Primary Wishes

Did you see the Mixed Media challenge today at Splitcoast is Primary colors? You can read that to play along here.
So, knowing that I started with this Open poppy from Impress stamped with red satin versafine on some Ranger watercolor paper. and this was colored with QoR watercolors. the center was more green than yellow when dry mixing the blue and yellow so, after that was dry I did over lay the stamens with some yellow prisma pencil and then some yellow staedatler triplus fine liner in yellow.
There is also some cloud blue prisma pencil over the highlighted bits of the petals and then I decided you could not "see" blue anywhere really on the bloom unless you have like eagle eyes So, I picked up this scrap diecut blue piece ( along with the square frame) that were just laying there and thought maybe so, then I added in the yellow vintage lace and thought hmmm.

So, this bloom was cut out and placed on pop dots of foam and the sentiment is from the Altenew set called birthday greetings. and there is a smudge of brown in the center of the flower but, its really not that distracting from the primary colors of the challenge. ( well that's my thought anyways)
It's kind of funny in my head just how much I like that piece of blue in the background the flower really POPs on it yes? :)
