WOYWW # 308

Happy Wednesday! these were taken Tuesday afternoon. I had received this Spellbinders die in the mail on Monday so I hauled it up the stairs and had set it down with my cuppaJoe and off to the left is a card I was thinking would be OK for an anniversary card off to the right are some of the things I stamped on Sunday that had not become cards yet by tuesday. (there are now 14 creating days left until the booth)
You can see the two cards I finished from these piles here. (then the mess got to me, I had not cleaned sat, sun, mon) so the scraps felt a mile high and I "had to clean"
now this is a closer look towards the left. see that tray where the dies in packages are by the light? ( that is where my cell phone parks while I am playing and you will not see it because, I am using the phone to shoot the desk shots haha. but, here is the interesting thing. (that is the die set that came in the mail the previous week.) anyways... the MISTI is magnetic... think about that for a moment.. if you are making huge piles of scraps... and you have a die set with lots of little pieces out... they stick to the misti instead of the scrap piles... ( so less chance of losing a piece) YAY me. that was a happy thought. if you want to play along and see what everyone else is pushing around in their happy place this week head over to our hostess Julia's blog and check it out here.

two for tuesday

I'm tired. lol so, it seems like they are all the same card at this point 14 creating days left till the booth.  I *think* at this point really all I "need" will be a few more Wedding cards after this... this swan decoy image is from Impression Obsession with an SU sentiment.
this is 6" square in real life.
I am too tired to remember who make the image stamp and it seems like I just stamped it yesterday but, it was probably Sunday afternoon and the ribbon is May Arts and this is A-7 in real life and that is pretty much all I remember.

More for Monday

PSX lighthouse with an Hero Arts sentiment ( scraps from yesterdays featured stamper card are all piled on my desk) this one is 6" square in real life.

Decoy's are from Impression Obsession with an SU sentiment.

The geese are from embossing arts? ( something like that) sentiment is Hero Arts.

Cornish Heritage Farms Thomas Kinkade image with an SU sentiment.
this one is A-7.

PSX "lobster shack" with an Hero Arts sentiment. ( more of that yummy kaiser craft paper)

The sentiment is from Hero Arts. ( mind just went blank on the silhouette.

The truck is from Impression Obsession. ( I have to check on the sentiment forgot already)
This one is 5" square in real life.

Rubbernecker glass, Dyan Reaveley's sentiment (up on pop dots) this one is A-7.

almost added a happy fathers day tag to this one.. lol... ( you know a you're the reason we drink type card) ha ha. this one is A-6 in real life. sentiment is MFT, glass is from rubbernecker. ( the wine is paper pieced into it and the whole thing is covered with wink of stella.

this weekends cards

this was done for the inspiration challenge this weekend which went to a postage stamp board at pinterest.
the tulip is from PSX and the love charm is from Impress. its A-7 in real life.

I had recently picked up a gryo cutting tool (itsoneofhoseLydiamademedoitthings) and it works super for the insides of handles of cups. YAY. ( this particular cup is from hero Arts.)

so, I had recently stamped and then paper pieced the insides of the cups knowing I had ordered that tool.

the butterfly is a recollections sticker.
This Kimono is from Judi Kins.

this floral background came to me from Janice a long time ago. fighting with the lightroom upgrades. (that cardstock is actually Cream not white in real life)

another new to me Unity stamp set from Phyllis Harris line  (girl) the sentiment is from SU.

The bloom on this one is from an older SU set and the sentiment is from Avery Elle. the layers have pop dots between them.

A PSX water lilies image I cannot remember ever coloring.

Poppy background is from sweet and sassy stamps stamped with versafine a while back and paper pieced with some stickles in the center.  (its up on pop dots)
This ballerina frog... I picked it up the first time I seen it at Micheal's ( a long time ago now I'd guess) finally colored one.  sentiment is from Avery Elle. ( love that swirly font they have) (think I have every set they made with it now ( not sure)

The boots are from Unity Stamps and they are colored slightly with copic's the sentiment ( I have to look for it, I have forgotten who makes it)
the barbed wire die cuts are from  Marianne designs.

Now, friday there was a use gingham challenge... and I knew it Saturday... but, I did not upload this one because, I don't think the slang word for cowboy boots would make it past the censors in the gallery. the stamps are from Unity Stamps. The bandana paper is from Flair designs.

I had picked up a Memento Luxe pad for the heck of it... was not sure what color it was going to be stamped but, thought it looked close to kraft in the store... so stamped it on kraft to see. its kinda more golden than that to my eye in real life. ( horse line is from Viva Las Vegas stamps) sentiment is from SU.

the measure tape paper I cut it apart then trimmed it down so the brick paper could peek through the opening. the happy fathers day sentiment (SU) is up on pop dots. I thought there was maybe a tape measure in this package of metal tool charms I had but, no dice so used the hack saw instead. this one is A-7 in real life.

This was done for Sunday's featured stamper. I had come across this gorgeous card in Francie's gallery and loved the color texture mix and thought that would make an awesome fathers day card... so changes were to not color the image, switched out the black gems for the silver tiny brads ( multiplied those by a lot) and tied on the sentiment. This light house scene is from PSX.

