Hunting Widow Weekends

This is the second weekend of Bow Season for deer in Oregon.
( two more weeks to-go after this) but,
for this particular long weekend hubs has taken his camper
and gone to commune with the nature.
So far all his "shots" are digital ones of the deer.
( and that's OK he is having a good time)

This previous Monday Sabrina had a challenge for a Screen Divider card, and I started this one, this base is actually the second one the first my die I tried for the top edge just cut it off the edge and I ended up with a tiny little stubby screen base, so after looking at every single border punch I have ( only a hand full I chose this old SU one to use as an edge and paired it with a Simon Says Stamp Corbel border die to do the lacy part. That puffy heart is from Making Memories and the sending love is from Hero Arts. When this card is tied up and closed it fits inside an A-2 envelope.

What the screen looks like open the blank panel with the photo corners I can get an Instamax snapshot in that spot, I just need to get Grace to hold still for a mug shot for it. The sentiment on the left is from Penny Black, the tree was done with scraps and is from Taylored Expressions ( trim the tree die) and the Merry Christmas on the right was a gift from June the set mfg says ArtC on it but, I am not sure who makes it.

A couple of Saturday's ago the Inspiration Challenge went to the fitbit blog store site and they had this page of "badges" and one of them ( you really have to scroll way way down to see this) was for if you climbed 200 flights of stairs in one day you could have this castle in the clouds and I have this MFT castle die ( which turned out to be way too big for this scene to use like this ) but, I scattered some of the people and critters I had colored way back when this set first landed in my mailbox into a "mountain" scene.

The were colored with polychromo's pencils and cut with scissors. the sentiment the top line is from Impression Obsession and the bottom line is from the same once upon a time set as the girl. The other stamp set is called Knight in shining armor.

Yesterday the Inspiration challenge went to the Moleskin ( journals & notebooks site) and I found this Peter Pan quote one and thought ok you can do that pretty easily...

the green streaks in the notebook turned into green blobs on watercolor paper but, that's OK. the reverse constellation stamp ( hero arts) was inked with ocean oxide on the misti and spritzed with water before stamping and then it was over stamped with some broken china, the arrow ( Club Scrap Adirondack greetings) & the quote ( Impression Obsession) were stamped originally with some Versafine ( the lagoon blue one) but it didn't pop very well so, it was all over stamped with black and then some glitter gel pens were added over the top to the arrow and the ampersand. Some of the "stars" in the background have clear wink of stella on them also. So, the smooth stamped panel is up on foam tape over the watercolored background.

Today's featured stamper is Chris Smith who has so many inspiring things in here gallery, I really really loved the colors of this one but, kept looking and finally decided on This one in the end for a quick card and for changes I did eliminate some layers and switched from brayer-ing color to the scene to a quick little faux water coloring.

Wow! You've been on a roll. Love that screen card and that tree die you used on it.
