Some winter Chick Humor

This week's featured Stamper is Pat and she had this really cool off set angled huge snowflake card that I just loved. and then she had this use the negative die cuts card and a wintry snow tree line scene card... and you get the picture... so, this was a little bit of a morphing thing from seeing her gallery early on sunday. The guys ran out to a shooting range, yes out doors in the snow while it was snowing ( I am rolling my eyes) so, Grace and I headed upstairs where I mostly pushed things around on the table and put away a bunch of recently stamped sentiments. the snowflake die's are all from Sizzix the wooden glittered snowflake is in the use it up pile, the button I cut the shank off the back the one with the large sentiment (SU) I had to do that as I dropped my cutterbee scissors on the side of my hand so there is the tiny-est bit of blood underneath of that tag. so, off the side a big sentiment went, (it had to be on the cream part right?)
such is life, these are 6" square in real life.

Now, this was done for last weeks featured stamper Cheri, who had this fun card in her gallery that I just loved the humor of it. so, since I knew I had this chick (art impressions bird brains)  colored already on the desk and I had just gotten these sentiments (dylusions) in the mail this one kinda just went together really really fast. funny true story. if you sand embossed kraft core card stock that happens to be kraft colored... its the same color on the inside so sanding does not show you something new lol, so the embossed panel was then inked. The fibers are an old one from fibers by the yard. This one is 6" square in real life.

I put this bra die cut (MFT) together a few months ago during hope you can cling to, and its just been on the table ever since. so, Its up on pop dots and the sentiment is from Custers last stamp. this is an tiny A-2 card that is pretty CAS for me.

Last weeks Last minute tags

This ornament tag is one of the ones cut on the Cricut over thanksgiving the printed paper circle is from basic grey, the sentiment is from that fun taylored expressions set ( ps you're welcome) the wooden snowflake was painted with acrylic paint and sprinkled with glitter a while back.

This is another one of those Cricut stockings on a previously sprayed shipping tag. I am thinking the sentiment came out of a unity stamps set with the bitty snowmen and that poinsettia is a 3-d sticker. The joy sentiment is from stampendous.

The tag card bodies are a Sizzix die and the Santa's belt is washi tape from little B. I did use those new card maker sized perfect layers rulers to do the mats of white under it.

The sentiment is from dylusions. from just some of the scraps on the table. the shipping tag was sprayed a long time ago. with some Fancy pants corrugate and May Arts burlap string. the jingle bells were in one of those packs from Joanns a few years ago. ( they are not the smallest size)

 more folded tag cards.
this really is a handy die as when its folded it is big enough to hide a gift card into also.

Because, there were these scraps... the printed paper that looks like you could use it in a Christmas sweater contest has some bling to the red parts. my mind has gone blank on the mfg info at the moment, that sentiment is up on pop dots and the card is a pre made one that is blingy red.

The metal bell charm is unknown, the tag was cut with the cricut and the sentiment I believe is from SU.

The sentiment on this one is also SU the largest heart is an Sizzix primitive shape and the stitched heart is from Simon Says Stamp.

HYCCT gift package

During the month of October while everyone is busy making cards daily for the Hope You Can Cling to card drive there are awesome sponsor's who give away gifts to randomly drawn participants... and I was one of the lucky winners this year, I received these things from Perfect Paper Crafting in the mail this last week and I am pretty excited about trying that new ruler. So, this was just a fun little thing like icing on the cupcake after you have all those feel good feelings as you box up the cards and sent them on their way to have something like this given back to you after. :)

WOYWW # 341 (stuff & more stuff)

oh my gosh it's Wednesday, I am home and I actually have desk shots... lol... if you do not know what that means try our hostess Julia's blog here for all the details to play along.
I have missed you guys so, it will probably take me a couple of days to make the rounds. my work schedule has changed a little and now I will be out of the office on every other friday instead of earlier in the week. ( oh what fun) lol still not like that get home in the dark thing, so I am totally looking forward to Christmas next week when the days start getting lighter longer again cycle.

So, these are actually very early Wed am shots, and this is how I left the table on monday evening... so, I had sold a stack of Christmas gift tags and cards over the last week at work and we had a call from a good customer ( who has to drive 30 minutes to make it into this town ) on tuesday that she would be stopping by on Wed hoping for "funny" Christmas cards. so, there are a few left at work but,

knowing that I had stamped and cut these sentiments on Monday I went up and pushed them all to the edges of the cutting mat and tossed together these really simple ones below with some Authentique papers.

So, really these are perfectly flat simple ones, this card June bought within minutes of seeing it. as one her nieces is expecting baby #2... the sentiment is from two lips. ( a new company I think) die cut with an stitched rectangle die. that strip under it is the reverse side of the Santa paper.

