WOYWW #443 {it's beginning to look like Christmas}

Happy Desk Peeking day, you can find more to see and play along here
where the hop originates at our hostess Miss Julia's Blog

The guys at work will be getting their gift cards in these cute square tins I found at Joanns fabric's so, tags are under construction for that the cream ones will get names stamped on them and I am debating about those Unity trucks on them ( they are going to stick off the edges of the tags but, its a matter of if it will look dorky or not.)

 Last weekend was our long holiday in the states we had 4 days off in a row so, I was able to organize more unmounted sentiments and put those away while hubs decided for the first time ever that we really should have out door decorations. ( all these years the answer has always been NO if I say do you want something?) He did all of this by himself ( in the rain) we have a 14' step ladder and this blue spruce tree is taller than that. The inside tree is also up and decorated.

 Last Saturday the Inspiration challenge at splitcoast stampers headed to a site called The company store where I found this felt wreath ( seen below) and loved the textures it had so, I used some Hero Arts wreath dies with shimmers and textured papers to create some layers of texture for this card. The believe sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die and the night before Christmas printed paper came from A Muse studio's. There are some bitty nuvo pearl drops on the wreath leaves ( seashell & rose gold)

Felt holiday wreath Inspiration piece.
in other news our aging lab dog Grace is going in to the vets Friday am to have a large tumor removed from her back leg. they think it's attached to the muscle and do not want her to lose the function of her leg so, it has to go. And that is pretty much all I think about lately so, I am looking forward to being distracted by what you all are up to. thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW # 442 {tired}

Happy Desk Peeking day!  You can find more spaces to view and
 or play along starting at our Hostess Miss Julia's blog where this hop starts.

Whew, it's done. It was very People-ly out there... lol I am still in the mentally getting over the booth stage. Booth mug shots can be found in this post. all the custom things are done and now I can start on things for me. I almost always pick up a few things for gifts from the market and something tends to follow me home for me. this year the for me was this huge tin dinged up measuring cup with a tiny pin hole in the bottom of it. It will fit in with all the other kitchen containers to hold things I chop up or push around on my table I think.
off to the left are some new things that followed me home from a craft store in Medford on Monday I had to make a quick pick up for ice for work and the Christmas thing were on sale there so, I picked up this stock which has mats and layers to it of dies 18 in all and those wooden snowflakes and a tiny deer/stag horns type shape die that after this was shot I made the cards below with that really quick. hubs says it does NOT look like a reindeer to him... ( horns are wrong) but, most people will not see that. I had made some custom Christmas cards over the last 3 days which can be seen in this post and the paper is a scratch off of did you get the letters right side up lol... they are pretty little)

These are both A2 size and just very simple the deer die is from X cut. and the sentiment is a Hero Arts one. I think they are cute.

Booth Display {Mini Coffee Cups take 2}

 So friday night I came home from the booth and did 6 for a ladies Grandsons, ( which evidently I did not shoot those) and her's she wanted naked on the inside. so, since I had everything out. when I went to bed that was on the table when I woke up and I decided to do another batch of them. these were done between 3:30 am and 7 am on Saturday morning.
 Just crazy I know. they all sold though and I have enough left over in the package that I can alter for me to give away too. so win win.

 they are just variations of each other. all the sentiments had been previously stamped and die cut.

each of these contain white basket filler and 3 coffee candies like the first batch.

Custom Christmas cards

 This one the wreath is from the Concord & 9th Joyful Noel set. the layers under that are from a Taylored Expressions layering tag dies. and the sentiment was done with the CK stenography magenetic alphabet set. ( I have been seriously thinking about removing those magnets and seeing about adding the glue Cheryl sent me to see if I can use them in my Misti) the magnets sometimes repel each other on the sides and they go wonky on the magnetic bar handle they have.
 I just love this Tim Holtz Christmas paper pad this year. I think I should go pick up more before its gone. The stamps are from Mama Elephant Merry Christmas Wishes set with the Margaret done on with some old Making Memories magnetic CK alphabet stamps.

 for Eli who likes to go mudding when he visits his gpa here... He is the only not an adult on this round of cards.

 A closer look at the truck, this was colored with polychromo's pencils.

