Well, when I got home from work yesterday, the desk looked exactly like it did when you seen it a week ago. What a thing to say out loud eh? So, I decided to clean and then because, hubs was under the floor doing the last of the insulation that could not go in until all the pipes/elect wires were done I ended up messing around with a couple of Dare to get Dirty samples. ( and yes, I had red fingers after) so, it really was a "dirty" project ;)
If you'd like to play along the link up starts here at Miss Julia's blog where people share what they are pushing around (or not) in their creative spaces. the Iris card I mentioned last week is in the post below this one.
on the remodel, I got all the painting done in the kitchen & pantry over the weekend but, home depot ran out of the base they are using to mix the paint I picked out ( an eggshell finish one with the primer in the paint) so, when they get more paint ( tomorrow) I get to finish the media room (where the window seat and built in book shelves will go and the rest of the hallway. the hardie board (for under the tile) will start going into the kitchen tomorrow-ish.

Hi Stacy, I'm staggered you find time for anything other than work and redecorating your home. It must have been fun to have a bit of time to just mess around with a 'dirty' craft project. The iris card is gorgeous. Hope the week ahead is a very good one. Elizabeth x #37
Hi Stacy, It seems that things are moving onwith the renovations even with the paint hiccough. I love painty fingers. It's my favourite way of creating a background. Happy WOYWW Sarah #8
A window seat and bookshelves?! Sounds like a little piece of heaven to me :) I hope your paint is mixed and ready soon.
Have a great Wednes-YAY!

Sounds like you've been busy painting just not in the craft space. LOL. April #32
Stacy, it is amazing that you are working at painting the kitchen and find time to play. In another time i painted the kitchen and know how it saps your energy. It is one of those tasks that does give endless pleasure.
Hope the paint comes in and you can finish and enjoy the result of your labors.

Happy WOYWW. One thing I avoid now is painting walls/ceilings etc - just too tiring for me to have my arms raised. It reminds me that we need to get our decorator back in soon, as there are some cracks and patches from when we originally renovated the farmhouse (which will be 4 years next month!). Ali x #29
I think you've done really well to get anything done at the desk with all the other things you've got on. Loving your busy desk, makes me feel right at home. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x14x
Dare to Get Dirty sounds like a lot of fun! Great to have some home projects almost done. Have a great week! Dorlene #42
Oh, I couldn't get past 'window seat' and 'bookshelves'! I'd never move out of that room, lol!! Hope it's all going well :-D
Hugs, LLJ 11 xx
I chuckle at the "dare to get dirty" - I can't help but get dirty every time I make something! Thanks for your earlier visit, nice to have a fellow poppy-lover! Lindart #41

Sorry I'm late visiting. My internet was down for nearly two days, but I'm back now. I've lived through renovations that I created, and I am happy to say I won't be doing that again for awhile. I look forward to seeing the dirty stuff you create and the completion of your remodel, too. Happy belated WOYWW from #5.
Fabulous post,
Sorry for the delay in commenting, laptop trouble. It's died on me and I'm in a bit of a flap.
On a positive note, my Dear Husband plans to buy a replacement for me.
