Apple of my Eye...

We've got Apples! (tis almost a miracle lol) this little red delicious has not produced a single one yet and this year the tree is loaded... (not ready yet) just something fun, we were told fruit trees were not harvest able until they reached 4+ years old so when we bough this place we put in all the trees as 3 year old trees ( which of course costs more ) but, we have been getting peaches and pears for years... last year we would have gotten the first batch of apples we think if an freak late frost had not killed all the buds... so this is nice, i like to dry them in slices and just put baggies full in my pockets for snack food so, the idea of not having to buy apples to do that with is really appealing..
My G-pa used to say that to me when I was a little girl, still have no idea what it means but, found this Stampa Rosa sentiment recently and thought ah ha...
This is an Stampin'Up! Apple (can't remember the set name off hand there were two sets though, and i have all my fruit stamps in one box so...) anyways its stamped with versafine vintage sepia ink on Neenah classic cream and colored with prisma pencils, the edges of the panel are inked in colorbox creamy brown fluid chalk ink and its up on pop dots. the ribbons unknown, the printed papers are from My Minds Eye and the cardbase is Bazzill. its A-6 in real life.
stole some time to color yesterday evening so hopefully will have more cards to share soon, have tons of yard shots but... also tons of yard work to do now that's its trying to cool off enough to be out in the yard again. :)

Some fruit trees can take seven years and it depends upon the type of that fruit as well so that may be why it'st just now producing, plus fruit trees can have 'off' years where they don't produce but they are fine the next year. We had peach trees and apple trees when we lived in the country.
