Happy desk peeking day! if you'd like to play along with us,
the link up starts here at our hostess Miss Julia's Blog.
So, on monday I struggled to complete some Easter cards very CAS ones ( see previous post for the close up shot) and went down for the count with a migraine. so, things have "piled" up.
( I am good today YAY maybe I will get something done after work)
now then this is the what's coming next ( I think ) there is a coffee lover's blog hop coming up at the end of this week. and last Saturday Audrie hosted an Inspiration challenge that goes to a pinterest board of "tea bag art" so, the art had been created on used tea bags... and I looked at that and thought hunh, how interesting is that, second thought was I have not had bagged tea in a long time. ( its a only when I am really sick and have a scratchy throat thing for me) and then I started thinking well what if you just rinsed off coffee filters and let them dry... and so I did, so Monday I had an email with the Verve sketch and I remembered I had this little set of stamps from them that I picked up during the last two or three coffee hops ( I lose track of the time) and thought what if... so, that's the plan. the other print out was the piece I was going to use to be "inspired" by from that challenge. the only thing is I am debating if I want to cut the filters into a tea bag "shape" or not lol.
So, off to the right I seen last weekend there is a VSN coming soon to SCS and one of the things on the "shopping list" is animal images and in my to be colored pile of images I hauled to work I have some Christmas/ Winter ones so, I did a couple of those with some limited supplies (to me 20 colors is extreme limited as far as choice goes) Caran D'ache Luminance colored pencils. I will have to play with these some more, but so far so good. the lead is more sturdy than prisma pencils and I can get the cross hatching to actually show and what not but, I think that for me to do animal images I will most likely need way more colors. So, I am probably going to mix these pencils into the "general population" of my prisma's and such haha. oh, that pink marker is there because, I need to remember to buy a new one, its dry. so, that's about it for this morning. thanks for stopping by!

What a FUN peek at your workdesk and lots of projects! Glad the migraine is gone; seems like lots of deskers this week have been feeling bad . . . wonder if it's the spring weather blowing in.

Glad to hear you've recovered from the migraine. Your desk looks busy and it seems a good idea to colour images in advance. I'm afraid I'm just not that organised and usually end up colouring as needed. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #30

Sounds like a busy, busy desk. I've been stamping images in hopes of colouring them. I want them ready to go when the mood strikes lol.

I've been doing the 30 day color challenge too. I find coloring so stress relieving.

Hi Stacy, colouring is one thing I'm not confident with, and keep putting off spending some time on practice! Love the coffee filter idea, and the 'what if' train of thought. Get some lovely surprise results with all sorts of things that way. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxXx
Oh sorry you had a migraine, they are really awful - glad you're better now. And great idea to use the coffee filter rather than a tea bag, they're more or less the same paper aren't they? Your Easter stuff is sweet too!

Hope you are fully recovered from the migraine. I'd have to go and buy coffee filters as my coffee machine has a reusable one. T bags would be mini works of art! Sarah #26
