Tea Bag gift holders

These use the same pattern as the one linked to in the HYCCT post with the glamour treat gift challenge. It was pointed out to me these would be really cool to have in the booth ( before it happened) so out of curiousity I asked oh what would you pay for something like this. was immediately told oh 1.50 tops... so I had to grin and say well... double sided printed paper costs a dollar a sheet. and this pretty much uses the entire sheet. so this costs more than 1.50 to make... Perhaps its an idea for next year but, maybe only having one filled with treats as an "idea" and then selling the others empty may work in that price range but, it would be a matter of finding nice paper you wanted to do it with for less than retail I guess.

these had ghirardelli squares in the center for the treats. used them as little personal thank-you's.

Naughty Cat

This stampendous Fluffies cat image came to me via someone at splitcoast  (a long time ago, I don't remember how I got it anymore sorry) I've colored it with copic's and added an Viva Las Vegas sentiment to it. this is 5 1/2" square in real life. the blue mat under the image panel is DCWV shimmer and the silver shimmer paper is unknown. the blue layer I think is Basic Grey and the silver shimer base is very thin, I dont think it is any old SU I think it must be from some value pack like staples years ago. ( it has that coverweight feel to it)

Just a little mermaid

I've had her colored on the table for a good 6-9 months now, with this shimmery printed paper and this bazzill base. but, she finally became a card yesterday. was going to make her a birthday card and happened to see these little envelopes of seals ( they don't have anything sticky on them to self seal as far as I can tell ) french general. but, and I know its hard to see but the gold is embossed and its the shape of a key on this one. The ribbon is generic. the tiny tag is an memorybox die cut on some cream textured shimmery scrap long ago. ( in real life the color is very close to how her gown is colored) This one is A-6 in real life.

A few more tags

So I did a little cleaning today and part of that for me is using up the piles of scraps... but, I also have piles of diecuts made from scraps through out the year so all of these tags went together very quickly using things just laying on the table... and then I thought some may be used by me this next month and may make up some gift tag bundled little gifts too.

made these snowflakes last spring sometime during VSN messing around for the card I did for one of Lee's challenges ( so they had to get used before I had to dust them again haha) these are 3" square in real life.

something that will most likely head to m'bellish.

this gal was the very first hampton arts dollar bin stamp I ever bought.

some my favorite things sentiments probably these will hold the employee Christmas turkey cards

I think I need a baby's first sentiment ... that could be cute on these little onesies.

Ways to use it...

So, there is a different kind of a challenge every day of the week at splitcoast. ( I know this, but not because I do them just because, I've seen the threads... ) so the one that happens on Thursday's is called ways to use it. and this week is called Black Friday. so the challenge was to create a black and white card with one pop of color. the scarf on the rubber romance girl I thought matched the vintage lace better in real life ( will have to look at this again in the day light) That's the cool thing about copic coloring you can change it later if you wanted to. and when I color upstairs I don't have all my markers up there. ( just the duplicate ones) so... this is 6" square in real life. thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving!

Shepherd's Marked Continued

these may just be blurry if enlarged. (not sure) eyes are tired and hand held the larger len's I usually use for my cards. didn't want to drag a tripod along because, there was really no where to hide one in the booth.

re-organized everything just a tad Sat am before it opened. It was a busy (shorter) day :)

You should probably know I don't count anything before I go and I don't count anything I come home with ( like how many of each kind of card) I can tell you that the three suitcases were very very full when I left and now all that is left over is in two of them with room to spare. ( so, they are the base seeds of next year's booth) Every year I do this what sell's best is the Christmas gift tags. followed by Christmas cards than Birthday cards. I believe I now have something like 4 birthday cards in my stash to start over again. Christmas I will probably mail away my self and will have to wait until I'm done with addressing envelopes to know if there are any left for next year.

started moving some cards to the back of the lid up out of the bottoms today too. ( which got more attention) at the end of the afternoon a gal from the school was going around the booths asking vendors if they "thought" they would come back for a Spring time booth same stuff, same space but to hold before mothers day... this was a fishing expedition to see if there was enough interest for them to round up volunteers to open the school. the hard part about this for me is... if I were to do this, I'd have to start today to have enough cards to fill the gap in the booth for a spring time display and I am usually starting the fantasy things now for the ren faires. decisions decisions.

