75th birthday

So, I received this handy balloon punch from SU this last week ( my stamps are on backorder I guess) and I had been so excited about getting them I decided to just use the punches on scraps to do this simple card for Hubs dad who turned 75 today. He likes to tell people he is 26 ( for all the years that I have known him but, you just don't find happy 26th! on silly sentiments)  The stripe frame is up on pop dots and the balloons strings are just taped to the back sides ( even on the vellum balloons) then tied in a knot at the bottom.

This one is 6 inches square in real life, the stripe paper is from Authentique, most the other papers were scraps ( PTI vellum cardstock, dcwv, some bazzill textured cardstocks, I have mostly forgotten the prints) That sentiment is from Impress and is tied on with some scrappers floss. Anyways, we did go hand deliver this and I think he enjoyed it.

This is cool. I love all the similar colored yet wildly different balloon in a bouquet like that. Hope you hubby enjoys his 25th 29th birthday!

Love the balloons in all the different patterned papers. So beautiful and elegant. And perfect for a man with the dark colours. I bet he loved his special hand-made card. xx

Love that card, Stacy and using the balloon dies without the stamps looks super. I do have to say, though, that sentiment stamp has the age in a PERFECT place to mask the 26 and then stamp or draw in any other age. Just sayin'...for a future use... ;-) xoxo
