Well I guess i lied more cards from tonight

Okay so the colors off because the camera flash went off...
and your probably gonna have to click on the photos to see it.
but there is yellow, crystal and stardust stickles glitter glue all over the wings of the butterfly. these are 5X7 in real life. the pp (Sunflower) is new ones from Bo Bunny Press, and the polka dot pp is a scrap from My Minds Eye. the Sentiment (Penny Black) and the Butterfly (SU) are on watercolor cardstock that i rubbed a Canary and (the orange color that came in the mail this afternoon from Sandy on) then they were stamped with Versafine Vintage sepia ink.
tfl.

More THANKS are in Order!

I May have Mentioned this before, but my Friend Alice and her husband took a cruise ship for their 25Th anniversary at the beginning of this month to Alaska... so, the first email i got from her when they got home was You'll never guess what i found for you... and I bought some for me too: The Buttons were what she was so excited about, they are made from Antlers, she says I don't think i have seen any of these in your button jar. { true true } I have never seen anything like this ever before thought it was pretty cool! and the hand carved drink coaster is made from Recycled Glass! whoa! you'd never guess it to be glass material if you held it in your hand. its pretty cool looking in person. don't think i dare put a drink on it though, don't want it scratched...
I have Happy Mail today! last weekend one of the many many challenges for world stamping weekend at two peas was to create a flat card using only stamps, no layers, no embellishment, no glue for added pp nothing, just stamps. so the card i done for that i won the drawing in that category from Sandy {Colourful} and Its in the photo below:
Thanks Sandy!!
Okay that's probably it for this month, I did add some brads to the daisy chalk resist card below but, not gonna switch out the photo...

re-arranged my Space today *Ü*

So I mentioned this earlier, that i had a brain storm when i went up stairs this morning, in the lower right side of this photo is a scraprack, and ever since i moved it to the short table (it was facing out, and the tables were all in a tight parallel to the back wall formation) I did not walk around the table to flip through it, and when i had it on desk on the wall it was too dark in that corner for me to see anything in it. so, Today took the 6foot table i have at counter height and angled it more in to the room then angled the short table to make a V shape and spun the scrap rack around to make it flip able from the other side. then i just moved the other 6 foot table back up against the tall one, but moved the sewing machine to the other end of it. ( This is where co. plays when i have some)
This is going to be good because Storm sleeps up against the back of my feet when i am up here with him, and so now we both have a little more leg room too.
these photos were shot in full day light with two overhead lights on and two table top daylights on.
Its hard to realize but, the photos make it look much darker then really is. Although its not nearly as light as when i had an actual window near by. I keep reading that the reason my clear stamps are turning yellow is because they are exposed to light... my clear stamps are on the floor in a basket (in the dark corner of the room where you cant see them and they are NOT exposed to light)

Happy Saturday!

This is an Northwoods Image that i have been up till now too lazy to color, but yesterday morning i joined the Thomas Kincade stampede at Cornish heritage farms And I ordered both the Fishing images, So I decided I better start practicing coloring... The Sentiment is from Hero Arts. This is one of my Bellas that Sherri & Renee Gifted me with, The sentiments from Inkadinkdo and the Lace is left over from a card from last weekend. ( Seafoam white embossed on vellum) Its from Hero Arts. The Printed Paper on this card is from a pack called Marcella by K & Co. found these at Big Lots a few weeks ago. ( have some in another color combo too) Now this is something that Ethel Shared on the technique board at the stamp shack last week and i finally got it to work. ( Had to use a full sized ink pad and not the cats eye size in the alabaster to do the resist with.) the background image (SU) is stamped with Alabaster Fluid Chalk ink, and the peony color was rubbed on top of that then wiped off a bit with a Kleenex, then the Daisy (Savvy Stamps) was over stamped with Timber Brown Stazon. (same with the sentiment) There are some 1/8" holes sprinkled into the center of the daisy, then there is a bit of Diamond Glaze over the top of that, this was hard to photograph as the Glossy cardstock wants to do mirror reflections from the room. so, this card is 5X7 in real life.

