Lovefest continued...

done for the first Lovefest challenge to use

So the LOVE stamp was stamped with Versamark and was heat Embossed with some Zing Blush powder on some Vanilla cardstock the words were inked with an milled Lavender marker. the edges were cut with pinking shears and inked with creamy brown chalk. this is up on pop dots. the Spellbinders lacy oval was cut from some shimmery DCWV paper and then the center was cut out with an small petite Ovals die. the MM Polkadot pp was cut by hand ( the flag part ) so the edges are inked with pink pastel chalk. the button is Vintage and there is some karen fosters scrappers floss in it. the Lace is Vintage and is machine sewn to the basic grey layer. this is A-6 in real life.

Well, this one was *almost* like cheating I guess because, all of these things were on the table, and I had been thinking about turning this suede scrap into some kind of a book mark type note card for a while but, was not sure what to do with it and decided to let today's Verve color challenge, let the colors do it all. the lace is vintage, this is 2 1/4" x 5 1/2" in real life.

This was done for the sweet 'n Sassy sketch challenge, I did tweak it a bit switching out the oval for an heart because, my lacy oval die cut was not cutting it for frilly ness. The cocoa is colored and cut out twice there are layers of pop dots between them and the edges were inked with an grey C0 copic marker. this is 6" square in real life

A Closer look at the cocoa

this was done for that fabulous Unity inspiration photo challenge, the gal is stamped on Neenah with Memento and colored with copic's. this is 6" square in real life.

I do not have anything from The Greeting Farm, and so, just put this together simply with things on the table. I tend to stamp sentiments on scraps of cardstock and die cut them for future (someday) use... this one was diecut with an spellbinders mega deckle rectangle die and the edges were inked with some creamy brown chalk. the heart is wood and was stained with distress. The shipping tag was previously stained.

For the cats pajama's color combo challenge.

I ah do not have any cat's Pajama's stamps so, when I squint at the inspiration photo the flowers in the bottom corner caught my attention as being similar as this Stampendous bloom. this is 5 1/2" square in real life, and I have to tell you this challenge pushed me way out of my comfort zone colorwise, but I really like how this turned out.

These were done for the Taylored Expressions 3" card sets challenge. the birdy's and sentiments are from the wreaths of love set, stamped with Memento on Neenah and colored with copic's and distress markers. there is some Bisque liquid pearls in the centers of the flowers on the nests. the tumbled glass was colordusted into the die cuts before they came out of the die. the swirly printed paper is fancy pants and the gingham is DCWV.

Done for the My Favorite Things challenge, this is 5 1/2" square in real life. nope, did not crochet the doily. its from a craft store called sunshine crafts and came to me attached to an gift. The house shape was cut by hand from some recollections corrugated paper.

lili of the valley kids colored with copics

Done for the score pal flip, flaps and lots of folds challenge. the penny black sentiment ( larger one made me laugh it is SO something hubs would say... was looking for an small Happy Anniversary to stick with it and came across the Lockhart catch sentiment and thought OK these work together...) the kids are from Lili of the Valley stamped on Neenah, colored with copic's the embossing folder is from craft concepts budding vine. the gingham pp is graphic45 the creamy swirly one is my minds eye. the base is bazzil. this is 6" square in real life. the lace is all vintage and the skinny satin is May Arts. I had originally planned to do an Swinging Z fold card and then I realized as I was gluing the kids on I skipped cutting their base shape out of the card front so it is just glued on.

This was an "needed" card, ( for people at work to sign for hubs b-day next week) and knowing that I did color this a few weeks ago... but, I had no idea what I wanted to do with it so it sat. (there is nothing like a challenge to push you to get stuff done eh?) So, this uses 4 spellbinders dies. the happy birthday ribbon was tied to some of my birthday gifts last year and the colors just worked, the tag was stained and that frill out the hole is basket filler with some vintage sequins, MM jump rings and a silly fish brad. ( was trying for a stringer messy tackle pile but, who knows...) anyways.

the whole card view.

Love Fest {Stamping Bella}

A closer look. This Stamping Bella was stamped on Neenah and colored with copic's some time ago and I have had her sitting in the basket of lets do something with this one for a while. dusted her off and added the Impression Obsession sentiment.

the member companies at SplitCoastStampers are having Love Fest Challenges ( did ya see that you can see them here ) The Stamping Bella Challenge was to add bling.. well her headband is colored with an red bling-y gel pen but, trying to shoot that at night is impossible for me so I added in the baubles for rain and hope they sparkle enough to be "bling" this is 6" square in real life with some simple stories summer printed paper and May Arts ribbon. the sentiment is up on pop dots and both panels were cut with the different sizes of the same Spellbinders die.