The other names on his list I was able to find things in the stash that I hope will work for him. In the wrappers they are hard to see, but I did not shoot all the cards he had last year and I have this feeling in the back of my mind that some of these people may be getting very similar cards this year as, I didn't shoot them and he told me the same basic information about them. Hopefully he likes them.

Shepherd's Market 2017

 This is a 6' X 12' space inside the Gym of Hosanna Christian School. It felt really tight after having the entire hallway the last few years. but, I think that the people who were excited to find me since I moved the booth were OK with that. I know I enjoyed the having less display pieces to pack in.

 And you'll notice this booth the power actually works And the lights are on in the gym so, it made everything very visible. ( the hallway had lights at one end towards the main entrance but, not closer to the cafeteria end. This suitcase had an assortment of occasions.

 On this taller ladder there were mostly Christmas tags and gift card holders towards the top then, everyday things on the bottom. Of those tags with the "list" die on them, only 1 is left. all the others sold.

 This suitcase was Thanksgiving, Christmas and Winter. ( Probably half of it is gone)

 This corner had more Christmas tags and gift card holders with the experimental 4 oz. coffee cups ( which I sold every single one of them both days. the first 9 (including the sample) took an order for 6 grandson ones to be picked up the second day and then made 11 more for the heck of it while I was at it. ( woke up at 3:30 am) and they are all gone. ( so, I suspect there will be a rash of them around here next year lol) (that's how this works... there were 3 or 4 other booths that were selling cards this year also.)
A closer look, the old Army bag on the floor has handle bags for purchases and my 1.00 plastic table cloths I pick up at the dollar tree to cover the display with at night when its shut down. ( it gets pretty dusty) All in all I sold dollar value about half of what I normally do, but a whole bunch of people said oh, my gosh so and so thought you were not here this year and has already gone home. so, for those people who talk to each other I'd bet next year will be a better one that way.

a few more things

 This is the largest ornament in the stitched ornaments die set from Lawn Fawn, when I looked at these dies I had assumed they were going to make frames to make shaker tags but, the reality is they cut the stitched detail where you lay the die and you get a drop piece that is ornament shaped for a window. ( which is not a bad thing, just not what I thought it would do)

 These letters and wreath are from the concord and 9th joyful noel die set. the sentiments from the stamp set with the same name and the frame was done with the My Favorite things gift box cover die (twice for some depth) this originally started out to be for the clean and simple challenge to use the letters from the word NOV but, I kept getting stuck on an O word...

 This weeks color challenge uses colors that I only had the real red shade so I just kind of squinted at the monitor and called it good enough those are distress oxides on the star stamp from the Nov. Hero Arts kit of the month set, I did spray these with water before pressing and this was shot wet, there is nuvo glitter drops on the leafy parts of those vines on the stars. the ho ho ho is from Impression Obsession.

 a second attempt at that same color combo,which I like this one much better actually. The ornament is from the Hero Arts my monthly hero Nov 2017 kit.

 This was done messing around with one of those eyelash fibers wrapped on an old block drug through white acrylic paint for a background from the fallidays challenges.

 This was done to beef-up the guy birthday card stash for the booth.

 every time I make a card with this penny black dog I generally pair it with my name is bad dog for the sentiment but, I had this newer one from Impression Obsession cut and this card was built around the new sentiment actually. ( for the booth)

 wednesday after work tags from things already cut on the table.

 these tags are from the Spellbinders Shortie tags set. the ornaments on the right are drop pieces from that lawn fawn stitched ornament die set. the Noel is from echo park.

 The tree die is from Taylored Expressions trim a tree the sentiment is from Penny Black  and the snowflakes I cut last year some time so, I really don;t remember. they are topped off with a plastic shankless button.
 the sentiment on the left is from Stampin' Up, the snowflake on the bottom is a Sizzix die and the one in the middle is a Hero Arts tag snowflake die ( the one that is one of the add on's for Nov) The tag on the right is my favorite from this batch, I just love this text paper its the one in the Tim Holtz pad that is out this year and the wreath is from Concord & 9th.
 The Jingle all the way is from Taylored Expressions and the snowflake tag on the right is from Hero Arts its probably easier to see the shape of it this way than layered to a larger snowflake in the one above.
the believe is from simon says stamp, the heart is from Lil Inkers designs. the corrugate was just a scrap so, it didn't get die cut to that shape haha but, I did consider it. and tonight we go set it up so, I probably won't be making any last minute things. but, then I find it hard to sleep and do it anyways.