2012 Shepherds Market Booth

Friday AM before it opened, ended up moving the ladder a little bit more side ways through out the day and such and there are less gift tags that usual. So today what I seen is most of the  ( what I think of as the COOL tags are gone and the better part of the Christmas cards are gone ) and I think this time around I am selling more full sized cards then tags. ( so far)
And I am too tired to go see about making just a few more.
and no one seem's interested in Thanksgiving this year ( so of course I have lots for that lol)

Click any photo to enlarge them. This booth is in the hallway between the cafeteria and Gym at Hosanna Christian School.

I have also had people remove the labels ( the ones in the suitcases that say these are Christmas cards these are birthday cards ) the ones on those big green clothes pins. ( people think they are "cute")

Saturday we will be open 9 am - 5 pm if you end up out and about stop by and say Hey!

Last Weekends Projects

This was done for this week's featured stamper challenge on splitcoast. And the card I chose from Patty's gallery I have both favorited there and Pinned on pinterest. ( this card ) and the changes I made are Its been enlarged to 5X7. changed the embossing folder. the making it a large size had too much green showing so added a second cream layer of embossed cardstock in there to break up the color. on my version I have also changed the printed paper to vintage lace. and the theme to Christmas. this tree is from the Lovely as a tree set. and I had to laugh at my self sorting through the Christmas cards going to the booth this week as this must be the year of the tree... lol I think last year was the year of the Santa. (and I bought even more Santa stamps this year but...) those are not being made into anything for this years booth. The sentiment's from justrite stampers. ribbons from Joanns, the embossing folder is from crafters concepts. (secret garden) the colors are Neenah classic cream with Always Artichoke.

So before I stamped the diecut in the card above I tested this color of memento ink ( toffee crunch) on a scrap to see if it would work... ( with the versafine ) and when I went up to clean up the mess. and trust me after HYCCT and the VSN mini and all the tags I made last week the mess is almost unbearable so a huge cleaning and purging is coming on shortly. but, anyways tossed this together because, there was nothing wrong with the tree in this color. and it went together fairly quick because, this ribbon scrap was on the table. this sentiment was already stamped and die cut. the papers the red is from MME and the dots are from theresa collins. This one's 6" in real life.

tried this Saturday Am because, this snowman was out dirty on the table from the days before ( soot stamped it ) and sprayed the vintage lace with some pale blue tattered angels spray. the ink on this is Ranger Stream with an white gel pen and some seambinding. ( number 8 sized shipping tag previously stained with ranger tea dye)

Comfy & Cozy VSN mini

Birthday cards

Someday I have to hunt this stamp down and buy her faerie song art stamps Kyra (this one is an PIF image from a long time ago)... she's fun to color. :) this ones is 5" square in real life and the panels are up on pop dots with some vintage wrights hemming lace and

FS295
When I found this card in Vicki's gallery I loved everything about it and I think I may have made mine a little larger ( its A-6) and I've changed the colors and the theme I did add some diamond glaze to the tire for dimension and this panel is up on pop dots. and I switched out the baubles for machine stitching instead. Hope you like it and you enjoy your week Vicki!
PS made and shot this card with my glasses off and I Did blow the stormy dog hair off it before it went in the envelope (rolling eyes here)

A CASE-ing Kind of an Day

So a while back I had seen this tag on pinterest... and my version the jingle bells are teeny and I used an sewing needle and stitched them to the ribbon with red thread as I could not feed the scrappers floss through the holes...

Today's featured Stamper case'd card. ( the original Jen's card can be seen here.) Mine's on the shabbier side with vintage lace & button and used my very first ever SU set (lace snowflakes) This ones A-6 in real life.

And so since those stamps were already inky...

made a couple of quick ones.

These ornaments were stamped and die cut ( eon's ago) I just added the gold thread to them today and said. good enough.

couple more Grateful tags were polished off after the tags I stained today got done drip drying.

recently I came across these peaceful wishes tags on Bev's blog and saved them so I could CASE them... Mostly SU with a few other sentiments.

Decided to try it on Kraft tags. the dots are bisque liquid pearls.

one last one while the pearls were drying...
