Winter Wings Big Lens Shoot

Tim and I stole some time this morning to do the Leo's Camera "big lens" field trip class... so these were shot with an borrowed Cannon D7 or 7D ( forgot its name) with an 100-400 lens. ( which does not seem to be much different then looking through an Pentax K7 with an Sigma100-500 on it. However when it was my turn to put the borrowed store body on the Cannon 800MM lens that was cool ( my shots with it are not worth sharing) but, it was a fun morning and we're glad we went. Tomorrow i take the "secrets of Raw" and Sunday I take Lightroom Basic's classes at OIT. We may go back out tomorrow sometime before we get the puppy dropped off and play with our own camera's ( we had them with us and both of us got better shots with our own toys, but these were some of the better ones with the borrowed camera)

Garden Bunny Welcome

I know its hard to read... this is actually a small stamp but the bunny's sign reads "welcome friends" Cards 6" Square in real life, the pp is from cosmo cricket material girl ( its the a double sided sheet so both sides of the same piece) the blue lace is vintage. The bunny is from Stampendous, stamped with Memento on Neenah colored with copic's and die cut with an labels 17 spellbinders die. the edges have some antique linen distress along them. the card base is an columns texture ( pistachio?) cs. lined with classic cream smooth. added on some latte kaiser pearls along the edges of the stamped panel. sending this to my newest RAK welcome assignment. hopefully she will like it.

Cupcake Birthday

This one uses the PTI cupcake card die and the numbers dies... the pp along the bottom is basic gray. what I've found making these cards is the dies work better for the thinner cardstocks and cover sheet then the really thick (say neenah 110# weight cardstock it will only cut through one sheet then embosses the shape on the second.) the ric rac is vintage, the sentiments from Impress. die cut with an spellbinders label die.

Mint Chip Cupcake

Mint Chip cupcake... so, it looks like the texture part of the bottom piece on the papertrey ink cupcake card die, seems to work better with cardstock rather then designer papers... vintage lace, the handmade paper is sewn to the card front shape panel and I picked a lighter color so the light could travel through a bit. Penny Black sentiment inside..

More Christmas ( Stockings )

So, these were done really ( quick and simply) using some old SU stocking images i had heat embossed years ago so I don't remember which powders or papers these are but, some is shimmery white. had one in the colored images tin that had been cut out with pinking shears and so cut out the others with a friskars mini pinking deco scissors. the Merry Christmas is from the SU set called Many Merry Messages, stamped with Versafine Satin Red on some shimmery white cs. the button's from a pack of assorted ones from probably M's many years ago. bit of irridescent May Arts cord looped into a bow . These are A-6 in real life. and this puts me at 6 done for (March) now... and i had done some Christmas Cards after Christmas before the new challenge started so I actually have 30 cards done rather then 18...

Bloomin Birthday Vintage

I think that clock pp could be websters pages ( not sure anymore got the scrap from the bin, but its double sided and the other side is a black and cream print) Sentiments from make an impression. I tend to when i get a die make a pile of die cuts with it from the scrap bin and lately i have been pulling out little baggies of dies from the drawer and actually using them... these flowers were done with the tim holtz sizzix tattered flowers die. think that check paper is cosmo cricket? material girl? the tan print is basic grey. cream neenah and textured bazzill cardstocks. this ones 5X7 in real life. This tag was was die cut from the chipboard that came in a pack of papertrey ink vellum cardstock. its an Sizzix tag super scallop crescent die. the pp is unknown and has been distressed and has some old paper distress ink on it. the red ribbon wrapped around this paper came to me tied to one of my Christmas gifts from MommaPatti, ( Thanks Patti!) its stapled to the tag and the back side is visible. the cream panel is an sizzix die cut from the key and key hole die. the flowers are tattered flowers, the large copper brad & tiny mini brads are from recollections and the glazed brad is from addison hill. ( it was an exchange gift last year) the sheer ribbon is unknown and the brown & white thread is from Julies etsy shop. This tag measures 4" x 5" in real life. Now these are entirely Jennifers fault... lol She had the cuutest knit wit cards on her blog a couple of weeks ago and (this was my favorite) and it "made me" go looking for taylored expressions. ( my usual is to assume a new-ish co. is probably clear and to not really pay much attention to them) but, these turned out to be rubber so... you'll be seeing more of these ;) the lamb is an sizzix die with an kaiser chocolate pearl for the eye. vintage lace and scraps from the cards above. this one's 3" square in real life.

Light Trio ( 6 pack)

Knew i needed one more Card for the January 6 cards and knew i had pp with lights on it and Moose images already colored, but when i found the pp in the stash ( this is one of the oldest pieces of paper i own, and it has no mfg info on the back of it) The Paper turned out to be the wrong colors ( because, of that steely blue is bulb) so. Cut it up and squeezed 6 cards out of the sheet. there is some grey/silver offray satin wrapped around the bulb die cuts. the silver cord is unknown, the bulbs are up on pop dots. these were cut with the sizzix die that does and Ornament and Stocking at the same time it does the light bulb. There are 6 of them all together at 4" X 6" in real life. The Merry tags were done with the su tiny tags and punchie.
