WOYWW # 311

To know why the mess is on display head over to our hostess Julia's blog and find the link up for all the desker's sharing this week.
So this first photo was taken sometime Sunday after lunch during the clean up before the dress cards were made... I had caught part of the HSN program last week with these Aqua brushes from Crafters Companion and went and poked around in their site ( because, they ship for free on 50.00 orders instead of paying shipping on each piece you want from hsn...) and this box of happy mail showed up friday. there is one 6" embossing folder and one brick die. ( which I was unsuccessful in getting to cut out the whole way) so, later I will try again with you know wax paper and a metal shim and the whole 9 yards all the intricate dies need in my big shot) (on the tv they cut one out with some kind of electronic cutter.) also in the mess are price tags that had been removed from things people bought at the booth. and the label tags that were tied onto baskets of stuffs.

I have not really had time to play this week but, I did get the markers out of the packaging. I need to make some kind of a cheat sheet for them. I did try them on some smooth Neenah and that just pilled up really bad using water with those markers on that cardstock. so, sometime I will make time to stamp on watercolor paper and try again. that particular image on the desk was colored with copic markers. towards the back are some birds I had seen on someone's pinterest board that I think I will try coloring the tim holtz crazy birds in some time. ( have not gotten that far) and that's about it. ( its still Wednesday in my part of the world)

Slow Down

While I had this dress out yesterday I also embossed one on this scrap of teal cardstock. and I had the sentiment out on the table. I thought for sure I owned some bitty shoe charms but, no luck. so, I used a key instead on the ribbons. this one is 4X9 in real life. Dress is from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Riley & Co.

A country wedding

This was done for this weeks featured stamper Naomi You can see her gorgeous card here.

This is closer look at the dress details, the pearls on the waist line were switched to vintage lace that was tied around the crumpled tulle to help hold it on. should have seen my face when I opened the box of tulle from the closet and there was no white... so, this is a pale green that is nearly the same color as the Mellow Moss embossed panel ( YAY ) (it's the little things you know) There are pop dots strategically hiding behind the white embossed parts and cut into slivers under the dress straps in the bodice.
So, the main changes were the burlap panel was switched to a piece of kraft corrugate and the white background panel lost its stamped pattern. I did switch out the embossing folder and changed the color of the pearls from white to pale gold. this is 6" square in real life.

Shepherds Spring Fair 2015

I am nearly always told after people want to see what is in the baskets... so, hopefully these are not too blurry. taken early Friday AM before it opened for the day. was a 10 hour day today and will be open again 9-5 on Saturday at Hosanna in Gatewood.
The long rectangular holders on the wall are from craft warehouse 5 years ago? ( not sure) the snowflake bronze colored ones are from a Princess House party. ( probably that many years ago too now) the cream round hangers were found at Kohls recently. ( so, of all of them that one has a possibility of being purchased) the suitcases and ladders are vintage.

These are those pretty flat 3" folding gift cards. in some kind of a wall hanging display box that was about the thickness of a printers drawer but, not old.

This top basket is fathers day cards, the one below it is pop up gift card holders the tray below that is tags that are not on the wall, folding gift cards that are 3 1/2" and 4" square ( they do not fit in the dividers of the tray above) and on the floor is some vintage jello molds with vintage clothing buttons in them.

what it looks like in the center.

and angled view.

This smaller ladder the basket on the top is holding boxed birthday cards.
The basket below that is holding Graduation cards. the basket below that is holding Baby cards.

the bottom basket is fold over coffee themed ( to go cups) that hold a gift card under the ribbons there is a slot cut under the cup lid that a gift card can tuck into.

This is the smaller suitcase the left side of it is Thank you cards with some thinking of you and blank note cards. for the most part people do not buy blank cards from me they are very specific that if they want a birthday card it better say happy birthday ( on the front of it mind you) so, after some time goes buy sometimes I take these blank ones out and add a sentiment to them.
the right side is all the rest of the holidays in the year except Christmas ( which has two suitcases on its own and is at home)
what it looks like looking left. It was pretty quiet in here on friday and so, I think everyone is hopeful more people will make time to drop by on Saturday. now the walls them selves are stealing the show. every time I take them there people offer to buy them. so, I have a stack of hubs work cards on that table too.

WOYWW #310 Last Minute Stuffs

So, we set up the booth tomorrow night after work for the "spring Fair" at Hosanna. and as always there is a raffle prize from each vendor required in addition to the cost of the booth. so, that basket on the desk is what I am doing along with some of the tags made today and earlier inside of it. (you can see the today tags in this post)  If you are wondering why the mess is on display head over to Julia's blog here where you can read the details and play along if you are so inclined.

So, on the table to the left are some Simon Says Stamp and (another clear set I have not played with) sentiments stamped on scraps from monday? maybe tuesday. ( they were dry already) and some shipping tags that had been sprayed on Sunday afternoon that were also dry. Received that Avery Elle round tag die in the mail and its about the same size as the PTI tag sale #4 die except it has some slight piercing details in the edging of the inside of the tag.

Last Minute Tags

Tomorrow we set up the booth for the Spring Fair... so, these are just some things tossed together from things on the table. ( desk shot coming up next blog post) (it's still Wed. in my part of the world)

Some things from last week

There was a butterfly challenge last week. this is the largest in the SU thinlets set, ( stacked twice)

Its 6" square in real life.

Had some happy mail from Taylored expressions too so these dies are from them.

along with this sentiment. ( its up on pop dots)

using up scraps ( 3" gift cards)

The sentiment on the left is stamped on the inside.
light house is from IO and sentiment is from GKD.

I think that is one of those dollar bin sentiments. ( not sure at the moment, its been stamped on that scrap for a while) poked around in the already stamped pile and die cut some along with using up some other cut sentiments.

This is 3" square in real life, the candles are from Outlines.
(colored with glitter pens & other pens)

think this one is 4" ? ( forgot)
the heart is from Hero Arts but, I have forgotten the sentiment.

 This sentiment is from IO

 So is this one..

the glasses are taylored expressions with a Hero Arts sentiment, the shoe is from My sentiments exactly and the no one is IO.

The buttefly is from Karen lockhart stamps ( its stamped twice) the sparkle diecut is a gift from Taylored Expressions.
(they are both covered with clear wink of stella
The sentiment is from Outlines. the buttefly was sprayed with some cherry walnut ink then spritzed with some color burst. it did turn the gem pinkish but, it did not want to dry on that surface so eventually I just wiped it off with a baby wipe.

This snowman is a Sizzix die from the recent loot pile. the sentiment is from Dylusions... ( this is my first May quota Christmas/winter card)

The inspiration challenge last weekend went to an artists site and I chose one that was a pair of young children in sepia/cream tones.. ( I didn't really have a stamp that suited the image so, I chose the word die cut instead and kept the colors)
Another Taylored Expressions die, this one is up on pop dots that I cut into slivers.

There is a metal key charm hanging from these ribbons.

more scraps used up.... the sentiment on the left is from IO. ( I have to check on the one on the right, in my head I know its a clear stamp but not sure who makes it)

 3" cards
 more 3" cards.
A Verve Sentiment I have had stamped and been wanting to use for a while now. the lace is vintage.