I spent this am Re-arranging my "space" so I will have more photos later, I also received the RAK drawing gift from Sandy for the Two peas challenge last weekend. If you are reading this and you visit this blog from two peas. Nope I STILL have not gotten the email from them. ( the site asked me to confirm my email address (what feels like weeks ago but has really been days) and I have not received any emails from two Peas or any response to the "help me" tags i have created in the service center.(So, no telling how long it may take to get that fixed?) I Miss leaving comments...

Oh yeah one more cool thing, Jan ( My SU lady) came by the office yesterday and delivered our new books! :) I really like some of the limited edition colors they have come out with. Haven't really made a wish list yet though, but will probably get that labels set for sure. A is turning in a catalog party in a few days, so i need to take it upstairs and compare cardstock on the shelf to my wish list too. ( seems like i never have enough choices of PINK )

Have a good weekend!

Make a Wish

The verdict is IN I am so glad i ordered this spiral punch. I am loving the edges it makes... The chopper is stamped with Timber brown stazon on SU glossy cardstock. I then smeared some purple and pink colorbox fluid chalk ink on top of it and wiped a lot of with a Kleenex. the lumpy paper is from Provocraft. ( Its one of those textured sizzix pad sheets Ive had forever. the Eyelets (yep even did eyelets instead of brads) are unknown and a chocolately brown color. the Chipboard belt loop came this color and the silver organdy is an old ribbon that SU doesn't make anymore. There is also some sakura stardust on the chopper along with some White gel pen on the tires. This card is 6X6 its hard to see but the base is chocolate brown too. tfl. This is a combination of New toys, Old Toys and Borrowed toys... I borrowed this spiral punch from my MIL today ( along with her word window punch and the tool for getting the wheels to go in straight line.) I did order this spiral punch at my last party, but A has one coming up soon so, this is a test drive for the others. This card is 5X7 and the su backgrounds are just a little too small to do the whole front at once in this size and when you are trying to stamp up side down its hard to line them up for the second print... ah well, the Print patterns and Canvas backgrounds are from SU. the Make a wish is from Northwoods ( its been colored with marker to make it fit that punchie) and the Lace flower is from Penny Black. the fiber is from Fibers By the Yard. and the green scalloped paper was cut with a revolution QK die on my cuttlebug. ( It looks like it could be a 10 minute cardlift card? ~ Thanks Louise!) but, actually this ended up taking an hour to make... tfl.

Some Quick Cards from Last night

Yesterday evening i was reading some threads about 10 minute cards ( You know for submitting to take ten) well the truth is most my cards take me 30 minutes (or more) so, i told my self lets see if you can do ten minute cards... ( that was the goal) (it did not happen) this first card i did,I sanded the chipboard slide then i patted the chipboard slide into a versamark Olympian green pad, and it was kinda green with some yellow peeking out, so then i looked at small word stamps, and these from stampendous fit so i stamped them on a scrap of yellow paper, so i had this slide and the rest of the card fell into place around that. the big yellow flower is silk and the smaller one is a greenhouse felt one from American Crafts. This is an A-2 sized card on perfect plum cardstock the pp is from DieCutsWithaView, and the yellow hand made pp is from Provocraft (i think?)
This is the second one from the scraps of the first card, the zig zag stitch (Hero Arts) is done in the Olympian green also, the Hero Arts pastel Petals are done in Milled lavender distress, and the small real flowers are done in a second generation of dusty concord.
Today i have the day off and so far on the list, i have come across a thread about unmounting stamping up wheels ( Which excites me as i don't get very good impressions with mine, probably a wrist thing) and the second thing i seen today that looked pretty interesting was the directions for a Joy Fold card. ( a flat back of cardstock with two flaps scored and overlapped across the front that tie close with a ribbon) looks like something fun to try.
J is out side with a side walk stand trying to sell used (duplicate) Yu-Gi-Oh cards... (there is a thing tomorrow he's going to at the library) He's decided he wants to have Guitar lessons...
I may try to sneak in a few photos of this later... he's been out there since before 9 am...
(And 6 whole people have walked by is the latest update... No buyers though)
have a good day!

