Some Personal Tags

the view early Friday am... nope did not go black friday shopping but, did go through Dutch Brothers on the way to drop off my truck at the ford dealers. ( hubs made an appointment for it to get an updated navigation system installed and they only halfway got it in ) but, these were started on Thanksgiving night and had to drip dry the stickles... these went onto the altered boxes but, there are two of each name so the others will go on packages later.

a closer look, and yep, you can click on these to enlarge them.

so as it happens a few years back I had made some "personal" tags for my family to re-use. they have alphabets on them J, S, T for Christmas packages... and I had made 3 with an S on it, and every year I get grief about there not being enough S tags... so, I started out doing that... the bird is chipboard and stained with distress stain ( as was the tag) which was then run through an sizzix embossing folder. the letter S is an actual wooden disc like a vintage bingo chip but, some scrapping thing I've had for years.

had colored this wreath recently and cut it out and thought OK this can work as a tag too I guess.

I still have a little pile of these painted letters I stamped and cut out years ago, so once I had a couple of S tags I got bored with that and went back to making J & T tags lol. this one the letter was run through an sizzix basic grey folder. the tag was stained with distress ink. the sentiment ( quickly becoming a new favorite) is from Unity Stamps.

all of these die cuts were from the drawer. the name plate is a story though, you remember those chatterbox premade tags that were on QVC years and years ago? ( doesn't matter) but, I bought them and was fairly disappointed that the printing was not perfect as the die cutting so as I was staining tags the other day I realized the back sides of these things are just plain non coated cs... lol flipped some over and gave them a coat of antique linen stain, so now there is hope these will actually get used.

The ornament is from the spellbinders hanging holiday tags die set, the flower is an blingy sticker thing. ( have a sheet of them will have to look up the mfg. info. later.

now the A's kinda HUGE so, decided to see how it looked without a tag behind it.

think it does not look too bad. this is actually kraft colored paper and that ribbon is red and cream but, shot this one on auto since it was in a dark corner of the room with no lights... one thing is wrapped... guess we should work on putting up the tree next. haha.

I've had this snowflake for years off of something Alice gave me, been waiting to recycle it for years. I added some antique linen distress acrylic paint to the top with this Tim Holtz button June gave me that I have been hoarding too. so, I think maybe I can get into this making S tags if I use up stuff I have been hanging onto just because, I like how it looks...

cool stuff eh?

the wood shape is a camera body ( retro) with an T bead in it.

for one of J's female friends.

hee hee found these GI brads in the eyelet outlet site. fun stuff.

these rhinestones were little boogers to attach had to wad up the micro sized glue dots to make them small enough to tuck behind them.

another one for me, the birdhose was stained first then later sprayed with walnut ink. there is raffia poking through the nesting hole and the felt poinsettia is from MM. the letter charm is unknown. made the tag shape by hand from a piece that I ran through the cuttlebug chicken wire folder.

have a couple non personalized tags will post them tomorrow.

a few more Christmas things

This is two diecuts from the spellbinders labels hmmm 25 I think that are just tied together at the top with some cream hemp string, the poinsettia basket is from Personal Stamp exchange colored with copics and the sentiment is from Unity stamps. the ribbon is may arts and this one fits inside an A-6 envelope.

a closer look at the popped up part. the bingo cards is a free printable found on pinterest last year or the year before will look for a link later. the 25 is an tim holtz sizzix diecut that was then cut out with an spellbinders die. the doily is from wilton. the green bazzill was cut with an spellbinders die and the card shape is the other Sizzix die I got in the mail on tuesday.

this folds flat to become an 5" square card in real life. the button is a craft one Ive had for years and year. best guess is probably a dress it up button. the sentiment reads wishing you a blessed Christmas and the card becomes an easel.

needed something to hold gift cards for people at work and so, these boxes were altered for that, the name tags are all drip drying still. the sentiment is from Unity stamps the pp is from Basic grey. these are 3" clear bags boxes. and the lace is vintage. the slidemounts are blingy green plastic, I've had them for a very long time and no clue where I got them from any more.

the aftermath and more Christmas things

the ever popular question of how much did you sell is well see for your self.. this much... ( those are most of the price tags there was one repeat customer who always says no, she wants the price tags so. hers are not in that basket, but I think I did get 99.9% of them off the purchases. )

so, after I got everything put away on sunday and all those tags sorted by price again to re-use them this year I started in on a Christmas card order figuring I can use anything she does not pick for my self. this one the paper inspirations sentiment came to me via either wish rak or the pif threads years ago and I color dusted some antique linen distress on that panel. its 5 1/2" square in real life.

which of course gives you one scrap suitable to become a 3" card... so these were done from the scraps on the table.

and then I got the bright idea to actually start die-cutting some of my Christmas dies... to make things to make cards and had to stop in the middle of that to do this card. ( its A-7 in real life) and this was the end of sunday's projects.

today when I came home I decided to assemble some of the diecuts and kept pushing them around on the other scraps but, liked how this popped on the red so glued it together. Love this IO sentiment.

now this die was just delivered today, the cropstop store had a sale site wide a week or so ago and it did not exclude anything so, I picked up two of these dies. ( this one is named flip its card ornate  {what a mouthful } and its an BigZ size one. and so, I cut it with the green bazzill once and then cut the holly basic grey pp in it twice. and then that is double sided pp so the green layer is the backside of the holly. used that same IO sentiment on the back side of this flip out piece.

and I finally managed to get this spellbinders layered poinsettia to look halfway decent. ( used a stylus on the back side of the petals then pinched them together)

that jumbo pearl is from Recollections and the ribbon is from Offray.

this one the greens look a little better together in real life than shot, it wanted to over expose this pair every thing I tried. the top Polaroid style panel is a piece of watercolor paper that was dyed way back when with Paas Easter egg dye. the ornament is a spellbinders holiday tag cut in the stardream shimmer green serpentine and the sentiment is from IO the poinsettia is from the spellbinders layered die.

there are two of these and the center pearls are from K&Co. they are A-2 in real life.

Shepherds Market 2013 { day 1}

The new addition to the display this go around is those walls behind the ladders to hang things on, we found these at a yard sale this last summer for 50.00 and so, they have turned out to be pretty handy. have informed hubs he should work on designing some more of them to fit down the space in this hallway and then I could just buy new fabric for all of them to match.

all of these were hand held in basically the dark so if you click on these photos to enlarge them they will pix-elate... I think at the end of the 10 hours today about half of what I had taken with me has sold. ( more than any 2 day total every for this fair booth) and so, tomorrow morning will start out looking a little bare.

last minute stuffs...

this one is 4 1/4" square in real life.

I'm keeping this one as a personal tag and the three below also.
