A few Challenge cards

Last weekend the featured stamper chosen was Geni, and I had seen this pretty card and loved every detail but, I was neck deep in washing all the dishes and things that we had hauled down from the attic to put away in the new cupboards hubs built for the hallway/breeze way room that connects the laundry room to the garage... so, there was no play time and this is late. the butterfly ( justrite) was stamped with versafine and colored with Zig clean brush markers and water. ( it's up on pop dots over the other panels)

Changes were to flip the card to landscape, and switch the embossed floral panel to a printed paper one. ( with a few less layers) this is A-6 in real life. ( sentiment is from Impression Obsession)

Now these were done inspired by this "painting for Ant's" artist  Lorraine Loots site and I happened across this bird painting. ( look closely at the size of it, WOW eh?) so, these little birds are on cards that are only 3" square. the bird on the right is from the old SU set called feathered hope, the bird on the left has an index sticker with the date 1999 on it... but, it is not in the 98, 99, 2000, or 2001 big books so chances are I got it from one of the mini books and my mini books only date back to 2002... ( so if you recognize the bird on the left please share people have been asking me and I have no clue)

Now this one was done for today's featured stamper Julie who has this cool card seen here. And I loved how it gives you the perspective that you are inside the room looking out... so, since you need to make changes, the first change was to reverse the perspective and do it from the outside of the home. The brick panels were run through the big shot inside a Tim Holtz folder and inked with rusty hinge distress then I rubbed on some metallic rub-on's over that randomly and removed parts of that with a baby wipe to give it a dirty brick look. This sentiment is a stand alone one from Two Paper Diva's that came out during the January release. this Kitty is from Poppy Stamps and was an gift rak'd to me from Janice (thanks!!) and the window is from the Mama Elephant die set called window watching. I did cut the window frame from the brick panel where I wanted to embed the white frame, and I used a piece of DCWV printed paper that looked a little lacy to be the curtain or wall paper inside the room behind the cat. The satin leaf vine ribbon is from May Arts and this one is A-7 in real life.

Great cards Stacy! The butterfly is STUNNING! Great layout and design. Those little birds are so sweet, and they pack a punch being surrounded what all that gorgeous white space. And your last card is so sweet with the cat in the window. :) xx