The booth needed some neutral Graduation cards... so, these use pieces of printed paper from the same pad. ( want to say doodlebug but, not sure right now)
this particular one is 6" square, the cap is in two pieces and the top is popped up. ( MFT die set)

This one is smaller. ( I found a package of White card bases with envelopes premade ones) and I used up a few of those today.) the sentiment on this one is from SU and was cut with an MFT tag die.

another small one, the star's are also a MFT die as is the banner. the ribbon I have had for years and no longer know who makes it ( maybe wrights?)
the sentiment is from Impression Obsession ( I think)

Do you know what I remembered this weekend? its a pain to shoot white cards... lol this one is textured ( 6" square in real life) and I had to tinker and tinker to get the the texture to show up. so... the photo below is the inside of this card.

this card is 6" square in real life.

another small one. this has no words about "graduation" on it actually. the sentiment is from Avery Elle.
the big brad is unknown , the ribbon is from May Arts.

an extreme CAS version. ( this is my favorite)

from the scraps. ( which means I have some cleaning to do as the scrap pile is a mile high again now and I had really enjoyed having a "clean" space this last few weeks...

the wooden hearts were pressed into an rose red pad. the so happy is from Avery Elle, the happy anniversary is from SU. ( ribbon is unknown) and I have to check on these papers again ( forgot already.) but, this one is 6" in real life.

a few more for Friday

The mixability challenge today was to play with fire... so, I colored this dragon with pencils and pens. ( mix ) and hauled it to the kitchen sink before I lit the edge on fire with my candle lighter. (my kitchen sink is stainless steel) so, I just caught it on fire, blew it out and tapped the embers off into the sink. So, I think I caught that on fire about 10 times trying to get just a smidge burnt rather than the whole thing going POOF... the dragon is from Viva Las Vegas Stamps and the sentiment is from Art Impressions.

this is the inside. the ways to use it challenge this week is to decorate the inside and show it off... so this sentiment is from Stampa Rosa. way back when they made the original house mouse stamps.

This sentiment is from Outlines... and I dont know if I have ever used it, came across it and another one from them in a dvd with cling stamps that I have probably had for years.

the inside. this one is 4 1/2" X 10" in real life.

Tim Holtz crazy bird colored with prisma pencils and pitt pens.
the sentiment is from Art Impressions ( I think I have to go look now because... not sure anymore)

these bunnies are from the artful stamper and colored with prisma pencils on some very old basic grey printed paper. ( almost gives it an cave dweller feel ?) the sentiment is from Avery Elle.

now this was just an experiment. the cup is from Hero Arts, done on scraps of printed paper and paper pieced. I actually opened my gryo cutting tool tonight to cut out the inside of this cups handle. ( it works really well. ( even on that very worn self healing mat on my table) the sentiment is from My Favorite things ( gifting fun) and the butterfly came attached to a gift given to me a while back. the mat is a spellbinders die. ( have to look at its name its a new one for me and I have forgotten already) this is A-2 in real life.

What I made on Wednesday...

So, it goes like this... a while back the inspiration challenge went to a site with umbrella's... remember that? well the thing that struck me a whole bunch was how many mug shots there were with people with red umbrella's... and somewhere after that those people at Unity Stamps had a fabulous sale with .99 cent shipping... so, Of course this chickie jumped into my shopping cart because somewhere in recent memory Susie did an awesome card with her in shades of grey. no clue how long its been or what her card really looks like anymore but, that was the thought behind this one is lets make the umbrella red and everything else mostly grey. ( its A-7 in real life) that ribbon came from big lots when ours first opened years and years ago. the sentiment is from Verve Stamps.

Another new one from Unity Stamps. ( I think its name is someone to be there) from the Phyllis Harris line. its colored with copic markers on some Neenah solar white the lace is vintage the printed paper was a scrap with no mfg info on it but, if I remember right it came from like joanns fabrics a million years ago ( and its literally paper thin so, you have to be careful putting good glue on the backside)

Now this one is firmly Jeanne's fault last year during HYCCT she had a pink balloon challenge and she used this taylored expressions die set with kraft paper some how. ( dont really remember the details but, it was so fabulous I promptly put it on my wish list and eventually bought it) today is the first time it was played with. the center balloon is up on pop dots over the three along the edges and the whole frame is also up on pop dots. the sentiment is from the Avery Elle set called sending you. this one is also A-7 in real life. it was going to be a cas card... and I out smarted my self. drew some faint pencil lines on the pink cardbase and stamped the sentiment. so far so good... then put the frame onto it... crooked... so, it was trimmed and mounted to a second cardbase. ( such is life)
just something silly. I know the guy and the fish are from river city rubber works. ( have to look up the sentiment)
this one is A-7 also. the colored panel was diecut with a avery elle die set ( dots? dotted? something like that its a frame with a bunch of banner/flag type dies in the set)

now this one, eh... I wanted it to be quirky but, the ribbon is really bugging me colorwise so, I had to just wrap it up and let it go. ( also A-7)
the entire lotv image is covered with clear wink of stella and she sparkles in real life.

used up a few scraps on the table. the larger one is 4 1/2" square and the smaller one is 3" square.
