WOYWW #286

If your wondering why the mess is on display, head over to Julia's blog and read all the details on how you can play along.

so, these are tuesday night after work views under the artificial lights ( again ) I have not cleaned up all the way from all the last minute booth things I made but, I had killed some time in a craft store ( 80 miles from my house ) on tuesday waiting for Costco to finish printing photos...

what followed me home was some red & gray fancy pants corrugated papers ( 5 for a dollar GASP) and some brown, ( have not cut into that yet) and this MME red gingham papers... the deer and stocking were already made and just waiting to be used.

Just some different angles. all of these desk shots were taken with my cell phone.

the deer is an Sizzix die cut, I did rub some vintage photo distress ink onto this. the sentiment is an Unity Stamps one.

The stocking (SU) is heat embossed with SU white on Kraft and the Joy is from Stampendous, and that wood stamp... that is from Gina K designs and stamped on the inside of this one. the lace is vintage.

This one the hearts are die cut with the primitive Sizzix die from some recollections paper I had sprayed with Gold Heidi Swapp color shine last week. the edges were lined with a krylon paint pen. but, the Cool thing on this is the dymo label LOVE sentiment... mine disappeared over a year ago and I have not found it yet. ( and since I kept it in a bucked on the table with deco scissors its kinda a Hmmm, thing) ( makes me wonder if I lent it to someone and then forgot ) So, the part that makes that cool is... I have been searching for a new one for some time now and am always told they don't make it anymore... they have them on Amazon if you need one. This one is only 5 1/2" square in real life.

Sunday's Cards

this was actually my third attempt at an Featured Stamper case this last sunday from Cheryl's gallery seen here.  This one is 6" square in real life, the sheet music and chipboard snowflake were sprayed with some colorshine sprays and the large scallop border die is from PTI. The sentiment is from Impress and the stamped snowflake is from Hero Arts.

this was attempt #2. its A-7 in real life, tried making it with smaller scallops as I had this A Muse scrap on the table.

This was the first try, the sled is from Prickley Pear rubber stamps and I colored this a very long time ago. the sentiment I have to look up because, I have forgotten. I really was not thrilled with this one at all so, that is why the second and finally third one were done. this one happens to be 6" square in real life. ( and it becomes card number one for next years booth lol)

Shepherd's Market {2014}

Friday AM (all of these shots were taken with my phone) I didn't bring my camera to the set up Thursday night. and I forgot on Friday am...

wasn't really sure how clear these would turn out. and had intended to look at the photos on friday night in a computer but, never got around to it.

before I went Friday am I did a pit stop at dutch brothers... in case you cannot see it that lid proclaims best day ever. and funny true story. this year I DID sell more on Friday than on Saturday.

Saturday AM I was up at 4:30. ( it was like that all week long but, this day I got up and started making more tags) so, everything was done from things on the table.

these stockings were heat embossed and cut out a long time ago.

this finished off the dyed/stained tags I had on my table. these are size 8 tags in real life. with PTI die cuts on them. ( had sold all of these on friday) and after that I did 8 more 3" cards that looked just like the ones that went into the donated raffle snowman hat I showed you last week.

results, well it was slow on Saturday AM so, I did not do as well money wise as in previous years. ( its OK ) I also was able to rent both sides of the hallway for next year ( for 10.00 more) so that was a relief. ( the hallway is not really wide enough for two different vendors to work it at the same time, the school also added a large glass display case for trophy's in one half of the other side of the hallway too)

Prepping Continues

these baskets are on the coffee table upstairs, We set up the booth tonight.

just a different shot same stuff.

A peek inside the winter / Christmas suitcase.

two more suitcases plus more baskets.

made this gift card holder after the sheet music tags but, it wasn't the same and never got around to posting the mug shot. ( this is a sizzix die)

now, this I am not really sure about what I want to do with it... was thinking about using them as a gift with a purchase type thing. thanks for your purchase. but, a lot of people who come by the booth and buy they do not make their own cards... was thinking it would be easy enough for people to stamp or write a name on the blank parts of the tickets. there are 24 of them in side the wrappers. ( I originally bought these bags to hold the peppermint patty candies with toppers but, I don't for the most part alter food things for this booth so, this was just an idea to use up some of these bags and tickets)

WOYWW #285 {Prepping}

Good Morning it's Wednesday, so you know what that means the mess is on display. If you'd like to play along with this blog hop it starts at the hostess Julia's blog where you can find the details here

bright and early tuesday AM I started sewing the fabric curtian panels for the screen walls of the booth. ( I will have 16 total screens now up from the original 8) so, this was done in the kitchen as there is some good day light in there ( until about 2 PM ) so, I have 4 more to finish this morning before I head to work.

These are the "raffle gift prize" cards every vendor has one raffle prize donated to the school as part of their fund raising efforts. So, I found these wooden ornaments at M's with 12 in the package... lol they are 4 of 3 each different sizes. ( which I did not notice until I cut them open) so, I started out with this 8 matching size tags (3" square Hero Arts sentiments) and

Funny true story the glue dots rolled on the back side of these ornaments did not want to stick to the plain wood ones but, the glue sticks really well to the glitter covered ones ( go figure eh?)

