VSN Up to Snowgood Continued

My usual to type these kinds of challenge cards up is to have the challenge it self open in another tab and go back and forth, so I will have to edit this blog post later for links and such. This one was done for Alison's DEC13VSNK Mischievous animals (think the creepy elf on a shelf stuff) type theme. This one is A-6 in real life, the Penny Black dog ( dashing) was colored with Copic's and cut out with an Spellbinders wonky reverse die. the ribbon is unknown  and the sentiment's from Hero Arts. The stripe pp is from Bo Bunny and the green is Pear Pizzazz.

Now this one was done for Sabrina's snowglobe challenge DEC13VSNE. and except for the circle die, this card shape was done free hand after just peeking at the photos of the tutorial. did not measure a thing. one thing I learned is, plastic is a dust magnet and another thing I learned is, Stayzon dries up... ( I have a cotton white pad but, its hard as a rock) so, one thing I did differently with this challenge is I used some dress it up snowflake buttons on the outside of the clear packaging circle in place of the stamped snow.

I don't know if you can see the top globe is clear plastic but, you can see the dust if you look at the dark deer's body haha. I used a gel pen for the deer's eyes.

an angled view. the sentiment is from Unity Stamps done on some Neenah diecut with an labels trio die, the sheer swiss dots ribbon is from May Arts as is the string. the deer are from Sizzix in the "mini" movers and shapers line from Tim Holtz. The stripe pp is from K&Co. the snow is two layers with some crystal stickles on the edges. the base flap is Kraft. I did add a second layer of Kraft to the backside of the stripe pp base for stability.

This was done for DEC13VSNI which was stay warm. the thing with me is I play with what ever is in front of me and all the snowflake-y things below were made before this one... I upload them trying to mix up the colors a little rather than putting them into a chronological order. The pp is from basic grey ( you remember the ugly sweater pad from a few years ago?) that one. the base is Kraft ( cut twice so the stitching mess is hidden) this Large Mitten die is from A Muse Studio's. the snowflakes are from Sizzix the snowflake Layered. The button is vintage as is the kraft colored lace. the sheer ribbon is unknown. the string is from May Arts. the sentiments from SU I think ( maybe like it a latte ) but, not certain about that. this sentiment was stamped and diecut a long time ago from scraps.

This one was done for Mary's flurries challenge DEC13VSNG. It's A-6 in real life, the snowman is heat embossed with seafoam white on the kraft, the dry embossed snow is an Sizzix folder. the snowflake pp is from Basic Grey. The brads are from MM and the sentiment was cut with an justrite spellbinders tag die. the string is scrappers floss. That stripe pp is from K& Co.

Now then this was done for DEC13VSNB ( which was to do a naughty card) and there was even a reference to the bombshells of which I do not own any of those but, it jogged a memory that I have this one from Stamps Happen. ( and my own thought is all the dolly mama's look like drag queens) so, that is how I tend to color them ( garish ) this was colored with copic's and glitter gel pens.

It's 5X7 in real life, the base is Real red, the black burlap string is from May Arts, the button is vintage, the green grid pp is unknown, the gal was stamped on Neenah and that panel is up on pop dots. The diamond pp is from Authentique.

Now this is the first of two altered snow tags.. I am not exactly sure what the challenge was but, the impression I had in my head was to build a snowflake and alter it... so, after I was done with this one ( which I like ) I decided it was not exactly what she was looking for and made the second one below ( on the ornament shape) with more lumps and bumps.
now this one is on an previously stained ( vintage photo) shipping tag that I trimmed the bottom off of to make it smaller. the snowflake is cut from PTI felt. with an Sizzix Snowflake Layered die. the sentiment is from Savvy Stamps diecut with an spellbinders justrite tag die, the burlap string is May Arts and the button is vintage. The crinkled silk ribbon is unknown and the stitched ribbon is May Arts. For DEC13VSNC.

This one was done for Lydia's one layer with bling streaking challenge DEC13VSNL the Penny Black winter glow and the Hero Arts sentiment were both stamped with versamark and heat embossed with SU white powder. for a Chalkboard look, the white chalk smeared around is also from SU. the bling is Queen & Co. goosebumps. I did line the inside as this red base was a premade purchased card and its thin. Its 5 1/2" square in real life.

This was done for Lee's colored snow challenge DEC13VSNH. ( from scraps on the table) I did not have to do anything to this except cut the ribbon and glue. so this was like a 12 minute tag. the writing this and shooting it and editing the photo took longer. The smallest kraft snow was done with an Martha Stewart hand held punch, the blue snow under that was done with an Memory Box Lindeman Snowflake die. the kraft snow under that is from the Sizziz layered snowflake die, the embossing on the brown panel was done with an SU folder. the tag it self was cut from an PTI tag sale 4 die. the ribbon is from Martha Stewart and the button is SU with some burlap string through it.

My second attempt on DEC13VSNC's altered snow challenge, this one uses an Spellbinders ornament die ( the largest one) for its base shape. the largest snowflake diecut on this ( music paper ) is from the sizzix #2 snowflake die, the snowflakes above that are from the layered snowflake die, there are pop dots in here and also some Kaiser pearls. The center is a vintage button with some iridescent cord from May arts. as is the gingham ribbon. so, this leaves me with 3 left to go to complete them all.
