WOYWW # 391 {progress}

Happy Wednesday (AKA Desk peeking day) :) if you'd like to play along with us the link up happens here at our hostess Julia's blog

 When I walked away from the desk last Sunday afternoon this is how I left it. I had been stamping some mostly Christmas sentiments and I left them out to "dry"
and I came up for an idea for my work Christmas gift card holders ( mostly still in my head) the beginning of that is here in this shot though.
 in this same time frame if you had stood off to the left and glanced at the never ending scraps pile, the SU plastic box I keep previously stamped sentiments on scraps that I have not gotten around to diecutting and putting away or using yet is so full its lid is above the paper cutter. ( the pile on top of that is mostly mixed media scraps) I put plain papers and cardstocks away loosely sorted by colors.
 After a couple of hours of cutting and sorting, I can close the lid on the box again.

These are stamps that need a home. ( I mean in my room they came in the mail sometime during the Booth/ds visit) and kind of got buried in the shuffle so this is me unearthing them, but I had run down to start dinner so, I never made it back upstairs. the tray on the left is holding bits and pieces for mostly Christmas / Winter things. I find it easier to make them at this time of year when it is cold.
We did the trip up to Crater Lake on Sunday and there was a cloud sitting on the top of the mountain so visibilty was limited to about 20 feet up there and we did not see the lake but, the snow was up to DS shoulders there.
He is about 5'10" ish in real life. Anyways we are just you know working at going back to that empty nester new reality again. ( the see-you-laters still bite)

Looks like you're full steam ahead with your Christmas cards! Wow, that is a serious amount of snow - that sort of snow would bring Britain to a standstill! Thanks for visiting earlier! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #22

Okay first totally jealous of the snow! It is so warm and unseasonably here, yuck! Second toss the scraps, they will take over your life, you will be forever organizing them lol! I only keep big pieces now, everything else goes into the recycle bin, it was just to much. Now about that December Daily lol, This will be my fifth year doing one. I get a simple stories album and pick paper and bits from whatever I like. So yes tomorrow is Dec 1st! Where did the year go? Thanks for the visit!

OMGee that is a lot of snow. Not for me at all! Really like the Special Delivery stamp, it looks great. I need to carve out some mass production time...that being called away to dinner or whatever is so familiar! Very impressed at your wrangling and getting control of the scraps box, it really is never ending isn't it!

Wow what a lot of snow. Please make sure you keep it and don't send it this way. We had a little but not a lot. Yet. Looks like you're busy with Christmas. I think all the stamps on my desk made it messier than usual, but I clean them as I go along and then, like you said, you have to leave them to dry.

Have a good week

Your desk looks nice and busy, just as it should be. All that snow Wow! You asked me about the shrink plastic. You can put it in the oven but you don't need to and I never do. I heat it with my heat gun. Hold it with tweezers in one hand while heating it as it will try to move around. Do this on a heat proof surface. Don't worry about it curling up as this is normal and it will unroll as it shrinks. If it does appear to stick when the shrinking has finished just use the tweezers and a pokey tool to separate it. While it's still warm I like to put a book over it to ensure it is flat when cool. Hope that helps but if there is anything else just ask. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww and happy crafting,

Loe your desk, overflowing with crafty!! We're moving to upstate New York, we like being empty nesters but when we moved to Texas last year, 2400 miles was just to far from te chicks!! Heading home next week! Loved the picture of your son - made me cold!

Wow - that IS a lot of snow. We just about get an inch or two here in the UK. The joy of being a tiny island... the picture didn't look real to begin with!

I really ought to do an in-depth look at my clutter but my teeth start to itch when I get too close to it!
