Catching Up with Happy Mail

This one was hand delivered yesterday... Ü Alice made this for me, the story is before i had to go back to the Dr. I said as part of a conversation with Alice that the whole trip is based around an hour and a half of when i get to do the "amazing Stacy routine" so this made Alice see me wearing a cape and flying through the air...
so this is part of the inside, the super bella is on a spring.. :)
This card came to me via wishrak from tiffgaum. Thanks Tiffany! the black square have some kind of glass? plastic flat blocks on them, really gives it the illusion of tiles on the card front.
recently I did an image trade with Pesc, and Pascale sent me this card with her images. :)
Now this one is the first card that i have received with those glass bumps that each one of them arrived intact. love the corners on this and the colors which surprised me, i usually don't use peachy colors much but this looks super with the soft sky. this came to me via the PIF ribbon swap from BrandiP. Thanks Brandi!
a look at the lumps.
This one came to me via the PIF ribbon swap also from Isewquilts. thanks Joy. in case you missed the shadow that big flower on the right is dimensional in real life. :)
This card is such an unexpected color combo to me for the what it shows. the drink is all blingy and beautiful. the envelope had four holes in it where the corners are clipped on the main panel and a few crumbs of broken glass bits inside the envelope, so what i suspect is this had those same glass bumps as the card from Brandi and Megs (below) not really sure. I know i asked what these things are called but, i don't remember the answer anymore sorry.
this beautiful card came to me from Meg, the paper are some of my very most favorite basic grey ones and i just love this. ( she sent it to me with some PIF images recently) Thanks Meg!
This one came all the way from Canada via wish rak from Darla Ryan!
Darla thanks so much! ( have you made any wishes yet?) love the way the ribbon is attached through the buckle on this... I know i should shoot these cards faster (like when i get them) sorry. but, just so you know i did get all of these. Thanks ladies!!

new stamps and or recent cards...

This one is 4 1/2" x 6" in real life. Stamps on this include Stampscapes, Lakeside cabin, ducks in formation, cloudbar, Judi kins Aspen birch background, Northwoods Bare branch Birch. (Sentiments from A Muse) Lots of masking going on, these were all stamped with India Ink black on Hammermill 110, then colored with prisma pencils. the green textured mat is Bazzill and the blue shimmer cardbase is stardream.
Something simple but, still cute. image is Penny Black ladybug love, the sentiments from SU. (fancy flexible phrases)
Found this Inkadinkado sentiment yesterday in Salem, cracked me up. so this was just a quickie from today, winobella is stamped with ranger Adirondack pitch black on gp110 and colored with copic markers, pp is from Bo Bunny Press, ribbon is May Arts, and the shimmery pre made card is from DMD industries. this is A2 in real life.
Did this one before we went to Portland, the Impression Obsession small light house is stamped on Hammermill 110 with Versafine vintage sepia, colored with prisma pencils. A Muse sentiments stamped in India Ink Black. the brads are MM, the blue pp mat is an reverse side of an Papersalon paper. the handmade paper is from Creative Imaginations, the naturals cardbase is from SU (when their 12X12 was NOT 12x12 in real life size)
Had the 6 months check up on friday. (was really 4 months though since the last one) and so now my noise is doubled. lost the wind program ( which is Ok have not really been using it much) and then now i have a less high pitches into the mix program to replace it... for when I'm doing things that make my head hurt, which i don't really do, but when i feel trapped in the office listening to the "bad noise" or J's video games it cuts some of that out. it sounds a little strange after hearing "everything" for the last 4 months so each time i try it since i got it i end up switching it back to the hear everything program... Picky picky. Don't have to go back again until right before Christmas, but can go back sooner if I want to.

(been doing some Precious moments people lately and tossing them in the trash, they tend to look like corpses or something...)
Poppy Fields hedgeie... colored with prisma pencils, A Muse sentiment. the ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Little bit of Dried Marigold distress ink color dusted around the image. The diamonds in distress embossing was done on a scrap of ruby red, the plain blue mat is unknown, the mat under that is soft sky with the paisley patterned stamped in not quite navy ink on it. the cardbase is Bazzill. the buttons from that scrap store in Medford, they have made this thing near the check out called scrap cafe, not sure if thats a brand name or not though. but, you can stick your hands into the barrels of buttons sorted by color and buy what you want...
This is a Pay It Forward Image swap birdy. ( mind is blank as to who make it or what not... think i may have snagged it from Christina though?? will check my notebook later.) got the large rectangle nestibilities set in the mail yesterday. ( so been cutting up scraps left and right lol) so this was done with some scraps laying around... the yellow pp inside the frame is actually the reverse side of the sunflower pp from Bo Bunny. the sentiments from a new su set i just got from Alice's last party the set name is "many happy returns" so this was stamped with a tombo marker on a scrap of PTI sweet blush. ribbon is unknown. this card is 5X7 in real life.

