Teal Moose Christmas

Whew, this makes #6 (one of a kind) Christmas Cards for January. so, now have done 12 so far this year... and had a few from the week after Christmas before this challenge started so. so far so good. this is either an PIF or an Wish Rak image ( have forgotten notebook is packed up we are remodeling right now) but, its colored with prisma pencils and die cut with an labels 17. the Sentiments from the SU set called Christmas Punch, used an oval punch on it, and its not shaped the same. So ended up inking the edges with some oaisis green chalk ink. the gold thing is a button. the fabric prima flower came to me in an exchange last year from Basketbrains ( Thanks Stuffy!) the printed papers are from the newest basic grey Christmas pad. Ribbons May Arts, this is 5 1/2" square in real life. Done from the scraps of the card above, the Hero Arts lace was heat embossed with clear on blue ink on yellow cardstock ( years ago) its been sitting on the table that long. the sentiments from SU and the tag punch is an Martha Stewart one. the wired yellow trim is May Arts. This is 3" square in real life.

advice from the Easter Bunny

Sizzix bunny (green size) die done on bazzill Sentiments from River City Rubber Works...
Used an Sizzix frame Ornate #8 on the Neenah cream ( its color dusted with distress inks) and has some liquid pearls on it. the pp is from the scrap bin, May Arts ribbon, used one of those who knows who makes um folds up border punches along the edge. ( there is no mfg on these punches at all) got it at Joanns with a coupon sometime last summer i think...

RAK request

one of the gals made a request for a get well card for her boyfriend that we dont know anything about ( hobby wise what he likes or anything) so... this is a new stamp for me, love it. thought may as well get it inky...
the woodgrain and dot pp are from the cosmo cricket wanted pad, the antique crackle i forgot ( but somewhere in the last week i probably named it) the sentiments from Gina K Designs, the birds from Inkadinkado. vintage trim. I really don't like these brads, but. I don't have time to tear this apart and start over either.

VSN (continued)

This challenge needed to have the image have at least 2 different pieces of paper "paper pieced" into the image. This is an Unity stamp set that came to me last year on my birthday inside my card from my g-ma Mary... :) There is a bit of stardust stickles inside the dots of the umbrella and some yellow on the tops of her boots. Used the labels 17 spellbinders die to make the "frame" around the image. there is a bit of blue distress ink along the edges to help it POP. the photo washed out a bit. the papers are mostly scraps so, not sure who makes them. the cryogen white panel under the image was run through an craft concepts embossing folder then color dusted with same blue distress inks. the Sheer ribbon is unknown. This challenge was to use (only two layers) the color Kraft had to be used, and it had to have an encouragement theme... so, the pencil image is from Lost Coast Designs (stamped with Versafine Vintage sepia on Neenah classic cream and cut out, the sentiments from PSX. there is some karen foster tan scrappers floss tied around the sentiment and the top was done with an SU border punch. colored the tips of the pencils with prisma pencils. This was done for a challenge that needed to have the images "entwined" the Swans are from PSX and stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink on Neenah, colored with tombo markers. the button is an M's (multi pack thing from years ago) the crackle pp is a scrap from some of the other projects and the base is Bazzill. as i glued this panel to the base it looked a little crooked. and the thing with using Bazzill as a base, the plastic in that paper seems to allow me a little bit of moving time if Im quick ( and the paper is not too thin) but, this paper tore ( right under where the knot is tied in the May Arts ribbon.) those things always happen when the card is "mostly done" (I'm rolling my eyes of course)

Virtual Stamp Night (1)

If you've never heard of this "Virtual Stamp Night" you can read about it on that link... but, the Mini started tonight with 6 challenges posted... I have goofed the first two already. this first challenge had the color combo of Cherry Cobbler, Regal Rose with Kiwi Kiss, it had a sketch and you had to create a flower using punchies or dies and the only stamp could be a sentiment... ah, I thought OK you can do this... this is a 18 minute card... grabbed the color of cs first then started digging through the punchies to see what would make a flower... dont know these punchies names so tossed them into the shot with the card. I knew i wanted it to be a "small" card. (because, I assumed all my punchies would be lost on a big card) and so i made this 4 1/4" square before i had die cut the lotus pendant. the ribbon ( unknown, probably May Arts) was stapled to the card front so, since this was shot "wet" the inside cover will not be lined until its dry. after i got the lotus on, i realized there was not room for a stem so wound some fbty pea green fibers through the edges and tied on the sentiment tag. thanks for this challenge Theresa! The Second Challenge was along the lines of "show me the condition of your heart" and the first word that came to me was guarded. So, jotted down the remaining challenges after i finished the first one, took a break for dinner. did this card. loved it... then realized the base was supposed to be heart shaped... read it as a figurative type thought. "condition" for shape and the first word that came to me was guarded... that is todays word. it changes. the rivet looking paper heart is up on pop-dots and the crackle base panel is torn by hand. Thanks for this challenge Paula! This one is 6" square in real life.

Bracket Love

Recently was poking around the Papertrey ink's newest release and seen something like this ( bracket dies...) this how ever was done with an Tim Holtz sizzix bracket on the edge die. this card ended up being barley over 4" X 5 1/2" in real life. ( trimed the sides to end the edges of the card along where it had die cut. The Love Heart is from Stampin Up. ( stamped it years ago, don't remember ink or cs info) the red cs sewn to it and punched and the tag are riding hood red. the plastic 3-D "U" is (want to say doodlebug, but really don't remember anymore) (old scrap supplies) the swirly loopy border and tag punch were done with Martha Stewart punchies. the cream shimmer textured cs was run through an craft concepts budding vine folder. the gold cord is from Stampin up.
