9 more for Wednesday

So, I am still using up things I had either stamped or die cut and making mostly simple cards for the booth.
this one is 6" square in real life and its the first time I have used this sentiment ( Impression Obsession)
The little elephant is an MS punchie and the onesie is a die ( I have to go look for it ) guessing MFT.
This one is 5 1/2" square.

This sentiment is from Impression Obsession and is another one I "had to have" and had not inked before today. I stamped it over a partial impression of the SU swallowtail background. the teal is a scrap of Recollections glitter paper. that embroidered trim is vintage and this one is 6" square in real life.

Just because, I came across a stash of these typewriters and sentiments already stamped and cut while I was cleaning... ( MFT )  the grey corrugate is from fancy pants the big flower is from Prima, and the smaller ones are from wild orchid crafts) used that becca's bow maker to do the satin bow.
This one is 6" square in real life and ended up boxed.

the sideways strip of paper behind the typewriter is the reverse side of the stripe mat. this one is 5 1/2" square in real life.

mostly kaiser craft papers with a bit of vintage lace some pop dots and the kraft core cardstock is Tim Holtz it was embossed with one of his folders and sanded to let the kraft peek through. the Happy Birthday Banner I have to go look for it. ( stamped it a while ago) its up on higher pop dots than the typewriter/paper layer is. This one is 6" square in real life.

and just because, there was some scraps from the last two days of card making... some 3" ones have been used up.

Played in the snow all afternoon...

So, I fully intended to start on my Valentines today since i took the day off... But i had this stamp set ( which i have never played with before) on the edge of my table. So i started out with a sheet of Su Glossy white cardstock ( that i cut into quarters) This was the first attempt. I stamped the large snowflake with Ranger clear resist ink on the white glossy then heat set it and rubbed some color box fluid chalk ink ( Ice blue) and some Versamagic aspen mist dew drop ink over the top of it. ( the dew drops chalk ink does not seem to stain or settle very well on the glossy it rubs almost completely off) this was very subtle looking and not quite what i was looking for but, i do love the colors of this. so then i stamped the snowflake again over the top of it all with a chalk ink in Prussian Blue. The Hero Arts Delight word border was stamped with versamark then heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White powder. The mat on this is blue bayou and the pale blue is Soft Sky. the photo corners i ( think could be heidi swapp) and the little pearls are from MM. this is an a-2 sized card.
This was the second try and on this one, i had some of that Prussian blue ink left on the stamp and just started randomly stamping the glossy with it. so these are 2nd, third, fourth generation images and so on and so on. The mat on it is Not Quite Navy, the Soft Sky cardstock has the Fine Lace background stamped on it with Not Quite Navy ink and the mat of that is Blue Bayou. the brads are unknown, the Stampendous Enjoy is stamped with versamark on blue bayou and heat embossed with seafoam white powder then punched with an Martha Stewart tag punch. the silver thread is the old style ( unravels) from SU and the blue satin ribbon was an ebay seller rak. the White columns card base is from Neenah. Its 6 inches Square in real life.
Since the first attempt the background snowflakes did not pop the way i had thought they would this time i tried stamping them in versamark then heat embossing them in the seafoam white. so when i got to the rub some chalk ink on the glossy part those white snowflakes turned pale blue and aqua. ( still not quite what I was hoping for) I then over stamped the snowflakes in Prussian Blue and heat set it all, the mat is Blue Bayou and trimmed with mini pinking deco scissors, the card base is Soft Sky and the ribbon is unknown, the Sparkle crystals are from Heidi Swapp. this one is also a-2 in size. The sentiment of this one is from SU also and done in Palette Noir Black.
ah ha i figured that resist pad out, you gotta go dark and bold...
this was the last quarter and instead of using the chalk ink pads i switched over to dye pads. the Vibrant blue is Nick Bantock Cerulean Azure and the second color is Not Quite Navy. The mat is Shimmery White and the sentiment is stamped on a large su oval punchie of that with Not Quite Navy also. ( which ended up being too pale when it dried) I added some clear stickles glitter glue to the snowflakes and then the Black for Drama. the Black ribbon is from May Arts, the Pearl mini brads are from Lasting Impressions and the Black linen cardbase is from Neenah. the tealish blue mat is (really flimsy stuff) that came in a huge pack from Costco a long time ago. ( its only good for mats) This one is 5X7 in real life. tfl.

Blast from Last Christmas'es Cards

Way back in the use the scanner for everything days... this one i did a few of this design ( don't remember how many) the poinsettia is from Penny black and heat embossed on textured bazzill with distress powder.
this one the hero Arts dahlia is stamped repeatedly with fired brick distress on cream cardstock then the centers are colored with prisma pink pencil then there is some random red stickles glittler glue in some centers, ( this is layered a few times) and was about 5 x7 ish i think?
This was just one of those things, had to have this stamp, couldn't make it look good with markers so i heat embossed it in gold on red, and made the flowers into cards with pp scraps. did two or three similar to this, the gold on the paper edges is all krylon paint pen. ( i was all over that pen last year haha)
oh dug this Noel out and did the same things with it more or less...
this one was slightly more 3-d there is another layer of flowers on it...
Loved the lace and the color combo of this one, stamps are Hero Arts.
now this cracks me up, i have all these dies you see, i have never used them in scrapbook pages, but i told my self i had to get my moneys worth out of them so i must have made 60 of this one... ( i still have 30 of these bases just like this with no stockings on them) the flowers in the stocking are from a QK die ( and part of that was vellum) and such a pain in the rear to get out of the die without ruining the paper... the gold balls are beads and if i remember right they rubbed off in the mail and everyone who got this card got gold ball confetti in the bottoms of the envelope. ( this is what it was supposed to look like)
live and learn eh?
these made me smile to find the photos at least i had them on a disk, our computers hard drive died last Christmas and so, alot of the the old stuff is gone, some that was uploaded to the albums at peas is gone, oh well. anyways i think I'm gonna put up the tree today. :)

