Coffee Filter Peony

So, it finally happened I actually finished something with those coffee filters... and here are a few thoughts I learned a long the way. ( water filters through them, put a blotter underneath if you want to color on it with something WET lol), glue does not really want to stick to them either so, you're going to have to think about alternate adhesive if you want it to be on a card or something.
I started the first filter stamping with oxide ink then decided to watercolor over that... of course it bleed out. but, the colors did remain vibrant, So I then grabbed this new pen and ink peony stamp ( Impress) and stamped it in versafine and water colored with the worn lipstick oxide ink. this did work, it did bleed through, so, being not very patient, I did hit it with my heat gun which promptly smoked it... then after if finally air dried, I scribbled on some distress marker and some sparkle noir pink pen over the of it.
you may catch some of the bling in this shot if you enlarge it. the sentiment (clearly besotted message me) was a piece of kraft cardstock that has some worn lipstick oxide ink smooshed into it.
This is up on foam pop dots.

I did originally add some ATG glue to the back side of the flower petals but, it did not really want to stick so, I ran this piece through the sewing machine to the top quilted shimmer (DCWV) paper. The base is Bazzill and this one finished at 6" square in real life. This weeks Inspiration challenge heads to Audrie's IC board on pinterest where I found this peonies color jumpstart for a spring board.
