Happy thoughts
so, yesterday i had to make the trip over to get dry ice for the shop and i noticed that the aspen trees in the mountains ( that i drove through) its a pretty drive, are all starting to change colors. even sitting waiting for the pilot cars didn't "get me" the way they have in the past, kept Tim's stereo on the whole trip to this time ( even turned it up at one point and surprised my self)
so, i bought an CD at Costco yesterday and planning to play it in the player my ear will hook up to later this afternoon. ( haven't tried music in it yet)
but, the fun-nest part of today so far has been got carded buying a bottle of wine at the grocery store on the way home from work...
( can you see the ear to ear grin?) Cute guy (almost my age did it too) hahahaha
hope your having a good day too!

some from this afternoon
I have had a need for simple note cards for at least a month now. the people coming into the rak group and wish rak are coming faster it seems every time i turn around... so i went upstairs to assemble a few from my colored images tin these are A-2 in real life. Sketched tulip row is from Club Scrap and the sentiments from Savvy Stamps.
PSX bucket of tulips, sentiments from Savvy Stamps, ribbon is MM textured cream and green are bazzill and the mauve (5X7) cardbase is from Neenah Papers.
Latte bella is matted with PTI aqua mist cs the pp is from the scrap bin and the ric rac is unknown. the green (a-2) cardbase is from Bazzill. Sentiments from Savvy Stamps.
Giraffe pair is from Great Impressions, there is some cognac Palette ink sponged on the edges. ( got more sponges recently and have started doing that again it really puts alot more ink on the edge then the judi kins stipple brushes do. rust mat is su, the textured cream paper is from Provo craft the cardbase is a premade one from dmd industries. Sentiments from A Muse. these are A-2 in real life too.
some where in my brain decided that that was enough small cards and then i did this one, the mostly red dotted paper (big mat) is from My Minds Eye, the tiny printed gingham strip is from Daisy D's. the sentiments from SU and punched with an word window punch. this ones 5X7 in real life.
Now this will become a treat bag topper. ( You'll just have to use your imagination... if i had candy in this house i would be the second most likely person to eat it all so i don't usually buy the treats until really close to the time to give them away) this witch is from Hero Arts and I had stamped three of these a few weeks ago and coloring this one was what decided me to heave her into the for sale pile, this topper is half of a quarter sheet of cardstock in real life. (teeny tiny) anyways, hope your having a good weekend too!

So far on world card making day...
I've had it in the back of my mind to try this ever since the first time i seen the high hopes sea floor background... ( wasn't sure the sizes would work. since that mermaids from Eureka! stamps) the mermaids on 1/16 su pop dots and the HH starfish is on an 1/8 pop dot. this is a close up look at the detailing...
This has some Mediterranean tide (fresco chalk ink) sponged along the edges of the soft sky mat. the whole card is 5 1/2" square in real life. mostly colored with prisma pencils. the aqua trim is vintage (ufo) the orange cs is Tangerine Tango and the blue is Pacific Point. The more i look at this the more i really want to rip it apart and layer it to a more subdue background card stocks and then again i did color it kinda bright. ( this is a really "not me" card for the most part i like it.)
I colored this image and the witch below last night knowing i needed two more holiday cards for Oct. (whew!) done. the holly and berries pp is from Bo Bunny Press it and the gp 110 both have old paper distress ink color dusted along the edges the textured green is from Bazzill the ribbon is unknown. the sentiment (SU all holidays) is stamped with versafine Olympia green on river rock and matted with old olive. This is 5X7 in real life.
This cute witch came to me via wish rak from Linda Palmer ( Thanks Linda) i wanted to do something "different" so she's colored more like a little girl playing dress up then so seriously spooky i guess. the cardbase is purely pomegranate and the Moroccan floral - eggplant printed paper is from Daisy D's the mat directly under the image is one of the Paper trey ink purple colors that came to me via wishrak also (don't remember the name or who sent it sorry) the metal cat charm is from MM. The ribbon came from the bolt cutting counter at joanns fabrics years ago. The sentiments from Savvy Stamps. This one is 4 1/2X6 in real life.
I just got this stamp set Pocket Silhouettes the other day... and so i was just messing around with scraps on the table. its stamped with Adirondack earth tones "espresso" on real rust ( as is the A Muse sentiment that was punched with an word window punch) the lasting Impressions "pumpkin" mini brad is nearly a perfect match for my old real rust card stock. the new pack i have is a slightly different color (lighter) guess the dye-lots vary from pack to pack over the years. Ive noticed it before but i prefer this older richer colored pack then my new one. this is A-2 in size the darker blue is not quite navy and the cardbase is soft sky. the ribbons unknown.
this is the last thing i have done today and for such a simple card it took the longest. was just messing around stamping the dill weed looking flower on some scraps of yellow (barely banana, so saffron, more mustard) with Palette cognac ink and then decided to make them rectangles with one of the smaller sized long rectangles ... these are sewn to a scrap of printed paper that was cut off straight along the bottom with the paper trimmer then i cut away the edges of the pp from the top half with scissors after it was sewn. those are doodle bug mini brads and this one is 5X7 in real life too.
My mouse pad...
this is the pad that sits on my office desk... and no I'm not at work today but, DH had to run down there to look for a fitting and i said you know this is a silly thing but there is a game of chance today where you can be entered to win something if you post a photo of your mouse pad... he said you want me to open up the whole office and take a photo of your mouse pad??? i said unless its just too silly. so he took the camera and did it... aawww! ( yes, i know he's a keeper)
you can enter this for your self at this post today on the lime light papercrafts blog

