PSX Hollyhocks stamped with Memento on Neenah and colored with Copics. the mat is a piece of enchanted evening pti cardstock Melissa rak'd me a long time ago. have to remember to buy a pack next time around its such a pretty shade of blue. 

Sentiment's from SU on an spellbinders tag diecut, the shimmery blue was run through an Cuttlebug Asian folder. ( it has a real name, I don't remember it) the base is bazzill and this ones 6" in real life. the floral panel is up on pop dots, the green lace is vintage. the blue sheer I think is offray. the brads are unknown.

First Auction

Nope, I didn't buy this. in fact I did not buy a single thing... didn't have a number.

 but, Hubs had one... so 

This was the adventure. I have never been to a live auction in my life. I've been to livestock auctions but, not one where "things" were being sold... so, this was a two day thing, there was a "preview" on friday.

 (we went) then we had to go back again to actually register and get the number.

then the auction actually started at 9 am on Saturday. ( out doors... it was 24 degrees when we woke up) 

the wind blew all day. the fun part for me was I could actually understand the auctioneer. that was cool. he had a cool accent slightly Irish also when he was just talking or telling stories. this was a little out of town in the country so, it had barns and out buildings and such. so some of it was held under big tents in the middle of a field and some of it you trooped to barn to building to behind said structures... and it didn't matter where you went the wind was blowing and it was cold. think around 2 pm it got up to 40 degrees according to my phone. 

Here is some things I learned that I hope I remember in case we ever go to another one.

bring a blanket. bring two blankets. bring chair pads. wear more clothes.

and DO NOT say that looks "cute" after 7 hours and all you really want is for it to be over with so you can go home to your husband on something from the back of the bidding section if neither of you noticed it or looked at it during the preview... ( chances are its neck has been broken and glued back on) but, you'll win because, you did not want anything... all day... 'cept an old camera that was being auctioned off with a box of Junk that was being bid on by hubs friend from high school... 

he got the whole box for $3.00

and hubs actually told him you're lucky... Stac was gonna bid on that because, she wanted the camera 

(mildly) and he handed it to me. because,

he bought that lot just to get an old sepia photograph in the box, 

and so the camera was a gift. 

and it was an adventure. and I would like to go again I think. 

maybe I will even get my own number. 

True North

A long time ago I ordered a compass stamp online wanting to do something like this... you are my true north as the sentiment. (that is written inside) when the stamp arrived it was tiny. so, it would still work as an accent on something but, not as a show stealer... this is an Sizzix tim holtz compass embossing folder done on some speckletone sand the raised parts were inked with some creamy brown, gray whale and ocean depth chalk inks. the sentiment was stamped on some mellow moss with stream ink on an memorybox die cut. the plaid paper is MME, the brown is soft suede and the blue is not quite navy. I cant believe they are getting rid of this color of blue cardstock at su. I love this color, I think it was my first su blue love... followed by soft sky. so I am excited about that part. (I don't think I even own navy cardstock) This is 5X7 in real life. 

Birthdays and Hugs

just using up scraps... these were in the bin and the sentiment had been stamped and diecut recently.

Hero Arts sentiment, this one is for J's girlfriends birthday next month. its A-6 in real life. the wallpaper looking paper was a gift from June and its shimmery in real life, so the mats under it and the sentiment is also a shimmer cardstock. 

Found this vintage bear stamp at a yard sale last weekend and just loved how scruffily long haired it looked. its colored with copic's. the sentiment is from Hero Arts, going out in a RAK package tomorrow in the mail. The ribbon is silk. this friend likes bling so there are some MME pearls and the blue mat is a shimmer cardstock. It's 5" square in real life. This bear is from Judi Kins. 

First time I inked this stamp just did it direct on an previously stained tag. colored the have fun with an marker and added the ribbons. 

Willie and Mia

Just a simple one because, I liked how they turned out color wise, already forgot who makes this paper. the trim is May Arts and its A-6 in real life. sentiments from SU. 

Boo & Snookie

So, the stash is low on fantasy cards... stamped every single one of them I own a week or so ago before I got sick and started coloring some of them on Friday so, here are the first two. both done with copic's and gel pens and sometimes the blingy gel pens. spent some time trying to make the snail spotty looking on this one. texture wise. 

It's 6" square in real life from some Bazzill. this stamp is from the Emerald Faeries and its name is Boo & Snookie. this was die cut with an labels 8 and the base is a piece of shimmery diecuts with a view paper that survived the saturday make those dies work. (some of the lacey edge ones) the copper/gold paper panel is also DCWV. I don't remember who make the peacy paper, the lace is vintage, the ribbons may arts the thread is karen fosters scrappers floss with
an Stampin Up sentiment on it.