Pink is still the thing...

had requests for PG congratulation cards in Nov. so. this is the first for that.

Leigh Anne rak'd me this IO image a long time ago, made the texture on the cups with copic markers. this one is not lined inside.

the girl is from the original cornish heritage farms norman rockwell line.

Penny Black Mum's the word colored with Copic's with an Hero Arts sentiment.

Personal Stamp Exchange tulip colored with copic's have to look at that sentiment ( maybe stampendous?)

Bunny from Rubber Romance with an IO sentiment.

This butterfly was stuck to gift wrapping from June recently and has just been laying on the table ( I think its probably K & Co. )

Now this cute image came to me from a few people via Wish Rak last year and I finally got one colored that did not look totally dorky so... the bling brads are from recollections. with some May Arts ribbon.

Penny Black image colored with copic's the resplendent rectangles die is a totally booger to remove the cardstock from and all those little connectors from the center to the edge on both long edges are ripped... glued down its not so noticeable but, I have not had this die come out whole yet.

you can click any photo on this blog to enlarge it, ( its not the slide show thing) thanks for looking and have a great day!

Mint Melody June gave me these printed tags, thinking maybe K & Co.

Curious metalic's shimmer cardstock.

Stardream aqua shimmer cardstock.

the fun shaped pearls are K & Co.

razzleberry, with an kraft ladybug button.

another craft button.

that little tag was some kind of free printable thing I found on pinterest a year or so a go... not sure If i have it pinned. the butterfly is an Spellbinders die and the pearl on it is K & Co.

Gift Bags

These are completely empty. received this die for Christmas this year...

They take an entire sheet of 8.5X11 paper to create, but the die is big enough to lay an 12" sheet on it.

So I tried them with both make the bag from cardstock and layering some scrap printed paper to it.

Mindy sent me this lavender image years ago, its colored with pencils ( Thanks Chickie!)

Now this one is from THIN printed paper, not the kind that feels like thin cardstock as the ones above. ( it still works.

a Different Sizzix die, this one I only used part of the die to do this then created the handle with an 1" strip of the same coversheet. I think these could be cute with a pinch of basket filler or some small tags in them.

use'em up cards

well, the store had a request for pelican's swimming in water with the town, state name under them and I gave this a lot of thought, I actually and so does Tim have photographs of Pelicans on water that are really cool shots... but, it sounds like a tourist trap post card thing to me and I decided for what the store is willing to pay me for my cards to resale them it would probably cost me more money to have them printed and such and the other thought is... none of the shots were taken in town. they were taken out of Keno haha... anyways, I had colored this pelican months ago after they asked for that and finally made it into a card. its 5X7 in real life with some DCWV linen closet pp.
the button is vintage the string is American Crafts.

some of these images were colored 3 years ago... most of them were already die cut too. so I just glued them to some premade A-2 sized card fronts some have some scraps on them most of them are perfectly flat and it used up a lot of stuff. ( which is a feel good thing) some may go to the booth some in my own stash. I have fallen away from sending out mail since I started selling cards because, it seems like there is never enough cards to sell when I do it. the little pink one in the front is more like 3 1/2" square.

Life's Short... Buy the Stamps

So, I've been doing some thinking since Zelda passed away and I found out Beverly had passed away and you know what, you cant take it with you so you may as well enjoy it... did some online shopping this past weekend to get some stamps and die's I have been ogling for some time now... I have the money, this did not cause any debt or distress for my family... and I have the first of 2 packages have arrived. got these penny black stamps for the express reason of I wanted to do a card for my grandparents with them... inside says Happy Valentines day... I you know they will be married for 64 years in June. and their health is not as good as it used to be. there is no sense in trying to hoard this till June. so, its a happy tuesday ( or what ever day V day will be this year ) card... going in the mail in the morning. This is 6" square in real life.

More Happy mail, remember I mentioned I won two prizes from the hope you can cling to donation last fall? this is the second gift. it was on the porch today. ( I am so thrilled with this, they don't make refills for the 510 machine anymore) had no clue they made glue sticks or tape runners but, its OK... can take the little X to work or something. (have one here already) and so, it was just a nice thing to come home to. hope you all had a good day too.