WOYWW # 441 {Christmas tags}

Happy Desk Peeking day! If you'd like to see more
or join in the link up for this blog hop starts here at our hostess Miss Julia's Blog.

 So, monday I received the Hero Arts November kit of the month and that I opened and cut a few tags real quick without really doing anything with them, so these are Tuesday after work shots. Under neath the Hero Arts kit is the lawn fawn stitched ornament tags dies I picked up during one of the Ellen Hutson sales the last few months and finally got around to opening them. ( I though they would make "frames" for shaker tags... but, they cut the detailing on the piece you lay the die on and you get a drop piece of a window hole. I did do one card with them but, set them aside to move on to the hero arts tags because, they are something different. more so than the other ones already hauled downstairs.

I tried the color combo challenge twice before moving on to making more tags for the booth, the Ho Ho Ho die is from Impression Obsession. We set the booth up on Thursday after work and its open on Friday and Saturday this week. Someone asked about the coffee cups. ( they can be seen in this post) I forgot whom already sorry. I think I have caught someone's cold which is not a good thing right now. I am again making rounds during slow times at work. so, Thanks for stopping by!

last weekends projects

 just more tags to fill holes in the display trays for the booth..

 there was a clean and simple challenge last week to do a forest animal but, I decided once I added the ribbons and sentiment tag it got a little busy so, I  never uploaded this one to the gallery.

Our Daily Bread Designs ornaments

 some one layer ones.

 and there was room for a few more so.

 that tray of tiny ornament tags ended up looking like this.

 Now I made two of these last year and they went fast and the people who seen them bought were pouty... so, the assumption is they will go over well this year too. they are folding Sizzix tag card dies with the belt being washi tape.

 This was done based on the color combo of the ornaments found in the balsam hill store site last saturday for the inspiration challenge, and yes the left side was trimmed after it was all dry.

 pretty colors eh?
This was done for this weeks featured stamper challenge where I came across this beautifully textured card and had the original idea I would do a one layer card but, the red corrugate caught my eye so, it did get some lumps.

Mini Coffee Cups

 So during what the fall coffee lovers blog hop Julee posted some cups that she painted the outside of the cups with paint and I loved that, and so I caved and ordered this small pack of 50 cups and 50 lids from Amazon way back when... I did this first one with a paper belly band, and that was kind of Humph. This sentiment is an older one from Stampin Up.

 So, there is crimped white paper inside these and 3 coffee/carmel hard candies in each one.

 they are also using some of those same Tim Holtz pad of paper and some other scraps so they can all be a little different. So the second one ( on the right) also has a paper band and by that time I was totally over that and everything else got ribbons or lace. which made me much happier to touch and look at. The one on the left that sentiment is from the Concord & 9th set called joyful noel. the one on the right is from Unity Stamps Naught, Nice or Notsure set.

 the first one took forever and that was the making the template part I think but, after that they go a lot faster. This one the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

 just different little sayings.
 This one the sentiment is from the ton's hug in a mug set. Its hard to see but there is a tiny heart shaped open brad through the tag hole of this one. The lace is from May Arts.

 These are pretty small ( smaller than a gift card) so, they can also hold folded cash or earrings or tiny little things like that too. The tiny merry little Christmas is from the SU set called cute converse and the Ho Ho Ho is from Stamping Bella called Santa has a Prezzie.

 So, I decided I need one to stay out for people to play with. now the one on the right is not wrapped it will be left out of the basket ( seen below) for people to open.

Like so,  and I just have them in plain ( flat card kind of clear envelops) longer ones that fold over, its not fancy but, If I spend a bunch of time wrapping them fancy people will not want to take them apart to add their gifts to the insides later is my thought.

the Open me at the top is from My Favorite Things gift tag greetings set.
I think the sample one will sit like so in front of the basket so, I really only have 8 sell able ones done at this point I am trying to decided if I should do some more in case some sell.
opinions? it also seems most of the people doing these for craft shows are putting them into a 3.00 range.
