Sending Loving Thoughts

a closer look at the MM rose ( its from an older line something vintage finds?) something like that, the Hero Arts stitched hearts was heat embossed on the kraft and cut out with pinking shears. the lace is vintage.

saving this one for hubs unless I make up something I like better between now and then. the problem with making things in advance is I hide them then I find them after ( months after) the event and I end up tossing something else together at the last minute. this one is 6" square in real lifel the pp is from MM also.

just scraps that seemed to work together, not sure where that charmed sentiment came from. its not a thing I ever say. the baby one is from Hero Arts.

more scraps but, this one is 5 1/2" square in real life the stamps are all from the MFT just my type set. the key on the tag is from 7 gypsies. and the shipping tag was trimmed to fit. the brown brad is from eyelet outlet.

Spring Mix

This is an elyzbells image that Leigh Anne rak's me years ago. its been laying on the table colored for a couple of months now and thought you really should make it a card before you have to dust it. haha.

that "ribbon" is felt from M's a year ago at Christmas time I think. this one is 5X7 in real life.

Sizzix bunny diecut over MFT scraps die cuts. with an Kaiser pearl for the eye and vintage lace.

done from the card aboves scraps this one is 3 1/2" square in real life.

more scraps. the Happiness background was heat embossed with this pink on baked brown sugar and cut up a long time ago so there are still a few more pieces of it on the table too.

3" in real life.

these are also 3"

the one on the left is 3 1/2" square.

Featured Stamper Thanks

a closer look this can be clicked on to enlarge the photo. I had color dusted some antique linen distress on the flower panel before embossing and the sentiment tags also. its that same textured natural white cardstock as the base. ( which is A-2 in real life) the black mat is basic black and the burlap string is from May Arts.

These were done because I had seen this card of Cary's this morning and I totally fell in LOVE with those beads in the glass. and by the time I got around to trying it this afternoon I knew that the changes I was going to make were to switch the sentiment and move it to the other side of the bloom but, I had not realized until I came in the house just how many changes I made... Ooops.
at any rate I really like how these turned out and will try to remember to do this again some time.
( UTTEE with micro beads) I also may be minus a few finger prints as I had colored and diecut these blooms before I embossed them.

Be Happy

I already forgot who makes that printed paper. ( I'm rolling my eyes here) the green panels are scraps from the Christmas cards last sunday? monday? something like that. the Happiness chalkboard sentiment is from My Favorite things. its up on pop dots.
( got this set in my stocking this year, its good to be in-charge of that stuff ;)
The ribbon is from Joann's its part of this years Christmas line it ties OK not as stiff as you would expect seeing that texture. its kinda thin, which is OK because, that lends to the tie-ability I guess. this is 6" square in real life.

Random Hearts and Such

The shipping tag ( size 8) was stained with barn door distress and the heart was heat embossed direct to that with some white SU powder. the XO tag is a digital printout find from pinterest over a year ago now. ( I am trying to go through the drawer of stamped and colored and a few printed things with diecuts and use them up) will I use them up completely? oh no for surely not because, I keep making more but, the drawer is pretty stuffed so.. this is a two-fold thing make some new stuff for the basket at work and make some space in the drawers.

the sentiment is a digital print out and the heart is heat embossed with some ranger red powder the roses are from Wild Orchid crafts and the red crinkle paper came from M's years ago. the dotted banner is a diecut from a MFT die I received for Christmas ( I am in charge of my own stocking stuffers and they had a huge sale in Nov.) so, that is something I did this last week was diecut a lot of scraps into shapes to stack and play with. this is 3 1/2" square in real life.

The patterned elastic on this one is vintage, and luckily it did not go all wiggly as it went through the sewing machine ( which is typical with elastic for me, I barley tack things down in the centers knowing I want to stitch them later.) the dies in the center are mostly My Favorite Things the heart is from the Sizzix bigZ Primitive hearts die, the sentiment was done with a spellbinders labels trio die. the white patterned texture reminds me of wall paper but, its very very thin stuff that came in an assortment pack from biglots a long time ago ( no mfg info on it) the red crocheted bloom my mil made and the button is from the craft store years ago.  this is 5 1/2" square.

This tag was originally one of those Kraft ones they stains seem some much deeper on them after they dry. it was run through an cuttlebug folder after that. the doily was done sometime last year there was something I made for some FS thing I think and I made a small stack of these wilton doilies covered with old book page. ( forgot about them and discovered them again the other day) so, the glitter heart is an Sizzix diecut ( same as above smallest heart on the die) and the sentiment is from Stamping Bella. think its name is uptowngirl lucille? sends love something like that.

Did this one before Christmas and ended up not needing it, its just an altered gift sack the largest snowflake is chipboard with some pearls on it. the center is a button with the shank removed.

Did this one for J at the last minute and so, its in the basket now with the others ( we re-use these every year) gonna have to make some more T's though, one of his is getting very ratty looking. not in a distressed good way but, in a the T hangs over the tags and its starting to tear.

Feeling a little Neutral

I have spent some time this week diecutting scraps, stamping on scraps, cutting them out and not really making anything. So yesterday I decided I should make something from these piles and one of the goals I have is to play in the Whats on your Work Desk Wednesday blog hops and I always seem to make it upstairs on Thursday haha.. ( there was nothing on the table this Wednesday)

I have sold all the wedding cards I had on hand in November so, this was done with that in mind. that floral texture paper came as a scrap out of an assortment pack from big lots years ago when they first opened here. ( the shimmer under it is from M's) the heart I *think* is stampendous and the sentiment is from Gina K ( guessing here) and the heart diecut is from Memory Box. lace is vintage and machine stitched to the layers. the tan texture decided it wanted to Poof on me a little as I was going around so, its not perfectly square but its close enough I guess. I think this one could go either way Wedding or Anniversary. its 6" square in real life.

earlier in the week I had made something with Tulle on it and the scrap is still sitting on the table. ( cut in in half) to wrap around this 3" gift card. the sentiment's from SU on this one and the green shimmer is off of something else. the button is actually Tied on to this and not just glue-dotted on.

