Mixed Nesting

The Mixed Media challenge this week was to use an bag to create your background. so this soft sky was run through some stormy sky & tumbled glass distress inks and white acrylic paint via an crumpled plastic bag and an dry brush. the "nest" is an combination of vintage laces, crumpled seam binding, and may arts burlap string. done in an rolled flower type effect.

Those brads, one I got all the way through the mess and the tag to fasten to the back but, the other two were not going through all the layers so I snipped off the backs of them and they are just floating on the fibers with glue dots. there is also an layer of pop dots on the right side of the tag to counterweight the height of the corrugated paper.

So, this card was also totally inspired by these tags I found in today's featured stampers gallery I love these gifts that Diana made and I had been mildly torn between this and this card that has just a brilliant design, so this is kinda an inspired by both of them card. this is 5 1/2" in real life.
