{a catch up post}

On friday I had some time to play with these lawn fawn stitched snowflake dies that came in the mail. This one is 3 1/2" square in real life.

these are all 3" square

thinking this one is either 3 1/2 or 4" the stitched frame was done with an simon says stamp die, they are kinda different as the stitching is on both edges.

I had worked on starting a new basket of little 3" cards to take down to the tashi soap. co. store ( they are going to carry these in there ) and so,

I also made some for me to use.

this snowman is  heat embossed in white powder.

just some simple ones from scraps.

and again.

this one was done for my sil birthday last month, the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Playing with the stitched frame dies from simon says stamp. the sentiment is from SU.

This was done as last sunday's featured stamper case from Nancy's gallery seen here. I so love the colors and textures mix of her card. and trying to recreate something with those bitty punchie sprays gives me an even higher appreciation for people who can create cool stuff from punchies. (and dies) the book page was sprayed with some seafoam heidi swapp color shine and some distress bundled sage. then the white is snow-tex. and my tiny little jar of snow-tex is starting to turn into a brick so, I could not use a brush to dab it on this version and I used my finger to smear it which made it pretty flat and a little bigger than I wanted it to be. so, now I am thinking I need to use up some more of it on something before the whole jar goes bad. ( good thing its a small bottle and fairly cheap)

These four were done when I went upstairs to clean up the mess from making the above card. they are a little more simple though, I did not spray the book spray or add on the snow-tex to the book page and the lace is skinnier but, still vintage. the smaller ones are 5 1/2" square and the larger ones are 6". the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs, and the large pine sprig is from Hero Arts.

If your wondering why the mess is on display, head over to Julia's blog and read all the details on how you can play along.

so, these are tuesday night after work views under the artificial lights ( again ) I have not cleaned up all the way from all the last minute booth things I made but, I had killed some time in a craft store ( 80 miles from my house ) on tuesday waiting for Costco to finish printing photos...

what followed me home was some red & gray fancy pants corrugated papers ( 5 for a dollar GASP) and some brown, ( have not cut into that yet) and this MME red gingham papers... the deer and stocking were already made and just waiting to be used.

Just some different angles. all of these desk shots were taken with my cell phone.

the deer is an Sizzix die cut, I did rub some vintage photo distress ink onto this. the sentiment is an Unity Stamps one.

The stocking (SU) is heat embossed with SU white on Kraft and the Joy is from Stampendous, and that wood stamp... that is from Gina K designs and stamped on the inside of this one. the lace is vintage.

This one the hearts are die cut with the primitive Sizzix die from some recollections paper I had sprayed with Gold Heidi Swapp color shine last week. the edges were lined with a krylon paint pen. but, the Cool thing on this is the dymo label LOVE sentiment... mine disappeared over a year ago and I have not found it yet. ( and since I kept it in a bucked on the table with deco scissors its kinda a Hmmm, thing) ( makes me wonder if I lent it to someone and then forgot ) So, the part that makes that cool is... I have been searching for a new one for some time now and am always told they don't make it anymore... they have them on Amazon if you need one. This one is only 5 1/2" square in real life.

Sunday's Cards

this was actually my third attempt at an Featured Stamper case this last sunday from Cheryl's gallery seen here.  This one is 6" square in real life, the sheet music and chipboard snowflake were sprayed with some colorshine sprays and the large scallop border die is from PTI. The sentiment is from Impress and the stamped snowflake is from Hero Arts.

this was attempt #2. its A-7 in real life, tried making it with smaller scallops as I had this A Muse scrap on the table.

This was the first try, the sled is from Prickley Pear rubber stamps and I colored this a very long time ago. the sentiment I have to look up because, I have forgotten. I really was not thrilled with this one at all so, that is why the second and finally third one were done. this one happens to be 6" square in real life. ( and it becomes card number one for next years booth lol)

Shepherd's Market {2014}

Friday AM (all of these shots were taken with my phone) I didn't bring my camera to the set up Thursday night. and I forgot on Friday am...

wasn't really sure how clear these would turn out. and had intended to look at the photos on friday night in a computer but, never got around to it.

before I went Friday am I did a pit stop at dutch brothers... in case you cannot see it that lid proclaims best day ever. and funny true story. this year I DID sell more on Friday than on Saturday.

Saturday AM I was up at 4:30. ( it was like that all week long but, this day I got up and started making more tags) so, everything was done from things on the table.

these stockings were heat embossed and cut out a long time ago.

this finished off the dyed/stained tags I had on my table. these are size 8 tags in real life. with PTI die cuts on them. ( had sold all of these on friday) and after that I did 8 more 3" cards that looked just like the ones that went into the donated raffle snowman hat I showed you last week.

results, well it was slow on Saturday AM so, I did not do as well money wise as in previous years. ( its OK ) I also was able to rent both sides of the hallway for next year ( for 10.00 more) so that was a relief. ( the hallway is not really wide enough for two different vendors to work it at the same time, the school also added a large glass display case for trophy's in one half of the other side of the hallway too)

Prepping Continues

these baskets are on the coffee table upstairs, We set up the booth tonight.

just a different shot same stuff.

A peek inside the winter / Christmas suitcase.

two more suitcases plus more baskets.

made this gift card holder after the sheet music tags but, it wasn't the same and never got around to posting the mug shot. ( this is a sizzix die)

now, this I am not really sure about what I want to do with it... was thinking about using them as a gift with a purchase type thing. thanks for your purchase. but, a lot of people who come by the booth and buy they do not make their own cards... was thinking it would be easy enough for people to stamp or write a name on the blank parts of the tickets. there are 24 of them in side the wrappers. ( I originally bought these bags to hold the peppermint patty candies with toppers but, I don't for the most part alter food things for this booth so, this was just an idea to use up some of these bags and tickets)

WOYWW #285 {Prepping}

Good Morning it's Wednesday, so you know what that means the mess is on display. If you'd like to play along with this blog hop it starts at the hostess Julia's blog where you can find the details here

bright and early tuesday AM I started sewing the fabric curtian panels for the screen walls of the booth. ( I will have 16 total screens now up from the original 8) so, this was done in the kitchen as there is some good day light in there ( until about 2 PM ) so, I have 4 more to finish this morning before I head to work.

These are the "raffle gift prize" cards every vendor has one raffle prize donated to the school as part of their fund raising efforts. So, I found these wooden ornaments at M's with 12 in the package... lol they are 4 of 3 each different sizes. ( which I did not notice until I cut them open) so, I started out with this 8 matching size tags (3" square Hero Arts sentiments) and

Funny true story the glue dots rolled on the back side of these ornaments did not want to stick to the plain wood ones but, the glue sticks really well to the glitter covered ones ( go figure eh?)

When I was done packaging the 8 tags ( found this cute snowman hat shaped basket at M's to hold them) it had room for 4 more so, I went back to M's and picked up a second package of the snowflakes because, I never give them less than 12 gift tags but, this is the first time I have ever made them a "matched" set. (usually its a random assortment)
on Thursday night the booth set's up. will have more mug shots later this evening I think of basket views and such.
