 Nope, the girls do not fit on my desk however, this was a photo I grabbed recently with my phone because, you may not know this but, this is an extremely rare thing to see Izzy decide to lay down with Grace. And this is what I found when I went looking to see what kind of troubles may have found her as at a year and a half-ish the temptations are plenty yes? :) 

 

I have been very industrious and making Christmas cards the last few weeks but, I have also been cleaning up along behind myself as I go. the piles tend to annoy me and really right this minute after work there is nothing on my desk. The gift card I won during the Coffee Lovers hop was spent and that order is on its way expecting to arrive here on Saturday. So, I could possibly have something to flash then, if not next week.  I keep having people ask for if they can poke around in my Christmas cards stash and buy some, so I have been now just as of today I think sold the last batch and now I can start on my own list. ( I do this to my self every year) and every year I think I will have this fabulous big stash for me to pick through when its time to do envelopes. ( and truly I do have some left, not sure how many as the suitcase of what is left is at work while I type this) but, I think there could just be a small part of me that enjoys the creating on the fly at the last minute. who knows. I do actually participate in yearly card quota type challenges to get some done, but I very rarely use those cards my self. Strange I know :) and I think I will do a big post where I just dump the photos all in one behind this if you are curious about what I have been up to. 

 

Congratulations again Julia, 600 weeks is such a fabulous accomplishment. And thanks to each of you who stop by and chat, It is such a warm and fuzzy thing to be a part of this community of bloggers. I hope you all have been continuing to be in good health and recovering quickly from things that have happened. I will be driving all day for work tomorrow. So I will be peeking in at odd times maybe friday and I am not sure the Zoom if I will have "enough" wi-fi for it to work on Saturday. and I am totally stumped about how to set up the phone and make a name tag ( where to put it). but, If I do not make it, know I am thinking of you all and will raise my coffee cup. :) Thanks for stopping by.

Tuesday when I got home from work as I had put together that tag seen in the mess at ohdarkthirty when before the sun came up. (after this was shot I did clean this up and make a couple more fallidays things the glitter ones) I think the carpet may still sparkle.
 

So, I mentioned I have been a shopping fool yes? Happy Birthday to me evidence has arrived. (it was last month and I bought so much stuff that there is just not time enough to play with it all and its been piling up. but, the hope is that with the long holidays approaching soon I will have time to make things with it.

as seen on tv..hahaha nope, wait it was rather a link during the coffee lovers blog hop, Amy posted something with these cups and I ended up ordering the November die release package and the snowflake stamps and that starry border die because, ( I think the stars will look awesome behind the Santa) Speaking of the coffee hop I actually won one of the prizes a gift certificate from Kat Scrappiness which is really exciting.

This is a quick look at the tag that is in the middle of the mess. it is two colored twine wrapped around a candy cane die ( from the ton seen above) and then the candy cane was cut from the red tag shape and the wrapped piece is behind the red tag and backed with a second white tag so its sandwiched in between the two tags and its texture peeks through. Its a fallidays challenge from Kelly that has a tutorial seen here. 

That sentiment is from the ellen hutson retro holiday greetings set and the tag shape is a poppy stamps mainstreet pinpoint tag. ( the largest one in the set)  I am totally counting down the days until I have some time off. Oregon went back into a partial lock down again starting today which will make finding an open place to use the rest room a challenge on the days I haul Ice. ( tomorrow) supposedly this one is a 2 week one but, I am not so sure 2 weeks will make a dent in it so, I bet it will be extended through the holidays. We are healthy and hanging in there here, hope you are all too. Thanks for stopping by.

Inspired by {Cute Tape}

 This week Angie has the Inspiration challenge taking a look at Cute Tape online where I found this pretty floral one and I loved the colors but, I am in Make Christmas cards mode now. And it is also the end of the week for the fall/winter coffee lovers blog hop so, I have combined them both into what you see here.

