WOYWW #609 { embossing }

 So, as it happens a while back I had been adding ink to some previously embossed sheets I found in the file cabinet and that one in the top left-ish corner on the glass mat was the one I had one left of. and I knew it was an Anna Griffin one and I didn't find the folder in the basket of mine so, that meant it belonged to my MIL. ( she is a big fan and has bought most of her sets off the TV) at any rate I knew it was older and decided to go poking about on ebay to see if any were for sale. ( holy cow, people are asking 50-60 dollars for that folder) ( you could have knocked me over with a feather) So, I texted her and said hey, can I borrow this folder? ( and 4 others followed me home on Sunday) (we are in hubs parents bubble & the lonely is getting weary for them) and during the free time I have been rolling some and inking some. So, I tend to spread them out when I am doing this so I don't make a million of the same thing ( with colors on printed papers)  that folder is big enough to paper piece it. This was where I stopped at yesterday evening as I hauled some of those folders down to the sink to rinse the inks off of them. That's about it from me, It's pretty cold here the rumor is we may actually get some snow here again today. Take care of yourselves, & thanks for stopping by.

They all look beautiful!! I have been trying to use my EFs more - to that end I have moved them onto a higher shelf, maybe if they are in my eyeline they'll come out to play more! Whilst doing that I was staggered to see how many I had ((though I doubt they would sell for that much!!). Loneliness is a big thing - I've actually had my family with me more than would be usual so we can't complain on that score. I do miss my mum terribly though, she is in a bubble with my sister who is closer. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindyxx #19

That's such a pretty design on that folder! I love how it gets less dense as it travels up. I only have a few embossing folders and I can't remember the last time I used one. Maybe that's a challenge for myself! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #2

Hi Stacy. Glad you were able to get hold of the embossing folder you needed - goodness - what a price tag!!! Surely no-one is prepared to pay that sort of money when it was probably around $5 new???!!! It must have become a very rare example! The sheets are all lovely and will keep you busy for ages.

I am not in a bubble at all at the moment - I had joined with my younger daughter right at the start of all this, as the elder daughter needed to join up with a family who's mum had just committed suicide. That was all fine and dandy, until we were told that all bubbles were temporarily suspended... I could, however, link with someone local as I live on my own - so two of us linked, then the lady's grandchild needed her for mental health support - so that was out, too. What it all means is that I have seen my whole family on 2 occasions since last February - both fantastic days... but we tend to all meet up much more regularly than that under normal circumstances. Oh well - we phone, whatsapp, text, and can now Zoom!
Hope you get the weather you need! I would dearly love it to snow heavily here - pigs might fly, I suppose - but I am only 200yards from the beach as the crow flies!
Take care. God bless.

Well, that was a result being able to use your MiL’s folders and very pretty they are too! I do feel for folks who are on their own my eldest son is and he works from home, he’s hardly seen anyone.

It's amazing the price of some older craft supplies especially those that have been retired, I tell my hubby often that crafty stash is an investment heee hee. Great that you can borrow things from your MIL, the folders always look great when inked up. Have fun making pretty things with them.

Those folders create some lovely papers. It's handy when you can share stash with another family member! At least, that's what the rest of my family tell me... LOL
