from scraps

So, in an effort to use up the scraps on the table these cards were tossed together. this was the third and when i picked up the scrap of basic grey i had the solar white cardstock scrap in my hand and thought... hmmm, and i thought about this card that Julie posted earlier in the week for the clean and simple challenge at splitcoast and thought oh the challenge was to use paper... so this sentiment (SU Well Scripted) was stamped with Versafine Crimson Red on a scrap of thin colormates mauve that was die cut with an scalloped heart nestibility die and embossed on the edges. the Bazzill cardbase is 5" square in real life. One of the things i do, is when i stamp a sentiment on a scrap and die cut it i tend to do a second one, I have an altered tuna tin on the table that contains sentiments ( die cut or punched) and i riffle through it sometimes when i have a card and nothing to say... so this Enjoy is an SU sentiment stamped ( i don't remember when or with what) that was more or less laying on the other side of the table, the stripe pp (a scrap) the brown satin ribbon is dollar store ribbon ( soft ) the copper cord is from SU (old style that is not elastic kind. I think that label die is number 4 but don't quote me on that ;) this ones A-6 in real life. this was the first one, this started with the card base because the other day when i made the reindeer card and as i was doing the border punch for it (on this piece) it was not straight and by the time I had trimmed it to the straight parts the cardbase became too short for that card. so this card started with the green and then i started sorting through the scraps and thought will you could go red and green and what would you add, the pink was kind of a an odd thought and then the Spanish Moss stamped ornament was in the sentiments tuna tin. now the ribbon tag die ( is done in SU blush blossom has been laying on the table since i got those tag dies... so that was an fun thing to find the cardstock looked good with the pinks and reds going on in the printed papers. that grosgrain is unknown, but its soft so i suspect its from one of the ribbon shares. this ones A-2 in real life.
