just for fun magenta butterfly flap image is stamped with India Ink Black then colored with copic's, Bic's and Sharpie Markers... little bleed through but not too bad, was impressed with how the markers did not smear the stamped image. ( which is good news if you are like me and too impatient for the pigment inks to dry...)
This is something i put together for the last color challenge i will host inside the stamp shack. can you really believe its been a whole year? to me this looks like one of those tin trays people buy at the holidays to give away their Christmas cookies on... :)
colors are red, yellow, black. which if this is not the first time you've seen this blog you already know i don't very often use bright colors or bold colors at all. so, this was fun to do something so "not me" and yet still it is. :)
Birds are from Inkadinkado, for you is from SU, the puffy heart is from MM, the yellow texture cs is from Provocraft, gingham is unknown, black scallop ribbon is from May Arts, mini brads are unknown, red premade sparkly cardbase is from dmd industries. this is a-2 in real life.

This is an wishrak image That came to me from Laurlynn ( Thanks Laurie!) it's colored with prisma pencils, (skin is prisma marker) the sentiments from the dollar bin at Michaels. the printed paper is from basic Grey, the cardstock colors are soft sky, blue bayou, and pti vintage cream. its 5X7in real life. ribbon is soft sky from the PIF ribbon swap at splitcoast, (Thanks Brandi!) the heart is from MM. the people are up on pop dots. the sewing is only in the layers.
Don't you just love it when you get an idea in your head and it almost turns out how you think it will? lol that doesn't usually happen for me, most cards just seem to change during construction.
This stocking (PSX) I decided was for a lady. the lace, the quilting, the heart patch all said do it pretty to me... so the idea here ahead of time was to make a card that looked like an well loved quilt. (now in real life some of my real life quilts none of them are in such pretty colors lol) but, this is fantasy land so... this card is 6 Inches square in real life. the PSX stocking is stamped with versafine ink on Georgia Pacific 110 cardstock, the peach textured mat is Bazzill, the Stampin Up sentiment is from one of the first sets i ever bought (something like great greetings or greetings galore? something like that the date on the wood mount says 1992 on it) Its stamped on a peach scrap of holly pond hill pp from Paper Adventures, the mat is a scrap of the green crumpled background under the herb pots card from yesterday. edging was cut with pinking shears ( real ones from the quilt dept. work so much better then the fiskars version) Brown Gingham ribbon scrap from Really reasonable ribbon. Yep, probably do have a peach or green ribbon that would have "matched" perfectly but, something I'm noticing lately seems to be there is a "good enough" and this works "good enough" :) Lace is unknown, the green textured cardbase is Bazzill.
This is what i did for Jan's technique challenge 12. twelve has it really been a whole year? holy cow is all i can think where did the year go? and so with such thoughts i wanted to do a card for Jan, something that shows her how much i appreciate her friendship and thanks her for that even when i don't take the time to do every challenge under the sun, i do read them and i do think about them... so, this months challenge is to create a paper masked background. and i had this image in mind and i wanted something that looked like it was in a gardeners office on say their dream board on the wall...
So this is what it finished like... PSX image is stamped with Versafine on GP110 and colored with prisma pencils. some days I get the light just so, and catch that cool grey 10 shadow under things like this time. really pops those leaves and blooms eh?, that is sewn to the cream Staples Hammermill cardstock that was mask sprayed with the MM frame ( that ink wipes right off the metal by the way) The cork paper mat is unknown, the big do-dad (scientific name for unknown K&Co. scrapbooking embellishment) :) looked like it would make a cool cork board pin to me. the textured green cardbase is from Bazzill. So this is it, had a really good afternoon (for me) Guys went fishing and brought home plenty of fish... Yum Have a good evening!
Stamps are a funny thing, if you pay attention to the retired ones and the way the prices go up and down... this sail boat is an PSX one that i (i know you know what i am going to type next) won on ebay last week ( for next to nothing...)this week its back to normal with psx prices going higher and higher again... *Sigh* the cloud bar is from Stampscapes as is the small water ripples. the sentiments from Penny Black. this is all stamped on a scrap piece of printed blue green paper. the Huge brads are from Imaginisce, the hemp strings from Walmart (bead isle) the papertrey ink spring moss cardstock has fresco blue grotto chalk ink dragged along the torn edge. the cardbase is SU blue bayou. this is 5X7 in real life.
This is an wish rak image from the su set called Sweet Herbs... ( I'm gonna win this one some day lol) the sentiments from Darcies... colored with pencils of course. the mat is a piece of cream cardstock that has some walnut ink tintz (moss and verdigris) on it, then the SU print pattern and the catslife press 5 diamonds were overstamped on it when it was dry. the edges have tea dye distress on them. now this is something i just don't do. those mini brads are showing inside the card. yep, figured that fit right in with the distressed and dirty look of the whole thing... its 5X7 in real life. The green cardbase is unknown, but what ever it is Ive had it forever it was the bottom sheet in the dark green envelope i have and it was slightly sticking out of the end, both sides of that end where its been sticking out are faded and yucky.
just a simple one, Penny Black hedgehog stamped on GP110 and colored with pencils, TAC sentiment. the dark green mat is a scrap from the card above, the pale green is PTI spring moss. the red sparkly cardbase is a premade card from DMD industries. this is A-2 in real life.
Fun fun stuff, this Penny Black hedgie came to me this week via wish rak from Mrsclark2001 (Thanks Teresa!) Its cut with the largest of the long rectangle nestibilitie dies then i trimmed it a little more with a paper trimmer so it would have more of the scalloped mat peeking out. the sentiments from the SU set called more happy returns. the printed paper is from a co. that makes outdoors papers ( have to go back upstairs and find the name) but its two sided and the other side is geared towards scrapbooking as it has a 12 inch cartoon fish hook on it... ( I bought it for this side lol) Card Base is Bazzill. and its 5X7 in real life.
Just a quickie from scraps of the card above, the Monkey is an PIF image from Christina13, colored with pencils. the sentiments from the SU set more happy returns. ( got this from Alice's recent party still debating if i will ever unmount these and put this and so many sayings onto single blocks ) probably not. inked with an brown tomobo marker. this one is 4 1/2" x6" in real life.

now this is a maybe card... maybe i can send it to a lady having a girl baby, maybe that would be too strange since its not a baby and she's holding a puppy... the pink cardbase is something i picked up at staples earlier in the week its flat cardstock in a 5X7 size ( ten sheets for 4.99) ouch. This pink is very similar in color to the papertrey ink sweet blush color. the almost amethyst cardstock and the image were die cut with long rectangles. the ribbons from Offray. and wraps through the inside of the card. if you are like me and you always always tie your bows upside down, you can bend the card a bit and slide the bow off and then turn it around and slip it back on... just so you know. ;) Sentiments from SU (but don't ask me which set, possibly so very but not sure on that)