My friend Alice did little shopping when her husband took her away for their Anniversary last week... and this is something she picked up for me. cool beans eh? :)
the dirty girls have started a new round of challenges for the fan club this summer. ( I did a whole bunch of these last summer and had a blast) yesterday was the first day and after dinner last night i started on the first one. This one is to create something around a favorite piece of ribbon.(note if you are not a fan club member that link will not take you anywhere sorry) well, you may remember i have used this piece for inspiration before and never cut into it... its vintage from the embellishment studio and was offered after i let my membership go and Linda gifted this to me and it think its one of the most gorgeous pieces i have ever seen. and oh my gosh i actually cut into it.. ( still have a big piece left whew!) ;)
whole shebang, this card measures 5X7 in real life, cardbase is su kraft with the baroque motifs swirl stamped in fresco vatican wine chalk ink. Sentiments from Outlines. (and up on popdots) the pink cardstock is Papertrey Ink sweet blush, the burgundy textured cardstock is bazzill. the prima paper flowers have some PSX rose quartz glitter glue in the centers. ( yep, that bottle still works, before ranger made this (after PSX closed) they made the original bottles)
This was the last card i did on sunday night after it was too dark to photograph it, found it on the table last night and thought oh yeah, may as well shoot it too... the little butterfly hedgehog is the second Penny Black one i bought in the eBay auction with the daisy one.. this card is 4 1/2 x 6" in real life. the printed paper is creative imaginations, the plain stiff blue grosgrain is unknown, the patterned ribbon is American Crafts (it reverses the colors and patterns on the other side feels nice to touch too) the mini brads are from MM. the blue cardstocks are from the scrap bin and unknown.

This afternoons cards

unfortunately i needed a sympathy card, and this has been stuck in the back of my mind most of the weekend, fortunately I have a small stash of this friendly light image both as a granted wish and a snagged PIF image from Photoholic. ( Thanks Shannah! ~ I'm probably gonna snag more of these some day) Its colored with prisma pencils. the mat is Kraft (SU) the printed paper is one of the oldest ones i own. think maybe dcwv. ( from the one and only pad stack thing of pp i ever bought) I like this one, this was i think the last scrap of it... the cardbase is Bazzill. the ribbons either May Arts or from one of those Joann's Christmas rolls (before they started putting their name on everything) its 5X7 in real life.
Finishing the card i needed has some relaxed me enough that i feel like i can do what ever again... but, not really up to doing some read the latest technique and follow the directions. so just another simple one. This is my first ever D Morgan stamp that i actually own, its called Boat scene (from stamps happen) its colored with prisma pencils. the mat is unknown, the blue mat is bazzill and the ribbons from a one dollar no mfg roll i found at big lots here a few years ago when it first opened. ( stiff scratchy stuff but an interesting color combo) this one is also 5X7 in real life.

last night kittys...

I received both these penny black kitty images from CatCrazy a few days ago via Wish Rak... ( Thanks Janice!!) they are both colored with prisma pencils... funny thing, this is the first one i bought. so i now own this kitty... the sentiments from Hero Arts and stamped with a tombo marker on a scrap of certainly celery. the blue textured mat is Bazzill, the card base is really rust. the yellow trim ribbon is from Basic Grey (the baby collection) This one ended up about 5X6 inches in real life.
A Little bling on the flower petals view...
This one is 6 inches square in real life. don't know this kitty's name yet but, its now on my wish list... (yes if there were smileys in here one rolling its eyes would appear to you about here...) Sentiments from A Muse, the ribbon i believe is su (from Rainy's ribbon swap a few years ago? not sure what the color is but best guess is more mustard.) the red dots pp is from lasting impressions. the yellow mat and textured cardbase are bazzill.
Have a good weekend!

First Hedgies

Ah, I have found a new obsession... Penny Black CUTE stuff... :) this is one of two older Hedgehogs that came in the mail yesterday... they are a little easier to color then the house mouse stamps and still fun. this ones called Daisy hedgehog and the sentiments from A Muse. this is 6 inches Sq. in real life. the pp is left over from when i did my sisters wedding album (years ago now) know its K&Co. but not the actual paper names, the wide gingham is a scrap (unknown) the yellow hemming stretch lace is from Wrights. the textured cardstocks are Bazzill and the white is GP110. May add some stickles to this later... still thinking about that one. The edges of the scalloped oval cut (nestibilities) are color dusted with distress ink. This is slightly 3 d in real life also as there is a second hedgie popped up over the bottom layer.

This is 4 1/2 X 6 inches in real life.
These birthday mice came to me from Jennifer's images swap in the stamp shack a few months ago. this one is stamped on the backside of linen textured cardstock... ( the ones that were stamped on the lumpy side all were tossed, could not color them with pencils...) the textured teal cardstock is bazzill, the yellow ribbon is Offray. the cardbase is Paper Trey Ink spring moss. this is 4 1/2" x 6" in real life.

