Got Trolls? {blog candy}

It's almost that time of the year again... you know that day when people say happy birthday at you all day long... Funny thing though, that day falls the day before Halloween {so when DH is being charming he tells people in a side voice- just missed being an official certified Witch by a few hours ;) } I have so many Halloween memories tied to my birthday it isn't even funny, and as an adult i usually do wear an black floor length evening gown with an black had with feather trim fun stuff... We don't get trick - or - treaters here at the house in the county so i have pretty much given it up now-a-days. Anyways, last summer i came across this baggie filled with brand new Vintage Inkadinkado Troll stamps... and i thought that would be something funny to give away there were so many you see... so this blog candy was divided into three lots, first, second and third. there will also be some carnival colored fibers with each stamp lot. To enter this give-away leave me a comment on this post. Tell me what your favorite Halloween memory is. ( if your not into Halloween and want a chance to win tell me why you like trolls) Sometime late at night on my birthday i will have the guys pull some names. (nope i do this the hoouuman way, toss the entries into a baggie) If you want a second chance to win, post a comment with a link back to this post on your blog... first prize has 4 wood mounted stamps with fibers.
Second prize has 3 wood mounted stamps and fibers.
third prize has two wood mounted stamps and fibers.
note: these stamps were purchased second hand, and these items are coming from an smoke free Lab dog friendly studio. so if you are highly allergic you may not want to enter. I have not noticed any fumes coming off the stamps but, they are a little dusty. ( i put them in a basket and forgot to do this)
Winners will be posted sometime on Halloween morning before i leave for work. (keep in mind as the last day of the month i will be actually Working at work so may not answer mail immediately.)

so far today

The background stamp is from Judi-kins and the first time i seen the rubbernecker birch trees in a circle on Leigh Anne's PIF list i wondered how the two would look together... sentiments from SU all holidays. this is 5 X 7 inches in real life. cardbase is Sahara sand.
Just got this one in the mail last night. House Mouse "Christmas Tales" from Stampa Rosa. the Merry Christmas is from the SU set A Cardinal Christmas. the wall paper looking pp is from Foofala. this is 4 1/2X6 inches in real life.
Another PIF image, this ones from Penny Black called Snowy & Hedgie. Snagged these from Meg and had to do something with one right out of the envelope... hopefully the next one turns out a little better don't really like how it looks cut out on the blue... (then again i don't use blue much so that could be half of it) probably wrong colors...
A very long time ago i was part of an ATC swap where you mailed to each gal in the swap every month an ATC based on the theme, so i had stamped these cranes years ago for that... and found them in my images to be colored. ( i hardly ever throw anything away) so, i made a card (see previous post) with one colored with pencils but, it looked very faded so then i colored these with copic's & Bic Markers... the handmade papers from Provo craft. there are three landscape style ones and three portrait style ones. figured i would add a sentiment as i need to mail them out.
I received this set Stampin Up a cardinal Christmas as a thank-you gift from the ladies in the stamp shack for organizing color combo challenges last year and i got it all mounted and put together last night. this is going to be something fun to play with so, since this is a first card, got too much ink on the bird i guess, it lost some detailing over ones i stamped later with less ink... the image has some creamy Carmel ink sponged (rubbed) into the cardstock, the pp's are from Basic Grey. the lace is vintage from a yard sale this summer. may tie something dangly in the corner. (not sure yet) and its 6 inches square. this mornings fun thing, i went to walmart (early before the crowds got there) and I have finally found a cd that has music that a sounds like music, b i understand the words as they are being sung and i remember it whoo... I listened to this
George straight 50 number one hits for hours today while I made these cards with my ear turned up to the loudest volume it takes and the speakers on the laptop as loud as they would go... dogs are up here with me now so may do it again tomorrow while they are pheasant hunting. yay i was starting to think i would not be listening to music (for pleasure not frustration for a long time to come)

more recent cards

The stampa rosa house mouse (frog floating) is colored with prisma pencils, there is some broken china distress ink color dusted along the edges then the stampers anonymous sentiment is over stamped on that piece with India Ink black. the mat under that was done with shabby shutters distress ink on gp110. ( foil transfer) the mat is not quite navy. the textured green is from Bazzill and this one is 5 1/4 x 6 inches in real life.
This Hero Arts Haiku bunny came to me via the pif threads from **Carol** (Thanks!) I colored the background and the flowers with pencils and left the rest as it was stamped. this panel is up on pop dots. the all night media Chinese coin was stamped with India Ink black on gold shimmer paper. the velvet is unknown, the red textured pp has some gold krylon leafing pen along the edges and the textured cardbase is neenah linen. this one is 6 inches square.
This Eureka! Peeking kitty is stamped with palette cognac ink and colored with pencils, there is some shabby shutters sponged along the upper background of the image. the green textured mat is bazzill. the printed paper is from Bo Bunny Press, the sentiments from Impression Obsession and the cardbase ( 4 X 9 ) is from Neenah Papers.
This is an rak image from Pam that i have been hoarding since i have not bought the stamp or managed to horse trade for some more of them... the blue cardstock was run through an cuttlebug distressed diamonds? (something like that) this one is 4 1/2 x 6 in real life.
This the SU Oriental Paintings image is colored with prism pencils. ( have done some more of these with markers and they really POP much better but, i needed something to go in the mail and then almost forgot to mail it) anyways sentiments from SU also. background mat is a scrap from the card below. done with walnut ink Tintz dauber bottles. this is a 2 in real life.
This little cowboy is cut out from an wish rak image i received from StampnKat (Thanks Kathy!) hes colored with pencils and up on pop dots. hemp cords from walmart and the Howdy sentiments from A muse. this ones a-2 in real life too.
This is one of the first hedgehog images i ever received, i no longer know who sent it to me. if it was an wish rak or an PIF but, i think it was an wish rak and that narrows down who sent it to me to a few different ladies... so Thanks gals! ;) its colored with prisma pencils the sentiments from A Muse, this ones 4 1/2 x 6 inches in real life. Ah i missed a card as i uploaded these so will save it for next time around. funny thing two days ago i put my hair into a loose pony tail to go out and weed after work and this time the hair (that has grown back from where they shaved my head) actually went into the rubber band this time, I have been using a bobby pin for it) didn't stay long in it but, it was fun to see that those hairs were no longer too short and not sticking straight out (the usual) :)
vain thing was i did ask the surgeon if i was going to wake up bald... he said do you want to? i can arrange that... (he thinks he's a funny man) so, although they didn't cut away that much it was still very noticeable to me.

one of those days...

a "not cute" one.
funny thing though is I bought this hero arts birdcage to do cute cards with it... but, i could not find a tree branch that would work in my stash... and the more i looked at it the more it felt "caged in" poor bird... so anyways, maybe someday will do something cute with it, but not today.
handle with care is from the su set handle with care lol, the fragile is from stampa rosa. background was done with dauber bottles of walnut ink tintz. the paisley background is stamped with creamy carmel on creamy carmel and the cardbase is blue bayou. this is 4 1/2" x 6" in real life.
