White on White Baby

Sometime last week I had read there was a technique challenge to emboss on vellum and I've done it both ways heat or dry many times over the years but, it stuck in the back of my mind and then I read the sneak peek for VSN that Lee's challenge was to do white on white with color OK on your sentiment. and this is a combination of those but, I think the green on the leaves is too much green to squeak by for that but, I had fun doing this anways. This particular PSX stamp is not fun to color but, it does look cool embossed.  It's an old Personal Stamp Exchange # K-1191 stamp.

the Baby is heat embossed with SU white on some PTI vellum cardstock and then that was machine stitched to a piece of stardream opal and both of those are edged with pinking shears. I have done this over and over the pull up the top layer to make it pop, it shows really well the light going through the vellum this way and the cool thing about the vellum is it holds this shape a little better than printed paper does. I just use my fingers and fold it up at the stitching line. This card is boxed and will not go into an paper envelope. the sizzix lace folder was used on a scrap of stardream opal (and that is it's name, its sold in a package from sizzix with another folder and this ones name is literally "lace") and I cut that out by hand and added some opal liquid pearls to it. the flowers are from wild orchid crafts & prima, the lace is vintage. the Congrats is from Stampendous done on a scrap of kraft and is up on pop dots.