When I was done packaging the 8 tags ( found this cute snowman hat shaped basket at M's to hold them) it had room for 4 more so, I went back to M's and picked up a second package of the snowflakes because, I never give them less than 12 gift tags but, this is the first time I have ever made them a "matched" set. (usually its a random assortment)
on Thursday night the booth set's up. will have more mug shots later this evening I think of basket views and such.

Sheet Music Tags

So, I ran into Micheal's on Veteran's day last week and they had this recollections sheet music printed paper on sale for 6 for a dollar. anyways, I ended up spraying it with some Heidi Swapp gold shimmer spray. ( a few sheets of it ) and die cut some into these shapes with Sizzix dies. ( all of these have a second layer of thin kraft cover sheet behind them because, the paper is so thin )

This pair was lined with some Krylon gold leafing pen and the sentiment is from Hero Arts stamped on some scraps that had the SU linen background previously stamped on it.

These the edges of all the hearts were done in vintage photo distress.

The primitive star's were lined with gold paint pen like the tree's were. I need to remember to keep an eye out for gold elastic cord, it seems to be harder to find at Christmas the last couple of years. guess I will have to dig my SU book out and see if they have any. ( they used to only in the Christmas books but, I can't remember if I had seen it or not this year.)

Random Cards

most of these were done this weekend for the booth. Tim Holtz poinsettia blue print colored with copic's and pitt pens. this was matted with some mellow moss ( I am so going to cry when I use my last sheet of this color) and that is up on pop dots over the DCWV corrugated paper. this one is 6" in real life.

an very old PSX stamp ( swans ) colored with copic markers and the sentiment is from SU. this printed paper is from Daisy D's.

used a white gel pen to draw the fold lines into the skirt then covered the dress repeatedly with wink of stella in clear. ( it did not want to photograph )

This one is 5X7 in real life. This bride is from Stamping Bella and the sentiment is from the Gina K set called lovely labels.

the gears and sprockets are an mono print on some basic grey pp done with gellato's the other colors are distress stains and water. The sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

just because it makes me smile. the extra sentiment is from Elyzybells, and the chickens are from Penny Black. this image was rak'd to me years ago and so, I don't remember who to thank for it anymore sorry.

this butterfly is from Stampington & Co. and the sentiment is from Stampin Up's teeny tiny wishes ( I have gotten every penny's worth out of that sentiment set for sure) the printed paper is from
Daisy D's.

everything from this card down was done end of Sept. through out Oct and I never got around to posting them. I have already forgotten about who makes these stamps. I am guessing the pines are Gina K though, I remember getting an order of mostly paper from her a while back. I think the sentiment is from Unity Stamps ( but, I could be wrong about that)

this couple is from Unity stamps and the sentiment is from My Favorite things.

an Hero Arts sentiment.

This sheep is from Penny Black and the sentiment is from Unity Stamps

the lady that asked for Christmas cards in Sept. also wanted Saint Patrick's day and Fourth of July at that same time, and I didn't have any made but, I did have these two colored and so they became simple cards for the stash. This stamp is from Outlines colored with copic's and gel pens.

I am guessing off the top of my head here that that shamrock is maybe Inkadinkadoo and the sentiment I think is SU.

haha found this vehicle paper and remembered I bought this sentiment.

Fern Thanks & get well

This was done this morning inspired by this card in Audrie's gallery as she is this week's featured stamper. the changes I made were the layers were changed to pop dots and the satin was switched to string and the sentiment was tied on. The distress ink pads were stamped direct onto a scrap of neenah and the Hero Arts fern was over stamped over the color blocks. the centers of the leaves did not stamp well so I swiped them with an baked brown sugar marker. this sentiment is from the SU set teeny tiny wishes.  This one is A-7 in real life.

So, I had these scraps... This one is A-6 in real life.

and all four of these are 3" square in real life. with no sentiments at all and smaller Hero Arts ferns on them.

Inspiration Challenge cards {and a training fire}

Audrie chose the Harry and David's website for the inspiration challenge today and I happened across this gift and decided to use the colors as the jump start for these cards. The Impression Obsession snowflake is heat embossed with some SU white powder on PTI vellum cardstock (last weekend while I was messing around with the featured stamper challenge) and I always make more of something esp. if its messy. So, I decided to cut it square and the one below also then used the square dies to make some window frames to have something to glue to. these panels are up on pop dots and you cannot see the light pass through this one because, its backed with the ( very thin, last piece I had to use up of this coversheet from staples) white metallic paper. go me eh? The sentiment is from Hero Arts. the lace is vintage and this one is 6" square in real life.

This version is A-2 in real life on some PTI chocolate and the lace is also vintage. I don't remember who makes these gems.

the view out the front door after 1 today. ( the house two doors south was condemmed a couple of years ago due to a fire and someone bought the property to rebuild something ( bigger and fancier on) and donated the original house to the fire dept. for a training day.

these are just out of the phone.

I was so very thankful the wind never whipped around and came towards the house. ( you can still smell the smoke but, its not an intolerable have to go away type fill your house with smoke smell)

because, i was text-ing J while this was going on and earlier there were a lot more fire trucks at the school across the street but, by the time the flames got really high most of them had already left.