I stamped and i stamped and I'm still stamping...

this one was done kinda tongue in cheek... the very last challenge for wsw is to make a card a guy would like not necessarily a card a woman would think a guy would like and one of the male peas said oh where did i leave my Victoria's secret catty... the smaller corsets are from ReyFey the largest one with the bow is from Hampton Arts, the sentiments from Catslife Press and the zigzag stitch is from Hero Arts. World Wide Stamping Weekend @ Two Peas... this is what i have done so far in the last 24 hours... I hosted a Stampin Up party yesterday morning so i started with the challenges about 3 pm yesterday and now its 3:30 today... so far i have done 10 personal cards and only one i don't like... :) this card above and below was done for Godelieve's vellum challenge. (its not posted there yet, we've killed that site at least twice so far today.) the Holly Berry Image is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with ranger seafoam white. (same stuff on the Hero Arts lace image) these are stamped repeatedly and cut out and layered to the watercolor paper card. this is a Micheal's one dollar sentiment stamp. This was done for Dawn's bella Challenge, this is the other image that Kim gifted me with recently and this is the first one i have played with, there is pink liquid pearls in the sequins and on the pp in the centers of the flowers. This is one i did with watercolor crayons for the challenge that i hosted a couple of hours ago, its a Penny Black image and the mat is green vellum with an hero arts swirl stamp on the edges stamped in Stampin Up's vanilla craft ink (which has a green tint to me) and then heat embossed in clear. I cut out the edges and there is no adhesive under that part of the vellum so the light travels through it like windows. (really cool in person) This is also for the no ink challenge i hosted, the tag is stamped with stampin up stamps and paint. the beach image is a RAK from Pam and this is the first time i have played with it too. I'll do a tutorial photos of the ones from My challenge in another post later.
This is the only ugly one, its colored with Sparkling H2o's
(it was for an unused stamp challenge and i have never used this one, it
came to me in a large lot auction win and i set it aside last year and forgot about it)
the balloons stamp is from Peddlers Pack and the sentiments from Impress.
This one is for a solid flower challenge, the real dill stamp is from Hero Arts,
and the sentiments from A Muse Artstamps.
this was for a 2 stamps on the card challenge.
The dress is from stamps Happen, and the sentiments from
Inkadinkado
this was for a stamps only flat card challenge,
It was pretty much done just like the reverse mask stamp
challenge card posted below on a thread from last week or so?
with the little shoppers.
this one the lace & sentiment are from hero arts, the background is from
stampin up and the veggie dress is from Karen Lockhart stamps.
And I won the rak give away drawing for this challenge card
This was for a "seaside" themed challenge, this is 6 different
shell stamps the three largest ones are from PSX and then smaller
ones are from Stampin Up. they are all stamped with versafine
vintage sepia on an tea dye distress foil transfer background, there
is a bit of prisma pencils scribbled into the shells. this one is 6X6 in real life.
the pp is from Basic grey and the stentiments also from Stampin Up.
this was for a distress background challenge and if you look close
at the corners of the tag, you'll see a paper towel...
The fishing vest is from karen Lockhart stamps and the sentiments from MSE.
:)
I will update this later, the guys want to go to home depot.
(and it closes soon)

Thanks!

Thanks for the emails and the comments we are on the mend again. :) (and even sipping coffee! whoo!) went up stairs yesterday to start cleaning up for the stamping party on saturday and came across an envelope stuffed with images from Pam. this Emmerson is one of them and the first thing i have played with in there. I colored it with Prisma pencils and its up on pop dots. this card is 5X7 in real life. the stripe pp is from Creative Imaginations, the Wish stamp is from Stampendous, the U is from Hero Arts, the were here are MM magnetic letters from the CK Stenography set. the Blue ink is Nick Bantock Cerulean Azure. (which right at the end i managed to smear across the bottom but the paper is distressed looking and all the inked edges it doesnt really take away much. ( as it would on a perfectly clean card) could this be why i end up inking the edges of almost everything?? haha. the brads are karen foster loopy brads. I also had Happy mail yesterday, Fern sent me this beautiful card done with that Stampin' Up Doodle flower, I totally love the colors of this and then on the inside, (she's really smart) She used some removable adhesive to stick chipboard slides to the inside front of the card, so this card went through the mail in a regular envelope with first class postage! Today is another short day at work and more cleaning on the agenda... have to figure out what to feed people tomorrow too. I know most people wont eat, but Alice will need something. ( she's so skinny it will make her sick to not eat for the time they will be here) So that's hard because you know in your brain that it should be something "good" but, you want it to be something like a "treat". I am also hosting one of the Challenges at the twopeas stamping board world wide stamping weekend this sunday. (and will squeeze in a random RAK on saturday) the challange i am hosting sunday is at 11 am for people in the pacific time zone. I know there are huge threads for this at Peas if you want to check it out and see what that translates into for you... the challenge is to make something stamped (without using ink) and you have to upload a photo of it into the two peas stamping gallery and link it to the thread i start on sunday. (its ok to put it in your blog or another board, but, to be in the drawing you need to upload to peas.) if you don't have an twopeas account you'll need to create one. (its free).two peas in a bucket Hope you all have a chance to come and play!

