Burberry Snow
On Saturday the Inspiration challenge headed to a site for bags and shoes and fripperies for women. and all the plaid Burberry bags caught my eye. ( Can I see my self using a plaid purse? um, no. but, the colors stuck with me in the back of my mind) and I thought that would make a good Christmas card... and then I started poking around in the piles of things I have partially made over time. and I came across four of these snowmen that were recollections printed sheet music that had been sprayed with gold shimmer spray and edged with some gold krylon leafing pen and set aside. (last year the other shapes were finished off into simple tags seen here)
This Snowman and Hat are from a sizzix die that does those two pieces and the hat was cut from some PTI wool felt, I used some redliner tape to adhere the ribbon to it. The eyes are brads and the scarf is wired plaid ribbon that I just twisted it off to the side of the neck to have it stay put. The size 8 shipping tags are some Tim Holtz ones that were run through the cuttlebug folder. The ribbon in the tag is from Micheals. The arms were diecut from an echo park die set where the snowman had arms and the stars were cut from some red stardream shimmer card with a My Favorite things pierced star die. And as soon as they were done I started thinking this is very much an Anna Wight fan girl copy.
(you can see her original snowman ornaments here)
I did find 4 snowman that had been cut and sprayed in that baggie and the plaid ribbon scrap was only long enough for 3 of them, So the fourth received a piece of May Arts ribbon tied in a knot and then I added a diecut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp to his belly and just did a simple A-2 card with him.
A closer look at the snowman.