 

 This to-go cup with the bloom is a new one from the Stamplorations line called Falalalalatte and the sentiment is from the Holiday Mocha feels set. The image was stamped on some Neenah and colored with Polychromos and prisma pencils. I did not blend the cup as I did some cross hatching and I wanted the texture to remain there. I also added some Nuvo crystal drops to the stamens in the center and this was cut out with scissors and is up on foam pop dots over everything else. The other square pieces are from the Waffle flower lacy squares die and the Memory Box stitched circle die. The ribbon is unknown (but, maybe Stampin' Up) and the printed paper is from Kaiserkraft. I did tone it down a little towards the center by cutting one layer of the set of dies with some thin vellum that was run through an Xyron to give it that total adhesive coverage as I do not have good luck with the "vellum" tape runner style glues not showing through. It's just a simple one but, it made me smile when it was done as its a not so traditional color combo for me. This one finished out at 5 1/2" square in real life.

Fall/Winter coffee lovers blog hop {day 7}

 Hi, Welcome back. The continues to be a Falliday's challenges are SCS and the bi-annual Coffee lovers blog hop going on now so this is a two-fer card that works for the hop and for Kathy's fallidays challenge to do either Thanksgiving or a Thank-you card (autumn themed)

So, I stamped off this Tricia gal from Unity stamps on some Neenah and colored her with prisma & polychromos pencils. I cut that with a Waffle flower slim rectangle die ( and used the same die set for the Mello Moss layer) and then cut some Die Cuts With A view printed stripe paper with a pinkfresh studios Diagonal stitched slimline die for that mat. The base here is some baked brown sugar and its 4" x 9" in real life.  Does anyone recognize that sentiment? ( I have spent the last couple of years unmounting a bunch of old wood blocked sets and I do not have that one in the evernote file) but, it is rubber and best guesses are Unity Stamps, Hero Arts or SU. ( not really sure)

So, there is a coffee lovers fall/winter blog hop going on now, and there is also Fallidays challenges happening at SCS. some of my previous entries are in the posts before this one.  I always need a pile of gift card holders for work turkey cards. ( they are really gift cards to a one stop shopping place that even has a gas station) because, in the past employees were sent home with a turkey at Thanksgiving and at Christmas and one year we received a turkey that was bigger than our oven. Yeah, for a long time now we have just gone the gift card route. I had seen there there was a make a gift card holder as one of the Fallidays challenges and I started doing these last weekend from a die that I had not played with previously ( I don't think)  but, I had no time to mess with them on Monday so this is a Tuesday when I got home shot and yes, I deliberately left it looking like this since then just to have something with more texture than my glass mat to shoot for you all ha ha. The washi tape is a recent birthday gift from Cortnie that I had opened yesterday as the shop trucks are rotating through tire places and the dealerships for tires to be swapped out for winter studded ones and oil changes and I took some scraps and skinny dies to work Monday with the intentions of cutting some in the slow times but, forgot to haul down some washi tape so, a roll of that went to work yesterday ( and no, I did not have time to cut any) but, today is one of the days I will be there without my truck so as a captive audience I just may cut some bitty memory box to-go coffee cups. I have an idea for them to use as ornaments on a tree and I really don't know if it will work but, that's one of the ideas floating around in my brain while I was wishing I was at home from work. It is Veteran's day in the US today and I have an idea of what I want to do when I get home again so, hopefully I can get this mess moved out of the way first.  And the most exciting news is I signed the contract for the fiber line install yesterday so, hopefully I will have a count down to install it date soon. Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter blog Hop {day 4}

 Hi, Welcome back It's day 4 of the Coffee Lovers fall/winter blog hop and this is just a simple one because, I wanted the sentiment (Katzelkraft batman darkside quotes set) that made me smile to have center stage. ( it was impossible to catch the lights on this but, all those coffee beans (honeybee stamps) have been covered with some diamond glaze so, this has some pretty cool texture and shine in real life. The sentiment panel is up on foam pop dots over that background. There is a little bit of espresso distress oxide ink along the edges of that to help transition from all the white to the background a little easier on the eyes.

 

The beans were stamped with Versafine and watercolored with a handful of brown waterbased markers. The sentiment panel was diecut with a My favorite things stitched rectangle die and the beans on it were also covered with some diamond glaze. the textured ric rac was something I found in a local craft warehouse store ( a few years back) it had no mfg. info on the spool. This one finished out at A2 in real life.
