Two Paper Diva's Spring Blog Hop

Hi, and Welcome to the Two Paper Diva's Spring Blog Hop. For me Spring always equates Planting season in my mind. and with that thought I used some stamps from Seeds of Hope and the Little red wagon for a Mothers Day card. My family used to take me to the Nursery every mothers day and drag the cart of plants around and come home and dig holes for me every year. The last few years the planting things like that has slowed down because, we have been in this house for 11+ years now so the beds are in pretty good shape, the only really seasonal thing I do anymore is the annual pots and hanging baskets around the yard and Hubs starts those as seeds in his greenhouse.

The Wagon was masked off before the plants and pots were added into this scene. the pot on the left in the front was stamped on a scrap of this watercolor card and cut out and paper pieced into the design. All of the watercoloring was done with QoR watercolors and a small #2 round paint brush.

Finished off with a Sentiment from Banners #1 This was die cut with an insert from the Spellbinders die set and the left side was cut off . Tied off with some May Arts burlap string across the painted panel. The base is also a pre made Strathmore watercolor card A-7 in sized so, the painted panel is flush on it, there is no foam tape or pop dots between the layers.
There are going to be drawings held from comments left along the hop so, be sure you check out all the fun things the team has put together here:

Stacy - I love the "garden" look of your card. It reminds me of a country garden out of a magazine. I love the colors and the "wagon" with the flowers is just amazing and takes me back to my childhood and my grandmother's gardens...

Great job on the coloring but wow, awesome masking job. You got right in there and bumped up perfect. Your story reminded me of my own Mothers Days years ago before I got my arthritises and used to garden. xoxo
