Watercoloring loose flowers

This week the watercolor Wednesday challenge is looking at this tutorial for loose watercolor florals seen here on Youtube.

Using some Daniel Smith watercolor paints with a size 6 round princeton neptune brush.

a closer look at the one that made it onto a card front. This one I did use more water on the edges of the petals to enlarge them. I also ended up doing the white gouache 3 times over the center of these petals to get them to show up. they really faded into the paint even though it was dry when I did it.

I did cut the watercolor panel with a stitched rectangle die and then used a Pink Fresh blanket stitched die to cut a frame that matched the base out and they were slightly not the same size. so, I stacked the burgundy blanket stitched die cut twice layering it over the top on one layer and the bottom on the other. and then used the same die to do the white writing panel for the inside of the card.

You can find this challenge here at Splitcoaststampers to play along with us. Thanks for stopping by.