This one the sentiment is from dylusions and this one is 6" square in real life. No, I have not addressed or mailed any of my personal Christmas cards I am planning to send. no, not all the gifts have arrived or been wrapped yet either. such is life. and what does get done will just have to be "good enough"

Sunday's Projects

So, Hubs needed a thank you card for the man who kept all his sheep fed twice a day while we were gone and this is what I came up with, I know the background stamp is a Tim Holtz one and the sentiment is from Impression Obsession.

My gpa had a successful heart valve installed this week so, this one is headed his way. sentiment on the front is from lawn fawn ( I think) might be avery elle I mess them up in my head a lot. the wood mounted (Verse's) sentiment is on the inside and this one is A-7 in real life, I did use a micro pen to dot the eye on the wood veneer bird. It has that "sentiment down below" thing going on as the printed paper is over the top of the sentiment layer.

Now this was a mix of a couple of things I seen in this weeks featured stampers gallery this morning and it kind of morphed over the day in my head. she has these really cool tags here, and this beautiful (delicate) card here. So, this large ornament shaped tag was cut on a Cricut, (but my cartridge is not here yet so, I don't remember the name of which one this came off of.)  The wreath is from Sizzix, the sentiment is from SU.
And then I wrapped some Christmas gifts since we got the tree up and decorated yesterday.

Which left this space on the table where I "seen" I had this stacked pile of December Daily things bought and gathered this year, so... I opened them up.

I might of bought more "stuff" than will fit in an album or two ...

So its a mish mash of December Daily pieces from Ali Edwards, with the Jasmine Jones add on  some Authentique, Heidi Swapp and Becky Higgins things with some October Afternoon Ephemera pieces. there are some things after finding them in the box my mind said not only No, but maybe for a card or something and those things moved to the table where I stamp. ( thick plastic red snowflakes, some tube of maybe paint, some of the "other" clear Project life sheets. probably going to sort the small's better in the day light and cut up the pieces from Authentique that need divided. but, its a Start. (still have to get some of the photos I have been taking this month printed.)

some loot mugshots

Did a little shopping during black friday and the day after so, this is just partially some of the things that followed me home that were not Christmas gifts for other people. ( mailed home 3 boxes too)

We found this store called crafts direct that had a coffee shop built into one of its two buildings and they had this line Verses that I had not seen before, and I have not seen stamps by Judith in a real store on the shelf before either so...

the dies on the left are from Darice and were a gift from my mom. ( who knew they made dies? I have a bunch of their folders) and the giraffe on the right came in the mail ( after waiting for a month) from Marianne designs.

now this was saturday's happy mail and see that bag of markers and the snowman punchie ( that was a free gift from Frantic Stamper with this order. WOW So far I have cut both the star and the angel ( yesterdays tag post) and stamped off some of the elf/gnomes? ( not sure what they are) to color. and  now all the boxes have arrived so, there is more unpacking and wrapping ahead.
anyways, it's good to be home.

tuesday's tags

the heart die is from Sizzix and the star is from Savvy Stamps dies.

this angel die is from frantic stamper. and it was cut from some shimmery white on a tag colored with color burst's. the CAS challenge this week is shade of green.

the deer is a Sizzix diecut and the tag was sprayed with some inks ( a long time ago) and that sentiment hmmm, thinking maybe IO off the top of my head.

The stocking is a sizzix die and the stars are MFT stitched dies and the heart is a simon says stamp die and the Joy is stampendous and the just for you is SU.

the large snowflake is from Tim Holtz sizzix (and it was embossed too cut from some shimmery opal cardstock the blooms and sprigs are also same co. the love from all is Hero Arts.

and all of these were done with things that had been previously cut, colored and diecut a while back. the gal who needed the tequila birthday card also picked up 4 other cards and made a request for Christmas tags to come to work. so looking at what was left over after the booth decided to toss these together to give the basket a little more variety.

Last tuesday's desk..

So, these are quick snapshots of the desk from last tuesday before I made the tags that I never got around to posting on wednesday... Hopefully this week is going to go better. of course the list of things I "want" to get done is competing with the list of things that "have to" be done.

Some fun stamps from a new to me company called Two lips stamps. ( they are all pretty fun and cute so, click on the photo for it to enlarge. ) mostly I am going through my phone shots looking for ones I think I may want to have printed for December daily. but, it seems to me I got a email from Costco photo center that they have "fixed" their breach (of what ever happened for people who upload to them to print) but, the what ever had happened sometime after I got the new computer at home and I have not "re-joined" or found their store and signed in on the new one yet. so, I am fairly certain my info is fine. but, getting that email did not make me want to run out and start printing gobs of pictures again either haha.