I love this there is just something so fun about tulle.

It is tied in a bow too.

While I had the box of heart stamps out I did emboss a few more of the scraps in both white and red. I never play with these stamps often so, its been a fun thing to be doing this and "remembering" just how many stamps I really have. its also eye - opening on the ones that I look at and think No, I dont want to play with that one anymore.. I have a suitcase going with things that I am feeling that over. someday I will go through that again and see if the feelings are still there and it may become time to get rid of some stuff.

but, as far as the paper goes if I like it even the smallest scrap gets hoarded for these little card. the stamps on this one are both Hero Arts.

Stocking Gift Card Holders

These were done with the Brenda Walton Sizzix die ( Stocking gift card holder) from various printed papers, lace's & trims.

These were made for specific people on my list but, I like how they turned out so, will probably make some next year for the booth.

This one was my favorite of the batch.

the poinsettia is the spellbinders layered die on these with vintage buttons.

the 25 is from the mini movers and shapers tim holtz sizzix die.

these all fit inside an A-2 envelope too.

this one the ribbon's photographed wonky they are actually a burgundy like the bloom and stocking colors.

Christmas Cards Continued

I still need a few more Christmas cards ( or I did yesterday) haha... so, these are some things I had heat embossed last time I was upstairs and they were all just sitting around on the table waiting to be played with. this image is an Penny Black one done in seafoam white on some speckletone oatmeal. the sentiments from Unity Stamps. its A-6 in real life.

This was the negative piece from one of the VSN tags I did a week or so ago and i had it laying on this unknown grid paper and liked how they looked together so, stitched down the edges and found a vintage button. the sentiment's from Verve. the base is mello moss. its 5 1/2" square in real life.

I have a pile of these SU Christmas stockings heat embossed in various colors cut out on the table too. the night before Christmas paper is from A Muse studio's and the sentiments are from Verve. these are A-7 in real life, the stockings and base are on stardream opal shimmer and the soft suede was swipped with some ranger antique linen distress paint after it came out of the mistletoe kisses folder. ( have a small stack of these done in brown and greens too)

Just a closer look at those cool vintage buttons.

This snowman is from an Old SU set (minds blank on the set name) but, I do know I have never played with it... Its always the deer scene that I used so, when I was heat embossing last time I went through all the boxes of Christmas stamps looking for ones I thought would be interesting to emboss and did so... the sentiment is from Unity stamps, the lace is vintage. The cuttlebug folders name is mistletoe kisses and the green was swiped with antique linen distress paint when it came out for a whitewashed kind of a look. These are 5" square in real life.

a frilly little thanks...

My Husband asked me for a "Frilly" thank-you card... not sure what he had in mind but, this one pasted muster the first try.

Its 5X7 in real life, the cuttlebug mistletoe kisses folder was done on some soft suede and then I ran an antique linen distress paint dauber over that for a white-washed look. the flowers are from wild orchid crafts and the sprigs are from an Martha Stewart hand held punch, the bird and cage are from Sizzix tim holtz die. ( blue bird of happiness here right?) the eye is an Kaiser pearl ( chocolate)

the kraft shipping tag was stained with some peacock feathers distress stain and the bird cage and base are stardream opal ( shimmer) so the birdcage is up on pop dots. the tulle is machine stitched to the embossed panel and the sentiment's from SU.

Last Weeks Christmas Cards

The MFT happy heart snowman was stamped on watercolor paper with versafine and colored slightly with some waterbased markers.

Paper Inspirations Sentiment

Whipper Snapper image & sentiment

This one is a Penny Black sheep with an A Muse Sentiment.

Memory Box Poinsettia (stamped twice) on a scrap gift card sized tag.

One Layer happy heart snowmen ( think these will be thank-you cards)

Verve stamps done on some scraps as gift cards.

Whipper snapper sheep done as a small thank you note.

Penny Black Sheep with an Unity sentiment.

I dont know who makes this train its one of those random unmarked wish rak things from many years ago, only colored the holly and left the rest as a line drawing with some creamy brown chalk on the edges. this embossing folder is 6" square in real life. ( minds blank on the mfg info at the moment) but, it does not emboss very well ( as other brands I own) so, I don't know if its an MFG issue or an square folder size issue. ( I am using an big shot pro in my stamp space and most embossing folders come out the other side with the paper embossed so deeply its torn) or will tear removing it from the folder... this one barely made the pattern into the cardstock.

Impression Obsession hanging mistletoe with an Unity Stamps sentiment. vintage lace some antique linen distress inking on the diecut.

I had this lady who came by the booth and bought two entire sacks filled to the brim with my cards on friday and then called me on Saturday and told me she really needed 10 more Christmas cards... so, after the booth I set aside 10 then made 10 new ones so she could have choices. but, the weather got cruddy and then she said well can you just mail them to me? how many do you have so by that time I had over 20 and said so, so she said I will take 20 of them... so, I made her a few extra's for her box and that cleaned me out. and Tim said gee I guess you better go make some more hunh? lol...

and No, I still have not mailed any Christmas cards out this year, J got a black eye in a wrestling tournament last weekend and I wanted to have a family mug shot to put into some of them... so if I get a photo during the holidays maybe I will mail them before the end of the year. ( I'm rolling my eyes we'll see)
