I actually made a card

today... in this heat... for Alice, used one of the sketches from Stamptv with two new stamps from Gina K Designs, but... i have no photoshop in this puter yet... ( tried to pick it up at costco last week on an ice run to medford (because it was in their coupon book) but.. the coupons were not in effect yet when i went and i wanted to save 30.00... and now the program will not open at all in the dying computer... ( surprise surprise) so...
that brings up a nother thought. if you have not received an email from me in a while, send me a new one so i can put you back into my email address book. :)

Deer Creek Birthday Cards

I very rarely do this... duplicate cards, but when i was embossing the woodgrain quarter i grabbed the other quarter and thought... do it again... So here they are. These were done on some speckletone oatmeal coversheet and then colored mainly with distress ink's although there is some white gel pen on the "creek" the trees, deer, birds are all from stampscapes, the sentiments from SU, the rocky creekbed is from hampton arts, the (moon/sun) was done with an circle spellbinders die cut that was inked over... then after i thought ha how are you going to add color to it? ( so it received none) These are 6" square in real life.

Always Remember

had this scrap of crate paper out and thought.. it would look good with this scrap of metal green seambinding... so, this is probably an yard of seambinding across this card. (didnt measure it) but it was pretty fluffy ( before it was stitched) the pressure foot smooths it flatter alot. then started looking for a doo-dad to put onto this, ( was just messing around ) and found this newer Ippity set "Now and Always" and thought the center flower looked close enough to blend with the paper, so it was stamped with distress barn red ink and colored with copic's the bottom flower was stamped with Distress tumbled glass then has some frayed burlap colordusted on it, the buttons from the Papertrey ink spring mix jar with some Karen Foster scrappers floss through some holes. this is up on pop dots. The whole thing is 5X7 in real life.

I really do need some July B-day ones... The stack of books with the butterfly is from Ippity and the sentiments (forgot) these are done with Vintage Sepia Versafine on Neenah Classic Cream colored with copics, inked with colorbox fluid chalk ink creamy brown ( best guess) paper roses are from Recollections, lace is vintage, It's A-6 in real life.

Miss Ya stars

This was done for Lee's color challenge for the Stamptv July release. That diamond print came on that Bazzill like that ( a long time ago) this was a left over scrap piece (luckily big enough for a card front, but not a piece with the info on it) the Stars were done mostly in Versafine onyx Black and then one was done on the back side of the textured black cardstock and heat embossed with Stampendous Detail White this is up on black popdots. the printed grosgrain is unknown, brads are from recollections. Sentiments from the GKD Botanical's set. This is 5X7 in real life.

Happy 4U {Sketch}

Metal Green hug snug rayon seambinding... sprayed this one with some glimmer mist too... ( cant see it all) (such is life) this is the first time i have tried to sew "wrinkled" ribbon... my pressure foot kept trying to flatten it out. will have to play with this some more later to get it a little more loopy fluffy looking i think... This was done for Jessica's sketch challenge on Stamp TV from the release party a few days ago.
The Doily's from Nana's needlework, heat embossed onto staples vellum with ranger super fine detail black, its attatched to a scrap of cream pp. with some teeny recollections brads and this is sewn to a piece of textured bazzill. the background printed papers are from the October Afternoon thriftshop pad. The sentiments from the GKD botanical's set and the edges of the fancy tag have some Fresco Mediterranean tide chalk ink on them. its also up on pop dots. This is 5X7 in real life.

The brown crochet trim is May Arts. thinking if i remember right ( this has been delivered so it became safe to post) ;) that the yellow is so saffron and the white is pti. and its probably A-6 in real life. Glimmermist Luv

Got some rolls of this rayon seam binding recently and sprayed a bunch of it with glimmer mist... which lead to spraying anything not nailed down on the table (including the table and the palms of my hands..) so, it dried... and today i messed around with some of it.
these particular sprays were red velvet & auburn and an homemade one i did a long long time ago with alcohol ink ( butterscotch) & super bronze pearl ex powders... that was rose petal colored Hug Snug binding, the silk flower petals came to me as a RAK recently, ( I left them on the table assuming i would remember who sent them) (sorry) I know better... I also had a beat up premade cream colored card that got sprayed then die cut with an Tim Holtz Baroque die. (cut in half) the one on the left is 4" square and the one on the right is 5 1/2" square. When i first got that Lovely Labels i must have stamped it two dozen times in various colors and die cut it... ( and these are in a baggie on the table) so added the Hampton arts sentiment to it with some Raisin Adirondack ink. The vintage keyhole's from Melissa Francis. the tiny key's from Jolee's for you. with some Bucilla ribbon embroidery silk tied around it. I had originally sewn the baroque die cuts to the corners of an 5X7 piece of this Co'Ordinations white washed pink cardstock and they were just too far apart, so tossed it onto the score pal and scored it a few times and folded the center in so they were closer together ( those corners ) The cardbase is unknown, the pink on the inside is from last years or the year before's su in color pink ( the one you don't have to hoard anymore because they put it into yesterday's new book) That is a whole bunch of silk flowers, some generic, some MM, almost all of them sprayed with the glimmer mists, the Felt heart button came from frog feather's etsy shop, as did the mauve trim. the fiber's tied through the center are unknown. the epoxy brad ( huge huge ) is from Angie ( Renski) that came to me via wish rak inside the spring/summer exchange box... That sentiments from SU ( fancy flexible phrases) done in Adirondack Rasin on a scrap of that SU pink.