Sunday's cards

While we were gone June took an order for a birthday card with this sentiment on it for a lady to give to her daughter. so, I do have two birthday sentiments stamped with this ink diecut in that shape (smaller) for her to choose for the inside. knowing that I was totally thrilled when I came across this gorgeous card in this week's featured stampers gallery so, changes were to change the bow to a knot and the pearl to a charm and there are you know a few less layers and such. This dawn hauser dress was stamped twice and I did cut out the skirt part to layer under the whole dress and removed the hanger from the image too.

A different lady who came by the booth had bought a card I made with this wedding couple on it but, their family has two weddings this month and so, she had seen someone ( maybe her mom ) buy the card I had done with the couple below that was blues and yellows. so, I told her I could make her a second card with a choice when I got home and these are her choices. the large lace on this one is vintage and the skinny lace is May arts. that sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp and the couple is tiddly inks.

This couple is probably the most "grown up" one I have for weddings I also have the little kids dressed up from Lili of the valley and this was the couple she seen on the other card. so, without knowing any details of the weddings I just tried for something classic. the Mr & Mrs is from SU and the congratulations is from Hero Arts. that lace is May arts with some basic grey & reminice papers.

I do have a ton of photos to process from when we were gone plus random shopping / loot shots so will do a catch up post later. ( hopefully before wednesday haha)

Saturday's cards

So, it is still bird hunting season here and hubs was up at ohdarkthirty again Saturday am so, after he left I had hours to spare before I had to be at the booth so, I ended up gluing these cards together. ( the bones of them were bits and pieces on the table of things I intended to make but, never got around to it) the Hail Mary is from Our Daily Bread Designs. the lace paper is an scrap with no mfg info on it. this one was 6" square in real life.

This one that basket came to me via wish rak a very long time ago. ( I do not know who sent it anymore or the mfg info.) it was colored with pencils a really long time ago too. and it was one of those things that had some diamond glaze added to it because of the oops a while back. its up on pop dots over the corrugate.

another colored a long time ago one, the lace is vintage and this one is 6" square too. This one did not sell and the two above did. but, this one did get snickered over. it might be even funnier with the call your mom sentiment J sent for my birthday on the inside. so, its something to think about for later.
and yes, there is a ton of stuff to organize and put away today. ( it's all still in the trucks)

Shepherd's Market (display) 2015

In the hallway that connects the gym to the cafeteria I had both sides of the hallway this time, but the school had put in a display case for extra basketball trophys on the other side of a doorway that goes into a tiny kitchen they use for consession stands during games. so, it was more like 1 1/2 of the hallway. there was barley clearance for double wide strollers to go through here. so, may need to rearrange the spinner racks next time.

These are just blurry phone shots but, it gives you the idea.

the ones on the bottom are general gift card's and tags and the two higher up were Christmas.

I need to stain more clothes pins next year too because, I picked up a stack of those white picture frame hangers from Kohls this year and it gave me more places to hang things but, there was not quite enough clips so. the tags that normally end up inside the suit cases saying what is in that suit case or another did not get hung up either this time.

Those are metal keys that came from Micheals a few years ago with some heat embossed tags.

I also need to make the wooden shelves longer before next time so they stick out from the ladder a few more inches. the way I used to display them into the walkway on just one side I always had one end of the ladder against the wall so, people could only get to things from one side on each one and so, having them flat this time makes it you could use both sides ( if there was enough flat space to park something on)
the weather was really good this year and we had swarms of people on friday with a slower pace on saturday. ( and I did really good ) There are no food things in here just paper cards, tags, altered gift sacks, things like that.

Tea for 2 {for the holidays}

So, I seen Paula use these teacup dies during hope you can cling to... and I loved her card, so one of these fell into the cart at Amazon too. ( I actually ordered like 4 or 5 dies and a stamp set but, they are all shipping from all over and this one came on Wednesday so, I had a smidge of spare time between packing things to the truck and leaving to set up the booth so these were done really quick as little A-2 cards on pre made bases that sparkle.

The sentiments are from Verve Stamps die cut with an Hero Arts (tall & cute tags die) and all that is up on pop dots on these cards.

11.18.2015

Wednesday's cards

So, I have been wanting this sleigh for a while now and they had it at a good price on Amazon a while back and it landed on my porch today so, I cut one to see what it would look like and I think I will do the whole base as the shiny diecut and paper piece the sleigh body onto that rather then paper piecing the legs/sled to the body... ( easier to glue that way I assume) this one is 5 1/2" square in real life.

and a few more scraps were used up. and the table is almost cleaned off.. and the bulk of what is heading to the booth display tomorrow is in the garage ready to load into trucks tomorrow. so, if there is enough daylight tomorrow may make a few more things, but, seriously the only thing that there is room for is more Christmas cards. So, I don't know if I will or not. every year the display gets a little bigger. and a little heavier to haul around.