Really Sick at my house here

yuck yuck and more yuck. Just a quick note, if you don't hear from me, I'm still alive, and moving around more then the guys but... hopefully this passes quickly. I have so much to do. ( why does that happen when your not so up to doing it?)

Vintage Girlfriends Card

Good Morning, this is just a simple one i just put together. We were supposed to go to Medford this am and run some errands and shop, but Tim was up all night sick, so He's back in bed and i am just puttering around. the Little shoppers is from Art Impressions, and the sentiment is from A Muse Art stamps, there is some Basic Grey pp, K&Co. pp, and the buttons from My Minds Eye. this is 5X7 in real life. I think my "Muse" likes this style way better then doodles. This card pretty much assembled it self in about 30 minutes. ( still haven't done one i like in the ten minute range...)It looks like there's some time to go clean up the mess i made and perhaps toss another one together. TFL & have a good weekend!

More Doodle this cards

I am thinking that i am very glad i borrowed this set rather then just plunking down the moola on it...Because I am also thinking i am doodle flower challenged. Not sure if the colors are just too "elegant" for the freestyle-ness if the flower or what. This card above is the third thing i have done with the set so far and the one i like the best of the three (the first one is in yesterdays post) the sentiment stamps are from that Ali Edwards kit of the month thing i have previously whined about. and stamped in chocolate chip dye ink. This card is 5X7 in real life and the shipping tag is up on pop-dots. the cardstocks from SU. the tag topper is a die cut from Quickuts, and the brads are from Joann's. there is some prisma pencil just scribbled into the petals but, not blended. this one is 4 x6 and the second thing i have done with this set, I think the problem is the colors and i don't have an actual "idea" for them, just seen way too many cool thing go through the gallery at split coast a few months ago and have had it in my mind that i "needed" this set too... the pp is from Die Cuts With A View and the petals of the doodle su flower are cut out with deco scissors. the smaller petals on this are from the Hero Arts doodle leaf flower. the brads from Lasting Impressions and the ribbon is one of the Martha Stewart ones at Michael's.

Doodle Flower

I borrowed this stamp set from A ( to see if i really really need to own it before it leaves the book) and this is the first thing i have done with it so far. I actually do not like this card, not sure if its the colors or the masking. It's 5X7 in real life, the reddish color is cranberry crisp ( which i will buy one more pack of before its gone) I'm having a SU party at my house in (which i have not done in this house since we moved into it...) The sentiment is from Hero Arts. Today is the last day of school here and so, its also the last time i have time to go to the store by my self during the day, and i think shopping is on the agenda as soon as i leave work. I got an email that the scrapbook garden has some yummy looking pp in now... Probably have to make some time to go there too. :) Have a good day!

Busy Busy Month so Far...

We Went to a small traveling carnival that came to town a few weekends ago, this was shot looking up at the Ferris wheel before we got on. haha does that face make you think move that car ! ? ! lol It never fails to amaze me to see photos of myself. I am always thinking wow do i really look like that? I have happy Mail! I sent Meg some of the Bella's i have to play with and she sent me back this one as a TY. The cards 4X4 then the Matted Bella pops up over the fold, pretty cool design. *Ü* Thanks Meg! This is from Last week, just a quick cuttlebug card, it has chalks on the embossed parts, the smallest Daisy's are from Impress and the larger one is a Prima. the sentiment has old paper distress ink on it. This one is 4X6 in real life. This is a Bella Image that Kim sent to me in a Rak recently, I just colored her in today after work and matted her to a scrap of MM polka dots pp. and the Heart is a mini cuttlebug folder. there is some bling on the packages and the embossed LOVE on the heart but, it didn't photograph well. This one is A-2 in size.
