Shabby Chic Form

The current stamp tv Mix it Up monday challege is "shabby chic" *Ü* {insert a huge grin here} It seems like every time i turn around the designers at Gina K are make more and more "Me" stamps. So this was too much fun to do. These stamps are in the newest Stamp TV kit. The are stamped on Gina K Ivory ( base weight) cardstock with Versafine ink. and then they were die cut with one of the newer spellbinders dies ( minds blank fluer de square?) something like that... and so it was run through the bug 4 times as this is some of the best cream cardstock you can get. My fabulous mother in law made the crocheted flowers on this card, the lace is vintage. the iridescent cord is from May Arts. The gingham pp is an double sided one from Graphic 45 and the watercolor looking pp is from Basic Grey. the cardbase is Bazzill and this ones 6" square in real life. The tiny tag on the neck line is one of those (avery?) something office supply store jewelry tags thats been color dusted with distress ink. there are tea dye, antique linen and ( that newest palest pink inks all over this card and its layers)

VSN {continued}

Done for Lee's Beauty on the ocean floor challenge... Done for Beate's color combo challenge

VSN {so far}

What I came home to friday afternoon, spent hours cleaning ( had piles in the closet that has mostly been put away now too) so Saturday stole some time in between everything else to do a few of the VSN challenges under way at SCS... This was done for Tamijo's Cracked glass challenge. This was done for pattyb's use a map background challenge. This was done for Sandy's use alcohol ink, maybe not in a "traditional" way. ( this background was done on PTI vellum cardstock so its matte finished and the light passes through it. ( cool effect)

Ah New Rubber *Ü*

got the stamp tv spring kit in the mail on Thursday.. along with a pack of pink paisely butterfly garden pp. sweet... this paper is not glued to a pad, it came i a bag and the tv kit comes in a big ol box. cool I haven't actually bought one of these before, I usually wait for the stamps to be sold not in the kit. :) It came with lot of cardstock a stack of pp a lot of ribbon and a baggie of brads. ( besides the stamps.) at any rate I know a lot of people need graduation cards right now I've sold a couple i had left over from years ago and thought this could work for a girl... the sentiment and butterfly on the lower right stamped direct to the pp is from the spring silhouettes set and the mulberry flowers are mostly prima. the sentiment was stamped on a scrap of the same gkd cardstock as the base ( this is 5 1/2" square in real life. the green stitched ribbon is also from the spring kit, the sheer ribbon was tied in a know to mimic wings behind the sentiment which was die cut with an fancy tags 2 spellbinders die. the photo corners are from chatterbox. there are a few dew drops along the edges of the tag and its up on pop dots. there is also some fluid chalk ink ( amber clay) dragged along the edges.

Still got the Blues... {with some green on the side}

Just messing around, have tons of old jars that contain "stuffs" treasures from yard sales and such, so a lot of these jars are within reach of the table and make their way onto cards all the time. Just the cards, the Taylored Expression's image was colored with copic's along time ago when i first bought this set, die cut with an labels 2 die and up on pop dots. that 29th market street double sided pp is from My Minds Eye. those are real scrabble tiles and real fabric yo-yo's ( nah i didnt make them, found a big bag of them at a yard sale a few years ago and tossed them into one of the old canning jars) vintage and not so vintage buttons. May Arts burlap. the large card is 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" in real life, the gift tag ones are 3" square. Did this for an scs rak welcome card ( the large one ) the large flower is from Impress, the smaller one on the sides is from the SU set called Manhattan flower? ( something like that ) these were stamped with deep lagoon versafine with some tumbled glass distress color dusted along the edges. the note cards are 3 1/2" square in real life and just use some scraps from the bin and pre-stamped sentiments the just a note is Memory box & the just because is an Hampton arts dollar bin stamp.
