Winter Snuggles { August #6}

This is ( if i counted right ) 6 for August. the Penny Black "winter snuggles" is stamped on Neenah and colored with copic markers. Most the pp is from DCWV the one that looks like criss crossed lines is very blingy in real life. been debating about adding some stickles or something blingy to the image. the base is bazzill. the sentiments from SU. (cut it out with scissors) punched holes in the scallops and layered it to some fancy tags diecuts done from scraps. there are some tiny recollections pearls on the sentiment panel and that pleated satin ribbon is from May Arts and I found it in the paper and such online store. this is 6" square in real life. tfl.

a simple wish

tossed this together really quick for J to use as a birthday card for Becca today. the inside has the well scripted SU sentiment in side. its 4" square in real life, the sentiments from A Muse. would have to find the paper pad to remember who makes the pp. but, the blue is GKD ocean mist.

Poppy Fairy

This was done with huge thanks to bspinks! ( Becky gifted me with this stamp!) (Thanks so Much!!) She's stamped with memento on Neenah and colored with copic markers. added a bit of stardust pen in a few places but, its not visible in this shot/angle. the hemming lace is vintage. Mini brads from recollections. the sentiments from Impression Obsession, die cut it with an spellbinders tag die then trimmed it with scissors. the pp is from creative imaginations. You'll probably be seeing more of her soon, as Hubs has informed me I colored her wrong... she's really a red head with perhaps a green dress... ( insert a smiley rolling its eyes here)

Smooshed Pearls

a very long time ago bottomphish {Thanks Debi} was kind enough to gift me with a few of these lockhart aprons, I've colored most of them and paperpieced some too so far. and last weekend one became a card... and the thing I learned doing this one was. If you make the decision to die cut a image that is colored and already has recollections pearls on it, your cuttlebug machine will smoosh them flat... the gingham pp on the apron is unknown, the pinkish/red pp is DCWV i *think*, the red base is bazzill. the pink sentiment ( IO ) is on one of those newer SU pinks (an in color i think) that ribbon came from walmart years ago thinking it may have been one of the wrights one that they cut for you in the fabric section.

Good Luck

Edited to add: this card was voted as ended up "princess of the week"
This uses the color combo (red,kraft,blue) challenge from the paper and such store's blog ( there is a few days left of this is your gonna be playing with patriotic colors soon) This Penny Black hedgie is either an PIF or an Wish Rak image (and best guess is I got it from Carrie) but, I colored it a long time ago with prisma pencils and i dont remember more then that anymore... sorry. the Sentiments from Stamping Bella and the lace and button are vintage. ran the Speckletone Oatmeal coversheet through an cuttlebug folder ( think it could possibly be one of those OhMyCrafts ones ( It has no sticker label on it ~ I made them for the ones that i "knew" the folders name) at any rate its an 5X7 sized folder. the Paisley background is from SU done with Night of Navy ink on white cs. The red stripe pp is from Flair designs and the ladder fiber is unknown. this ones 6" square in real life.

Birds Nest

Imogene sent me a few images of this stamp ( redlead artist trading card walking through the woods) to see what I'd do with it, this one was originally stamped in brown ink on cream cardstock so it has some distress inks ( ranger bundled sage & tumbled glass) color dusted along the edges and then I added just a bit of prisma pencil to the birds. this was die cut with an spellbinders label 17 die. the edges have some colorbox fluid chalk ink ( creamy brown of course) dragged along the edge. thought about matting it with a dark brown cardstock but, the next size up label is way too much for a slim layer. seen this sage speckletone colorbok scrap and thought oh that's nearly the same color as the distress inks combined, found this leafy background paper in the bin ( thinking its basic grey because its one sided but, it could also be webster's pages too (not sure anymore) the spellbinders heartfelt creations window die was done on a piece of shimmery die cuts with a view bronze-ish type paper, the sentiments from A Muse ( one of the old wood mounted style ones) the pearls, lace and mini brad are all from recollections. card base is textured bazzill, my fabulous mother in law made the crochet bloom. thinking that button is a "dress it up?" button ( had it for years don't remember anymore) the chocolate hemp string was found at walmart and *gasp* mine does not have it anymore.. ( and I'm almost out) the punchie along the bottom of the bird image panel is an martha stewart border one ( and they don't have names on the side) but, I haven't play with it before and it looked OK with the swirls peeking out from the window frame. the chocolate chip layer was cut with a spellbinders labels 20 die. the sentiment was done with an labels trio die. ( need to remember to suggest that to A Muse people... they need that die set in their catalog since so many of their sentiments fit on them) :)
