So, this is a tuesday afternoon when I got home from work shot, I had hauled up the monday Paint purchase and ( its still on the table I need to check off on the chart I have from golden about which colors I bought) and I found this housemouse image I had matted on Saturday sitting there. to the left is a stencil I had used to spray ink through on top of a gelli print that turned into a card on saturday.
a peek at new Penny Black floral stamps I picked up with the paint. to the right is a pressed fern from my yard from 2003 ( ha my pressed florals are dated) lol and its very flat so, its prints were not that detailed. I am thinking I will try this again with jucier ones in a few months.
Now this is really from last friday night. I broke my 6" gelli plate out of its packaging and made some prints.
and Saturday AM I re printed over the tops of some of them. and I seen a cool thing on facebook. someone had bought like a sock hanging (with clips) drying holder thing. ( think of a rectangular lamp shade frame with clips) and they had all the prints hanging to drip dry. I think I may start looking for something like that. these are mostly on dry wax deli papers but, a few were done on some old handmade paper that had flakes of bits of straw and floral petals in it. ( that stuff will flake off onto the plate if you are curious)

Another kindred spirit today. Yes I was using my gelli plate over the weekend. Still doing pretty basic things. My problem is not so much the drying space (lucky me) but the assistance from a certain fur ball.

Thanks for your visit and your kind thoughts. The hair is still in place - but I must admit I looked in the mirror the other day and thought there was considerably less red than before!!!!! Hmmm - not good. I know I am of great age - but I really like my hair colour It's so incredibly celtic!!!

I love playing with the Gelli plate and like you I seem to have sheets of paper everywhere. My friend who does Mono Prints has a rope stretched across the room and pegs everything onto it.

I love my gelli plate they are so much fun to play with, sadly not enough time for me to use it often enough. I know what you mean by the sock hangar you can get them in thrift shops really cheap, my mum when she was alive used one all the time to hang her sock and I hate them but a pretty good idea for the gelli papers. Oh and golden paints are the best on the market in my opinion I see they have changed the tube mine are white, but don't waste them on your gelli prints use the cheap stuff for that. Thanks for sharing your space I have really enjoyed my visit.

Lovely new paints and gelli plate, Stacy, and that's a good tip about the hand-made paper. I've got a little leather bound book with that sort of paper in it, and when you paint on it, the petals tend to lift off! Thanks for your nice comment, and I am glad I tidied up, so that it's all ready for when I start creating again! I hadn't thought of that - I only tidied up because I couldn't stand the mess any more! Thank you so much for your good wishes and prayer for my surgery tomorrow.

Return visit to say that yes! If I do decide to take everything off my desk it will be and inside and out job--EVERYTHING off. Then I can better reorg it. I do plan to photograph it. I'm not sure when I am going get a chance to do it though.... I need a clone (to send to work of course).
I am not sure whether or not I want a Gelli plate. Have held out until now. At Ikea they have a sort of clothes line that is wire and you screw it in to the wall at the two ends and it can be made taut when it slackens by turning the ends. Great for hanging things.
Would love to see the finished results.
