Shepherds Market Spring Faire Edition...

The spinner rack is the new edition this go-around at the school. Hub's has purchased the rebar to make make more walls for me ( hopefully before next Oct. so, I have time to sew the fabric panels before November ha ha ) 

If you click on these photos to enlarge them they will most likely pix-elate. these were shot hand holding it in a fairly dark hallway early Friday AM before it opened. So far that sunflower cone was the first ( and only cone sold) and I *almost* did not bring that because, its not a "spring" flower. 

I did re-arrange some of the hanging things before it opened also. 

It seemed like a very small display to me because, its only been 3 months since Nov. and although I had made over 200 new things since then, its hard to see that when you get used to a big once a year display.

The basket on the top is holding pop up gift card holders and those are going over well today so far.

A Surprise Lamb # 3

Now the surprise is Mary's Little Lamb ( from last January ) did NOT look PG... and today she had a little girl lamb that is the same color as her g-ma. (Mary) you know little lambs mom got her name for having this one first last year. ( Mary had a little lamb) lol ( it's a Hubs thing) 

as shaky as she was, we were guessing she was maybe 2 or 3 hours old when we got home from work today

So, this means we are still watching that other ( last ) sheep ( she with a bump on her nose or AKA Dodge Jr.s mom to have her lamb) now, she has looked ready for 2 weeks now. ( go figure) 

Blue white washed flowers

a closer look at the painting on this bloom. done in the faux white washing. The stamp is from Impress called "Open Poppy" they have a solid version too for people who like to double stamp or not color...

both this card and the one below are 5 1/2" square and headed to the booth this weekend. the sentiment on this one is from Gina K. the lace is vintage, the pp is unknown.

This one the labels 2 diecut is a scrap from a birthday card ( posting tomorrow ) and the sentiment is from Hero Arts, this one the bloom is also up on pop dots and the sheer ribbon is unknown. 

What's on your Work Desk Wednesday #248

G'morning, so it looks like this today so far ( my desk) It looks like some of the white embossed scraps have been cut out by hand and some of the other lose scraps were being pushed around for possibilities. I've also had some happy mail from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and Prickley Pear. The blue flowers were done with the faux white washing and I finally got around to stamping some bingo Jean images for the bases I had set aside a week ago but, they are in the house waiting to be colored. Faux White Washing

This weeks featured stamper is an hostess for the Try a New Technique challenge thread and her gallery was totally new to me but, I came across this card:  and was like Whoa, I have to try this, even though I don't have any white pigment inkpads at all from any co. ( I was too disappointed in the lack of coverage of all of them so I tossed them years ago) but, I found Jenn's original tutorial ( here) and it said you could use acrylic paint... so I was lucky enough to find an ancient separated bottle of white in the closet. ( I shook it forever haha) So anyways, all my open flower stamps that I found ( were too big to do the random floral thing on an A-2 sized card front I did try one and ended up cutting out all the whole blooms and using those. scroll down. 

the one on the left has one of the cut out ones on pop dots offset on the one in the corner and it is "off the box" of the card too. 

a closer look at that one, its headed to gma Mary for her birthday later this week. 

this one is headed to the booth next weekend. all of these the floral stamp is from Stampendous! called ruffled bloom. 

This huge daisy is from Savvy stamps. 

This sentiment is from Inkadinkado

two more cut out versions, these are 3 1/2" square in real life. 

what the table looked like when I called it done for the day. funny thing the tempting turquoise re-inker stained the plastic paint tray I have and that struck me funny because I would have expected the real red to stain if anything. 

 the blue blooms will get played with eventually I'm sure. this was a really fun thing to do which is a surprise because, I do not as a general rule enjoy waterpainting because of the lack of control I think the petals being heat embossed and raised up helped contain the water too.

Lamb #2

 

waddles ( that brown sheep on the left) had her baby (a boy) last night ( of course after dark silly)

 

we are planning to go to the grange later and see about some formula

and bottles for him just in case, last year the lamb waddles had passed away at 1 month old. so, not sure why.

 

 

He's really cute of course, and so there is still one more sheep to go.