on a roll

this stamp (Stampa Rosa having a sleigh ride) arrived in the mail yesterday, so i colored one last night. the sentiments from SU. (happy winter) the mat under the mice is stardream chiara aqua marine (shimmer cardstock) the pp under that is from Basic grey (fruitcake collection) the satin ribbon is from Papertrey ink (auqa mist) (as is the card base) this card is 5X7 in real life.
rubbed some diamond stickles onto my thumb then added a layer to the "snow"
This cutie is an PIF image from AJITZI ( Thanks Mimi ) from Penny Black called so happy to catch you. the sentiments from SU (define your life) the background PTI white is stamped with the old SU french script in black. the ribbon is unknown, the pop-dotted sticker doo-dads are from K&Co. the cardbase is that newer neutral su came out with a few years ago that i can never remember its name... (and Alice has my book ) so, this one is also 5X7 in real life.
Very lumpy button...
another of those yard sale finds... the bear is from Comotion Stamps, the huge green ric-rac is from May Arts, the green meshy looking fabric is from MM. the background pp is the reveres side of the Basic Grey fruitcake pp in the first card i made this morning. the mat under the bear is PTI Spring Moss. there is some DMC embroidery thread in the button holes... this button is either out of one of that co that sells them in the big grab bags or its vintage... ( no way to know my buttons are in antique canning jars)
this one originally the plan was to start doing two cards same design, so I have two of these silent mice colored the same in my tin and the first one i started to trim it down and went in too far with the cut, so cut it all the way out and used pop dots (1/16) on it to layer to the one not cut yet.
the mice are stamped with versafine on gp110 and colored with prisma pencils. the lace was bought at a yard sale last year. the sentiments from SU (all holidays) the blue shimmer is star dream, the mat around the mice is another scrap of basic grey. the burgundy textured cardstock is Bazzill, the cardbase is Whisper white. this one is 6 Inches square in real life.
on a side note, we live across the street from a Jr. high school and Tim went over this morning to play with his metal detector ( I call this playing gopher for future reference so you know what that means) while he was there a young white lab puppy found him. so far we have found out from the AKC (the only tag she is wearing) that her owners live in a town about 30 miles south of us, and gave the akc a phony phone number... 22222222222... dumb people, so we are gonna take her by the vets in the am and see if she has a beeper in her back... and maybe her owners gave out their names or phone number to them... the only thing the AKC could tell us is her name is Abby, which she answers to. best guess is shes about Grace's age.

last nights cards

This is a PIF image from mlandrum ( Thanks Mel!!) its totally fun to color ( think its a whippersnapper ~ girl turtle w/flower) the small paper flower with the stamen is either savvy stamps or Impress. ( but i bought it from Impress)
the this weeks PIF challenge was to use three embellishments, and so when i was mostly done with this card, that sentiment (stampotique Originals) has a smaller stamped heart right under where that big brad is so i poked in one more hole and added the brad (unknown) both ribbons are may arts, the stripe pp is from My Minds Eye and the polkadots is a double sided one from fancy pants. Sewing is only in the mats. this is 5X7 in real life.
This image is from Great Impressions, found that stamp at a yard sale on friday. the sentiments from Hero Arts. the perfect plum mat (su) and cardbase (blue shimmer is from Stardream) wired trim is from May Arts. this one is 4 1/2" x6" in real life.
Another PIF image, from racechair (who uses totally yummy paper to stamp on) :) Thanks Steph! this one is called the need for caffeine. The textured cardstocks are bazzill, the sentiments from TAC, the satin ribbon is from a Joann's grab bag i picked up last Christmas. this is 4 1/2" X 6" in real life also.

Yard Sale goodies and Happy mail...

the stamp on the left i received images of it from PIF and i just I have wanted this stamp for a long time. found an ebay seller a few weeks ago that has new stamps (for less then anyone else selling stamps happen for new) and so i did a buy it now then added two more stamps to the pile because ebay had sent me a free shipping coupon... so the stamp on the right everyone one ebay is calling it the english robin (inkadinkado sketches collection) but it just has a number on the side.
this is the third stamp. Stamps happen D Morgan Boat Scene. ( it barley fits on a quarter sheet)
This one i was lucky enough to snag from Jada's sale she had a duplicate i think. PSX.
now then i went to yard sales yesterday and i picked up these stamps in the morning and they told me they would put out more stamps at one pm... so i went back at one pm.
and i added these,
and this and the very last stamp in this post ( the cute girl i think snake)
these stamps were all inside one big Ziploc baggie together for 2.00
(may become blog candies they are new stamps and old vintage size wood ( twice as thick as now a days stamps) but still pretty silly...remember these things?
hey if you don't like snakes ( even cute ones) do not scroll down past the next photo (buttons)
I picked these up at June's yard sale. vintage buttons (large ones) inside baby food jars... they had a lot more of them but, these were the most interesting to me ones.. gonna sort through these later today when we get home. snake photo below...
I don't think i have ever noticed a snake stamp ever before so it cracked me up to find this. mostly because of Julies vehement dislike. I don't actually like snakes but, i thought this was really cute... and Cute has become very catchy and caught me. :)
I remember being part of scrapbooker boards and seeing "cute" things on people pages and really not liking them because the cute things really took away from the photos... esp. the elaborate things (paper pieced and what not) just really is not my thing, and since then i have found i like cute things on cards... its a funny thing to learn about your self. its almost like a don't ban me from the "real" stampers club but, i am going cute. there its out of the closet now... haven't done an altered anything in just about forever. and I'm OK with it too... ha, gotta run more yard sales again this morning. have a good day!