More Happiness (in red and kraft)

I am really enjoying this stamp. have run out of light but, so far in less then 24 hours i have made 7 cards with it... ( and have a few more pieces that are embossed to do something with later)
this one was done with scraps from some of the others.
another cut apart image
very simple one, matted on to an cream linen texture a-2 pre-made card, with an hero arts sentiment. that's about if for today. the choice since its raining and cold here was bake or stamp. and stamping won since i really don't need the (what i would have ended up eating if i baked) :)

Happy Mail and Happiness

This oh so detailed fun card came to me from Jennifer Its hard to show it in the photo, but the frosting is absolutely REAL looking, and there are piercing doodles along the alternate corners. this card has such wonderful texture. ( plus perfect coloring) :) This Happiness Background stamp is one of the things i bought myself with my birthday money. Its stamped in versamark on SU kraft cardstock then heat embossed in ranger seafoam white. the Hero Arts sentiment is stamped on a scrap of the kraft in Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and the pearl brads are from Lasting Impressions, the textured tan cardstock is from Bazzill this is about 5X6 1/2 ish in real life, i liked it so well i made two of them. :)
This one is also heat embossed with seafoam white on some cover sheet that i picked up at staples last Christmas in an assortment package, its not quite a red and it has a little bit of shimmer to it in real life, the black photo corners are from Heidi Swapp, the two puffy hearts are from MM and the ribbon is unknown. This is the same size as the other two above.
Have a happy stampy saturday people!

A second Shadowbox card

This is the idea i was thinking about as i read the tutorial, that if you made your back piece of cardstock 1 inch longer then your front piece you could score it one more time {so its scored at 1 1/2", 1" and 1/2" from the end} then that extra fold would wrap around to the front of the card. I did this yesterday real quick but, it got too dark to photograph it so i finished it this afternoon while it was snowing. ( Snow bounces a lot of light through the windows in the afternoon) This card is larger then the tutorial card so the back piece was cut at 5X8" and the top piece was cut at 5X7" the window was cut with an Accucut Scalloped oval frame die on my sizzix machine, its a piece of foil transfer background i did with the fired brick on plain cream cardstock and then the dahlia stamp (hero arts) was a left over from teaching the class a while back with a button in the center. tfl.

Tonights Class {Dahlia Stamp}

Tonight's class ( which sold out in January and has been put off till tonight because of the snow ) is they people will make this card and the purple card and take home this hero arts stamp. I have also done a few extra cards for the ladies to see so they have more ideas of what they could do with their stamp after they get it home. This is the whole card from the image above. uses Fancy Pants newer pp and its stamped, colored and cut out 3 times and layered. This card has the background stamped with the flower on the castaway ink pads. This card the flower is stamped with the aged mahogany distress ink then heat set with clear embossing powder. the background was done with a foil transfer technique. This was an attempt at "ghosting" so the image is stamped with versa mark on white glossy cardstock and heat embossed with ranger white seafoam powder. then used red pepper alcohol ink over the top and wiped it off the white embossing parts of the flower. ( its actually kinda pink in real life not white anymore) This one the flowers are stamped with Stampin up white craft ink ( which i heat set to dry it) then colored the back sides with tombo marker and then cut out. this one is 5X7 in real life and yep found more of that May Arts ribbon on eBay recently in more colors. :) TFL.

just a few more cards

these are cards on display in the scrapbook studio store { where they just started selling Hero Arts stamps} the flower is the dahlia bloom and the one on the left was the first one (its not on display) i think it looks a little like it had a glitter attack and the pink is too pink with the distress inks... so, then I did the one on the right which i like best. and MIL likes best but, Tim and June ( the lady who answers our phones at work) like the first one better. (go figure ehh?) the hard part about making cards for the store is trying to use products the store has... something in the store is also some of these double sided chatter box papers. the lace medallion that looks more white in the scan is up on pop-dots so it was closer to the scanner screen ( all the embossed lace is actually the same color of white in real life) this card and the next were totally inspired by ladies who are rocking the gallery at 2 Peas with their Hero Arts stamps.... Yep, i caved and bought the drooping flower & some fluid chalk inks because of you guys too! this one the flower is done with the distress embossing. its probably a little on the plain side, but since this is primarily a scrapbook store they seem to flinch if i bring them a card that looks too "hard" so, you'll probably be seeing quite a few simple ones for that part, but, I'm hoping to get her to carry more fun stuff if people admire the cards that use some things she does not have yet... (other stamp lines and fun stuff like embossing powder, glitters, pearl-ex etc...) I did warn her that if she wanted me to really use whatever i wanted i would probably influence her to become a rubber stamp art store when ever possible lol... :) I ended up shooting 25 yard photos last night... and i will post a few here in a little while (need more coffee) The rest will go into the kodak gallery.