more halloween...
This i love this, its so totally everything Halloween to me. mostly because my son was so into Dinosaurs... that was his "thing" for many many years, still likes them but at 12 has found other things ( electronic things...) lol but, this to me is just would make a really cool page element for a scrapbook too. may use one of the other images for that. this house mouse is named Dino treats and came to me via the PIF image swaps thread from Idreamincolor. ( Thanks Lori! I'm stalkin your list for more of these guys!) its colored with prisma pencils there is some cognac palette ink sponged on the edges. the dotted pp is from creative imaginations. the mulberry is an ufo, the card base is really rust and measures out at 4 1/2 x 6 in real life.
Now these cute hedgehogs are from Wish Rak and were granted to me by afancycat Thanks Julie! they are colored with prisma pencils and lined a bit with an stardust gelly roll glaze pen. this I trimmed the square nestie a bit to give the eggplant mat more visibility the dotted pp is from Creative imaginations, the orangeish yellow is from PTI. (and also wishrak) the green textured cardstock is from Bazzill and the ribbon is unknown. Sentiments from the SU (all holidays) this is 5" Square in real life.
Let me say this card does not exist anymore... i did it last (last night) and its crooked, and the more i looked at it the more i hated that i had a brad through the pp so i could not fix this... and i tore it apart today and made the card below.
This image (Penny Black Night things) came to me via wish rak from Shellyrmn Thanks Shelly! its colored with prisma pencils, the boo to you is an dollar stamp from either M's or J's last year or the year before, the mulberry is unknown, the mini brads are from Creative Impressions and the 5X7 cardbase is Bazzill. so, its more simple but i like the lay out of this one better the crooked is not a bad thing when its intentional, but this is why you are not supposed to do this during wine thirty.. :)have a good weekend! we will be having one of J's new friends having a sleep over... ( oh joy hahaha) :)
Halloween cards
Peddlers Pack jack-o-lantern background done in palette cognac and colored with prisma pencils. crackle pp (don't remember) H I (are letter stickers) the swirly organdy ribbon is also an (unidentifiable one for me... never remember by the time i get it home from the store) I think i will just start calling all that stuff UFO or your guess is as good as mine... ;)
cardbase is mellow moss.
Vintage PSX witchy bear colored with prisma pencils. this one makes me dizy when i look at it too long, (too much tilt going on may tear this one apart) ribbons May Arts, green swirl pp is from one of those K & Co walmart packs they had a few years ago. the purple is SU. Sentiments from Karen Lockhart stamps.
This is an whippersnapper image ( Hitchin' a ride) that came to me via the pif threads from Suzanne( Thanks so much!) had a blast coloring her) the sentiments from Great Impressions, ribbon is may arts, the orange brads are UFO, the purple (larger then 3/16) eyelets are clothing ones from dritz. this is 5X7 in real life.
Found this wizard at a yard sale a few months ago and i had to laugh, think he's had yours and my caffeine intake for the week... the old olive cs was run through an cuttlebug branches folder. the skeleton leaves were found in the "fall" holiday decorations isle at wally world a few years ago. the textured cardstocks are bazzill and this is 6 inches square in real life.
Stampendous Pumpkin Pals is something i borrowed from my mil a while back the sentiments from SU (all holidays) the prima leaves were an rak from Stampin' Meg ( i have been hoarding these like you wouldn't believe since i still have not come across the leaves in a store yet) :) the dotted pp is from Creative imaginations., the ribbon is that new su (in color green) (this years)
these are from a few days ago... have a few more done but, some need photos and some photos are still in the camera... :)
