here) oh yeah its a total pain in the neck to peel something that fragile off the xyron paper too so was too busy patting my self on the back for getting it off in one piece to notice the dust until it hit the pink cardstock. oh well, so switched gears and found some Basic grey pp to use instead and the pink textured paper under that is unknown (now ) probably used it recently but, have forgotten. maybe provo craft maybe creative imaginations. might just give this one to hubs... haven't decided that yet. This is 5X7 in real life.

Bleeding Hearts

A very long time ago now my friend Lori (Thanks Chickie!) won this old PSX bleeding heart before I did and stamped me a few on that copic Xpress paper, and I was very curious about it and decided to color one with pencils... ( people raved about this paper for copics ) so, it was a little bit of curiosity type thing... it colors beautifully for pencils also... It has a slight slippery feel to the touch but, what ever it is, its not like the coating on whisper white meant to keep your solid ink images up on the top of the paper so, it feels good and the pencils glide on it really well.
Been trying to use up my pre-colored images I've had for a while, so this one is A-6 in real life and uses up a scrap of Basic Grey PP bottom was punched with an SU border scallop and some cool green seam binding Leigh Anne rak'd me recently (Thanks!!!). Just a simple note card.

the mug shots of rubber

They are hard to see I know, the ones in the center cut out are from Gina K Designs from a recent grab bag win, the sentiment reads Thank-You and it was a duplicate in the bag and the other is the cow from funny farm ( I own that set) the rest is from Viva Las Vegas Stamps, the wood mounted ones were wrong stamps mailed to me in a large order last summer they said no no dont mail them back... and the rubber sheets ( came to me just as you see them) and I just I have so much I have no use for these... if you want a chance to win them leave a comment on the dress accordingly post below... if you win and want to re-gift them go right ahead :)

Peeking Out

This is an Penny Black Hedgie "yearning" but, I think of it as the peeking out hedgie... ( when I bought it I also picked up a sentiment that reads "peeking out to see how your doing" and then did not use that one on purpose this time around. That sentiments from SU stamped on an Memory box label that the end was snipped off to give it that "tag" shape.
Okay so this image was colored with copic's and was trying for a "rusty" look on the watercan. copic colors are:
grass: yg63,yg93,yg95,yg97
watercan: BG10, BG72, BG90, BG93, E35, E39
Daisy: Y11, Y15, Y17, YG21, YG23
Face: E30, E31, E34, E50
Fur: E70, E71, E74, E79
Shadow is C0
This card is about 4"x6" in real life, used an petite oval spellbinders on the hedgie and that swiss dots
ribbon is most likely May Arts ( the dots have texture to touch them) slightly 3-d in person. The gold
sheer on the sentiment tag is from Offray.

Dress Accordingly

I've had this clothing tag for some time now, if you cannot read it, it says "life is beautiful dress accordingly" came off a shirt with long-john texture material lol from kohls... so that made me curious found some shirt I had picked up for Tim that he had the tags on still ( don't ask, the man thinks anytime he has more then 7 shirts in the closet its the end of the world) And the guy shirts are different on the inside, so its just something fun. chick shirts have better hidden messages in them. Maybe someone somewhere KNOWS guys rip those tags off and never see the message folded on the inside.
Sometimes I come across this photo in my have not done anything with it yet folder and it just makes me stop and grin because, then I tend to glance at what I'm wearing at that point and it's become exceedingly casual over the last few years that we've had our fur babies and the fact that they go to work with us every day. Dog Drool on a wool suit is not a pretty sight.
... so when I turned this on to make a new post the dashboard informed me that this is the 1000th post to this blog since it was started way back when. and in the last year some extra new rubber has come my way that is either a duplicate stamp or something not me. and I hemmed and and hawed about it long enough. I'm going to give them away. so. if you'd like your name tossed in a hat for the kid to draw next week. ( lets give it 7 days) then leave me a comment.
stamps I know I have are from Viva Las Vegas and Gina K Designs. ( will shoot a mug shot of them sometime this week) smooshed my finger last night and am not typing too well yet. not sure if I will be doing much stamping any time soon either. ( have one more finished card to post later) and yes, I will ship them any place. ( but be advised the cards I mailed to a lady in Spain on Halloween were just delivered to her this week!) so if you live in Spain or Italy it may be 6 months before they reach you!

I actually have some in this color combo in my garden and they gophers dont eat these bulbs like tulips around here.
Colored these blooms with Copic Markers: YG13,YG21,YG23, YR61, YR65, E93, C0, C000,

Y11,Y13,Y18,Y19,YG01,YG00,YG21,YG13,YG23. Spica Gold, Spica Mint ( which did not photograph no matter what angle I tilted this card at ) but its very subtle in real life.
This one is 6" square with an My Sentiments Exactly sentiment on the Memory box die cut tag.
