Last Sunday Lisa (shoegirl) was chosen as this weeks featured stamper and I picked this card of her's because, I simply loved every single detail. so, changes were to switch the circle doily forward a few layers and switch it for a heart. and all the pearls were changed to tiny brads.
This is A-7 in real life, the fancy pants corugate has some old acrylic paint rubbed on it with my finger and all the torn edges were distressed and then inked with some
tea dye and frayed burlap inks.
for laughs. because, these papers were in the scrap pile. I had diecut the sentiment a while ago but, it really faded into the print so, I scribbled some ink & water around the outside edges of it so it could pop.
one of those "had to have it" printed papers that followed me home once with no real plan of what to do with it... then this paper smooches set came in the mail sometime after and I thought. maybe.
Now this was done friday as a second trial at Robin's hope you can cling to challenge which was candy stripes... because, I had made this tag card ( below ) as a second for Barbara's challenge. ( because, I got happy mail on thursday night from Unity Stamps so, when I was putting away the leaf dies I came across the heart die and thought, you have never played with that...
( the hearts are taped together on the back side and up on pop dots) as is the stitched frame.
The thanks die is a new one to me from Hero Arts, the dot folder ( I don't remember this was pressed a while ago, I am trying to use up some of that made a while ago stuff from the drawer) and that red cardstock is some Mars shimmer from stardream. So completing this card puts me at 49 cards done and in my box to go to Texas next week. ( not sure yet what I may do to make it an even 50) ( I mean design wise, I know it will be a card lol)
when this card below was under construction this snap shot appeared on instagram because, this is what I see when I color bling, but it is not what I shoot on finished cards..
for laugh's probably headed to work. the stamps are all from Unity Stamps.
Another one that just had to be colored ASAP ( haha ) the center part of the image is up on pop dots and the skinny stitched frame is flat to the base. the gal and her horse are from the felt with the heart set by Phyllis Harris and the sentiment is from another of her set's called someone to be there.
this one is A-6 in real life.
When I had finished coloring these gals and I was debating about if I would post anything because, I had altered the liberty stamp and I really see a lot of drama on facebook regarding the flag and how it is disrespected and well you can imagine. so, I had sent this shot to my son asking what he thought and he thought Veterans would love these chicks... So this is a bling view.
Now this, this one was hard to decide to post. because, when I got her in the mail ( a while ago ) I stamped her.. and it took me a while to try to color her because, in real life her shoe, behind and hand are all on the flag. and this morning I was poking around in a charm store for the Inspiration challenge and I came across these flag charms. and I knew I had her waiting on the table where I color waiting to be colored... so, I started coloring her. and when she was done the sitting on the flag really bugged me. so I cut it off. and I liked it much better now, I think she has the perspective of being posed like a 50's pin up gal in front of the flag instead. ( its almost Veteran's day you know...) So, anyways at this angle maybe you can see the bling of her costume.
yep, I decided I would never use her sitting on the flag so I just cut the rubber off the bottom around her so that it will look like this every time I use it. ( hopefully that doesn't call down the wrath of designers on me..)because, seriously with the thousands of stamps I own ( really ) I usually just mask off things I want to alter when I stamp them. this gal's name is Liberty Gal. The thanks are from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from SU.
and while I was at it, she was stamped and sitting on the table with the other one so did a two-fer for the inspiration challenge this evening. This one is called America gal Also from Unity stamps. and the sentiment is from SU.
now this, this sentiment has been stamped for years and years... could I actually give this to someone? ( I doubt it ) but, honestly the snarky stuff sells really well for me at the booth. so, this one which uses up scraps from the card I made for my mil a week ago and the heart which was made a long time ago. this was fun to put together because, it did use up stuff.
That ribbon is from some old generic Christmas line a few years back I think ( its kinda crunchy in real life) and the heart was die cut from the paper that was lining my spray box. ( not kidding its printer paper) that was catching drips in my cardboard box until it was almost thick enough to stand up on its own... then I cut the whole sheet and lined the edges with some gold krylon pen. ( these are backed with kraft cardstock so they don't tear when I use them.
This was done because, I got this stamp in the mail on thursday night and had to play with it. and I figured if I put it on a tag it could work as a second for Barbara's Hope you can cling to challenge. the leaves are all from Impression Obsession and lawn fawn. this one is A-6 in real life. the shipping tag was colored with color bursts a long time ago.
another one headed to the booth. the holly was colored and stamped twice so, its cut out and paperpieced into the one on the front of the card. the texture is kinda random and thought it mimicked the random dots on the postage part of the image.
that printed paper is an really old one from Rubber Soul the ribbon, I never remember who makes that one ( its one of those cut by the yard ones in a store 80 miles away so when I get home I never remember anymore even thought I look at the spool every time they cut it for me) lol this one is A-6 in real life.
